2008 was a year where all title contenders drove badly. You have Massa spinning 5 times at Silverstone, spinning in Australia, spinning in Malaysia, going off at Monaco. And then you have Hamilton crashing into Alonso at Bahrain, crashing in the pit lane in Canada, illegally overtaking Vettel in France, and generally lacking pace at Brazil. And then you have Raikkonen crashing in Monaco, crashing in Spa, crashing in Singapore. A very error-prone season in the first year of the traction control ban and that is what made 2008 so entertaining in my opinion. The unpredictability was off the charts.

Say everything you want about 2 of Massa's spin, but the other 3 are pretty obvious to someone that is serious and doesn't want to joke that there is an issue
-He spun twice at Luffield when he smoothly applied the throttle, without touching any kerb white line. Kimi spun in the same manner once.

I remember my parents talking about how Massa kept spinning at Silverstone in the wet very early in his career, it seemed he never learned and spun the most in this race too 😂

Leclerc finally found a solution to these spins. He just uses the rotational momentum to do another spin right away, and keeps going!

After the second spin there was zero chance of Massa making a comeback, the way F1 was back then. He should've just retired the car as Lewis would say.

imagine if Button had quit in Canada 2011... when he pitted for the third time, there was no way that he could've done a comeback... Honestly, only weak people think like this. That they should give up just because they spin twice. You never know when the rain will stop, a safety car will come in... Imagine if all those things happened and he had gave up before...

You should not give up even when you are last. Remember Monaco gp rewind a few weeks ago. The 3rd podium was the last car. Maybe all the car in front will crash at the final lap and massa can get on the podium.
