Thanks!!! My 60 yr old hips feel a bit looser, YAY!!!! Looking for a workout my students can follow returning from injury. This was a great introduction. Thanks!!!!
My back feels better after doing this workout. My chiropractor says I need to be doing hip flexor exercises. I can't make ballet class all the time anymore (used to take class 3-5 time per week), so this is helpful.
That's great to hear that your back is feeling better after the workout! It sounds like incorporating hip flexor exercises into your routine is making a positive difference. Keep up the good work, and I hope your progress continues! 🧡
Thank you so much from this! Recovering from an ankle break and this is an amazing way to keep my dance strength. Any other tips for non weight bearing exercises? Also, in the arabesque section on your hands and knees, do you want to turn the hip out or try to keep it square to the floor?
ive done ballet for 7 years and had to quit last year due to constant adductor and low back pain :( must have been using the wrong muscles over the years
Sorry to hear that. Hope you are well. There are several alternatives to continue the love for ballet. In TLB, we offer trainings that could slowly bring your strength back. Just train constantly and slowly til' your back on track. Stay fit and healthy Crev. 🧡
love the video, is the advanced version the one with only the title "ballet body floor barre class" (taged at the end) or is there one called advanced too (could only find the beginner version here)?
I don't mean to nitpick, or say anything negative or anything like that at all. To me though, ballet has a singular aesthetic focus: the shoes. Like so many other forms of dance/ exercise you can do them wearing just about anything on the body. But the shoes (whether it's pointe shoes, ballet slippers, irish ghillies, tap shoes etc) really put a person in that mindset. I'm just curious as to why you don't wear ballet shoes in any of your videos.
Hi Anthony! Glad you noticed that. In TLB, we incorporated ballet into different kinds of workouts, thus, we train LIKE a ballerina but they're not solely ballet routines. Thus, ballet shoes is not really necessary. But you may if you want to 😊
