- This 2020 Army Green Toyota Tundra TRD Pro might just be the perfect pickup truck. At least until something proves otherwise to me.

That was me in the 4runner!!!!
Really? Sup dude haha
I like all second-generation Tundras and currently own a 2021 CrewMax Limited. The only modifications I've made to the truck are adding a tailgate actuator, ceramic tint, and a spray-in bedliner. I've also purchased 2.5" King shocks with adjusters and a transmission cooler, which I plan to install when the truck reaches 60,000 miles. I removed all the badges and intend to keep the factory height, as lifting the truck would make it difficult to park in the garage. Additionally, my wife, who is 5'2", can barely climb in as it is.
Tundras are so baller. Same motor as the land cruiser.
My dad just bought one of these about 8 months ago. He got a 2021, because he wanted the V8. He loves how the technology is minimal but also just enough at the same time. His has push to start and the 38 gallon gas tank and is an army green TRD offload. His buddy got a 3rd gen and already Toyota has recalled that stupid 3.5L TTV6. Luckily his truck isn't effected because his is a hybrid but the point is, those smaller displacement motors that are boosted to shit don't belong in trucks! Keep them in the fancy sports cars and mom SUVs! The 2nd gen tundra is the last of its kind, and they will have a very large demand for years to come. To anyone who buys one of these bears, keep and drive it until the wheels come off cause no car company is gonna make anything close to it probably ever again!
Yup I fully agree. I want this truck!
Ohhh man the throaty sound of the exhaust is ASMR to my ears 😁
It makes the fuel economy even worse because you want to hear it all the time
I own a 04 v8 4wd 4runner and I’ve driven my buddy’s 09 tundra on and off road and it’s a beast
They're definitely tough trucks
It's not outdated, it only has one purpose to get you to point A and B.
Out of all the trucks I have owned my Tundra was the all time favorite. I still have my 2004 V8 4Runner that I absolutely love. New Method wheels and Nitto Nomad tires added this year and it made for a great look...Keeping it forever! Looking for another Tundra like this one when I replace the current one I'm driving now.
I think I have an unhealthy obsession with V8 Toyotas
@@CanadianGearhead, Yes! Me too!
extended cab with the 6.5 foot bed with hard shell camper top and thats my truck.
having a functional hood scoop feels even better 😉
Yeah that's 1 of my wishes.
@@chadreamer5735 username checks out🤣🤣🤣
These second gen.Tundras are million mile trucks.
Event is an understatement I can’t wait for all these ford ram and Chevy guys to all be outlasted by these 5.7s
Have a 21 trd sport crewmax army green, tow limit is 10,200. Tows 33" travel trailer just fine, even in hill country
Dude Magnuson makes a supercharger for the 5.7l tundra and maybe the v8 4runner.
If u want best performance shock for ur 4runner and u like going extremely hard and Fast, I highly recommend billsteen 8112s dsa+ and 8100 bypass! Look 5-8k in to suspension is a lot of money. Trust me it's worth it!
Check out Shock Surplus for all your shock needs! Not sponsored, just a great experience.
Oh, and I seriously recommend just watching vids on TH-cam of what the Billsteen 8112s can do! It's very impressive. The only way to describe them is, that these shocks are faster than the engine, the chassis; faster than the whole truck itself. So fast u begin to run out of throttle. And the sheer rebound of these shocks makes the ground quake. Dude they f*king badass!
Such a great truck! 🛻 I've had a 2009 Sequoia limited, 2016 TRD Off Road Tundra and now I have a 2020 TRD Pro Tundra... all amazing trucks
I agree, Toyota did a great job on all of them
Will never get rid of my 2020 Tudra Pro.
Also have a 06 Tundra with the 4.7
Bullet proof
I have a 2017 TRD Pro, which I love. Although, wouldn't mind a 2020 to get little stuff like auto unlocking door handles and push to start.
Same here haha oh well 🤷🏽♂️
previous owner did a muffler delete on mine, and it was sort of embarrassing taking off from a red light because it' s not fast, but i've got used to it and learned to not mind. the stereo upgrades helped
Muffler deletes are the worst!
Really nice looking truck, with the sole exception of the green interior accents which look absolutely awful.
Yeah that green console doesn’t look good at all
On the market for a truck, tundra high on the listed but the 5.7 out of my budget unless it replaces my 4.7 V8 4Runner.
Bro I’ve been thinking about it. But I love my Ranger 2.3 ecoboost
I have a 2020 Tundra Limited and put the trd exhaust on it. That trd exhaust is perfection with the 5.7. It gives a unique v8 rumble unlike others. I also have a camaro ss 1le with the chevy performance exhaust and i can't even hear it like you can in the Tundra.
I'm kind of surprised they would make a factory exhaust sound this aggressive but I love it
I drove my friends stock tundra and my girlfriends father w the same mileage the TRD exhaust makes a big difference in acceleration I thought he had a tune til I did some research
A real truck! I have a 2019 incredible bulletproof vehicle. I drove four different models of the new tundras and didn't like any of them for various reasons
Interesting, I haven't driven a new one yet but I'd love to try it
Badass truck!! Where did you get the parking sensors installed?
Bump
Mine is SR5 Crewmax 2WD and towing is 10,200 lbs
Excelente 🎉🎉🎉
Another thing to note about the flush fogs you mentioned- that mod is also to add stability. The oem fog light housings on the tundra are awful and shake like crazy going down the road. Those flush mounts help eliminate this!
Great info!
I can confirm,never selling my 2021 CM,ever best 5/8 truck. Yes 5/8 .
Man, you should have gotten a 2020 TRD PRO SEQUOIA 😂 jk love your truck!
I love the Sequoias too
RoxBlox Mud Flaps! Have them on my 550whp focus rs, small & slim!
Ahh that's the name!
Well I am happy with my 23 4Runner and 20 Tundra. Don’t need that new crap with tv screen taking up space. TVs are for the living room!
It seems you are describing my 2008 sequoia 5.7L excluding the shocks - which is perfect.
Just hit 221550 miles today. No issues.
Throw some Michelins on that and you’ll get 2 more mpg. Haha.
Yeah no doubt. I asked the owner if he's ever calculated the mileage with the current setup and his answer was "I don't wanna know" haha
@@CanadianGearhead I gladly sacrifice mpg for reliability.
F150 or Silverado may get 22-25+ mpg, but you’ll spend a few thousand every few years in repairs.
That truck is the holy grail. The new ones are toys compared to that tank
I haven't driven a new one yet but I'm really curious to know how they compare
I'd take this 5.7L V8 any day over the "modern" stuff, and twice on Sundays.
I love my 2016 TRD PRO Tundra my only complaint is the seats ARE THE WORST I have ever sat in. My back is done after an hour of driving.
Get a set of seat jackers. It makes a big difference with the seat comfort!
@@mikelaughlin270 I did, made zero difference ha
I could definitely see that being possible, there isn't a whole lot of support
First
Bro, shut up. I'm waiting for these tags to come down a lil more with the new models out!
Oops
It's a nice looking truck but my 23 Nissan Titan Pro-4x beats any Tundra!!
