So good. Neil was not only an amazing drummer but what a talented writer/poet he was, so intellectual and heart felt. We miss him very much. There never will be another RUSH.
@@CmonstoleCmonstole I can see your POV about them, I can see that they weren’t the greatest band, but that’s just my opinion. They definitely were the best. No three man band has ever put out that much sound. I had a young guitar playing friend listen to them once. He said how many people are in that band. He said it sounded like 12 guitars. Neil was the best drummer the world has ever seen.
@@defendingthefaith.7889 Yea indeed, he was the best drummer this world has ever seen, now that is both fact and opinion based unfortunately, but we can all say the Neil was the best drummer that ever existed. And I can respectfully say that that is true, because I am a drummer, and most of my growing camera from the teachings of Neil and his technique. I watched lots of documentaries and his lessons that are on DVD on how to play some of Rush’s greatest songs.
These three men have been in my life since i was twleve years old when i opened Caress of Steel for Christmas - 45 years and 29 shows later everytime I watch these videos and a flood of memmories come back and I cant help but smile, running through the SUBURBS with my friends, My infant son in the back seat playing airdrums to La Villa Strangiato, and the last show I went to see with that little boy at 21, after he gave me the tickets for Fathers Day, I grew up with Rush, and they helped me raise my son, Thanks guys, you made life a little more worth living. You can Exit Stage Left now, God Speed.
Having seen Rush live many times in two different countries, they still amaze me. Three men producing a solid wall of sound. God, I've loved this band since I was twelve years old. R.I.P. Professor... 💙☮️♥️
As a heavy metal guitarist that likes playing everything from Slayer, Slipknot to Sepultura I always make sure to make time to play these classic hard rock songs in the mix..I love RUSH!
So if you grew up with Rush as a youngster around the time TS came out, and if you appreciated them at ALL, you’ve heard Tom Sawyer about 56,000 times. On the radio... tapes... your collection moved over to CD... then downloads obviously... that these three can just walk out there and reproduce a pretty.dämn.good rendition approximating the studio version (thank you, Professor)... LIVE-at THAT-is actually astonishing. You know every note, every quarter rest, every key stroke and they just go out and frickin reproduce it on-demand. Any.Time.They.Choose. the way you always have known the song. It’s actually kind of amazing. Consummate musicians. Masters at their craft.
As I get older and the rock bands I grew up with get older or pass away, I’m like whose left? 😢I love all genres of music but there’s a lot of garbage out there today! A band that can sound good live as in the studio is so rare! NO ONE can do for us what Rush did! They took us “out of this world”
Geddy playing base while it lays on top of the keyboards he's also playing as well as working the pedals and singing really competes with Neils drumming and Alex's lightning guitar can not be beat. Then there's the meaning in every song! WOW.
It's hard to believe that I've been around to see Rush for over 40 years and now already time passed since their final concert. It took a while for me to get stuck in with Rush but the more I learned as a musician the more I loved them. We are so fortunate to have unlimited, instant access to their video library of performance. RIP NP.
Ever time I see a drum cover of someone playing a Rush tune I’m amazed people can copy it note for note. BUT none of those folks have anything close to Peart’s power...
This is how we handled an actual deadly pandemic....close nothing, encouraged people to NOT wear masks......and invite the Stones & ACDC plus our hometown superband to entertain a half million party. How we have fallen😒
For the shops, hotels and restaurants. Not many died that year. In Europe we had no sars. Think about it. Covid was a disaster. No one had to go outside. Result : to many died. And don't forget the fear. Even after 2 years. 😮
I can only think of 2 bands that where all members are master musicians playing to their equals. Led Zeppelin is one, the other being Rush. If there's another, please comment. (Think about it. The Beatles were fantastic, truly a great band, agreed. Could someone else play drums without suffering the band? Yep, and had. Same with The Who, right? NO ONE replaces Peart nor Bonham. Is there a better singer/bass player for Rush? Nope. Master musicians playing to their equals!)
I can imagine a Rush tribute act setting up in a pub somewhere but being perplexed at where to put the tumble dryers. 😊 Jokes aside! Rush are the best 3piece rock act ever! 🇨🇦❤️

Not only an amazing band, but super efficient too - doing their laundry during the show to save time...BRILLIANT!

As you can see here, Rush is best appreciated in small, intimate venues.
Except Rio lol
Rush is best appreciated when Rush is playing.
Lol
Ya that was a small concert! :) lol
HAHAHA no doubt
SARS concert Toronto , monster crowd. I was in that craziness, it was hot as fk that day.
Rush was a great band. Incredible musicianship. The total package.
Three friends having fun 🤩 and creating some of the finest rock music (no not just rock ! Some one the finest music) ever thank you rush ❤
Neil is a beast!!!
When my son was younger I took him to see RUSH twice , Alice Cooper , Robert Cray and Metallica ...I thought would be a GREAT START .
Rest assured: It was the best start !
Yep, that's a damn good start!
Wow !! 🙂👍 ...
Take him to see
KISS, BOC, Deep Purple too...

Size of that crowd is insane….pure artists and sound 3 can generate.
Stupid thats a fest
Rush and crew had the cleanest clothes on that tour.
They were doing the laundry while on stage lol
No matter how many times I hear TS I never tire of it.
Even on "Fluff", nothing came out of those dryers intact!🔥🔥🔥
So that was a Rush, AC/DC, rolling stones show? Holy crap!
Most talented band that will ever exist in the history of the world !!!! RIP Neil Peart !!
The best multi-tasking band ever, playing the best music AND Drying clothes at the same time, what a concept!
Don't forget the sausage grinding, too. It's an underappreciated endeavor.
I so wanted a tour where Geddy had a drier, a vending machine and a rotisserie chicken machine all in a row.

Several British bands put this very good band in the shade. In my opinion
Wish I could thumbs up more than 1 .. Rush rules
2021- the talent on that stage is mind blowing. Better today than ever before.
The SARS benefit concert: July 30, 2003. Geddy turned 50 the day before.

Neil.... suddenly you were gone. The best of the best
What a lovely crowd
Awesomeness

Underrated? Wtf. They were inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame and are revered as rock "gods" by most of their peers.

What a rush playing to that many fans.
I can remember seeing them in local bars when I was young. Before Peart was drumming with them.
