Fiber is one example: Most people (including myself) do very well on high-fiber diets but others don't and are better advised to go low-carb, as ketones can (to some extent) replace short-chain fatty acids. I acutally found that I do best on a low-carb diet with high fiber intake.

I normally eat brown rice, as I have always been lead to believe that white rice is the enemy and should be avoided if you want to lose weight. Is brown rice as effective?
