In the 90's their rehearsal room was right next door to my band's room at the studio... Talk about super cool 😎! When we were done with our set, I would always stay late to see if I could catch them playing down the hall... I was working hard on my music and then I got to listen to one of my old favorites live on the same night! I couldn't believe, of all the bands that could've had that room next door, that it would turn out to be them! It was a treat, and a dream come true every time I heard them in that room...!
You might like RKL,GISM,Warzone,Poison Arts,Gang Green,ANTiSEEN,Bad Brains, and Cro-Mags from around this period aswell if you haven't already heard all of the above. The standards for 80s Era Metallic HC I guess at least to me.
This was one of the albums i purchased on compact disc (along with FEAR,TSOL,etc) as the format was still kinda new way back in 1989. I have long lost that CD but listening to this 3 decades later I realize that this is a very well done live recording. I played at CBGBs before and the soundman could dub you a raw soundboard to cassette or VHS for cheap, but this record is done very nicely considering all the onstage slam dance ,stage diving antic i assume were happening at this show. Eventually saw AF open up for Cannibal Corpse and Obituary in Texas to a 90% death metal crowd. Agnostic Front were totally on fire and kinda blew away the headliners with a crystal clear sound and tons of energy.
I remember buying this on Cassette when it first came out! Best live show in my opinion they were all on that day! seen them 4 times over the older years.great N.Y.C. Hardcore.

My favorite AF album. Saw them live in 91. Roger is a nice guy, gave me a stack of AF stickers. Craig Setari was with them that night as well. Great bass player.
I have this on cassette the original tape! Back then tapes were cool because I had my Boombox blasting Hardcore in the Mid "80", s in the park I hung out in when I was a tennnager in Yes NJ.
I also had the tape. It sounded so cool and raw on tape or record. The CD sounds weak and I'm sure the new repress or remastered versions or whatever they call it can't top the original recording

New York Hardcore: Well not everything was so left wing in the old days, Cause for Alarm from Agnostic Front, Peter Steeles Carnivore, Billy Milanos M.O.D., early Biohazard, there were some controversial lyrics like Aren't you hungry from M.O.D. for example. I remember seeing M.O.D. with Skinhead Security on stage. I did see some of this bands in the 80s and I was a Skinhead then ;)
All your statement tells us Errol, is that you weren't there & you don't know. Go read the lyrics to Fascist Attitudes, and if you still think AF is rightwing, you're even dumber than you already appear.
Yes. According to some writings on the history of NYHC from 80-84 alot of sort of left wing bands like Heartattack, False Prophets, Reagan Youth, Kraut, No Thanks, and from 84 on the right wing skinhead scene took over along with Crossover thrash like Agnostic Front, Cromags, Warzone, Murphys Law, and Youth Defense League. Not saying these bands were racist they just had some right wing views. But actually from reading, AF and Cause for Alarm got along with both scenes. CFA touring with MDC and Roger's girlfriend at the time was Amy the singer for political crust left wing band Nausea
You wanna see the band or the bouncers? This shit is on Video the whole show - it's a boot but it's out there - if you were trading tapes in the 80's (you were not) you'd guillotine yourself.

My fave vocals by roger at this time period
It's one of the best things they ever did, shame they moved more commercial and away from that more metallic sound.

This album hits the spot today !
Wow. I was at this show. I saw them 5 or 6 times back in the late 80s. I thought this one was in 92. I'm shot. Lol.
This record captures what it was like to see and hear AF play live back in the day. What a scene back in the 80s through early 90s.
Reminds me of the hot summers in NYC when I used to go shopping for records at Bleecker Bob's records. :)
Great days indeed
Tower Records 😂
Still have this on vinyl. Saw them with Cro Mags, Suicidal Tendencies and Beowulf at Ruthy's Inn Berkeley. 1984 or so.
That's a great lineup
Goddamn that’s an amazing bill
Nice! I just scored a original copy for $20(a mint original vinyl copy goes for $100 these days) it’s a little beat up but plays fine 🤙🏻

That's honestly pretty funny.
my favorite as a rebellious teen! the energy they captured was so raw.
Was There!!! It was a Sunday Afternoon matinee'. Tickets were $6 Was surprised later when they made a live record of this show!!!
