The three re-records are absolute amazing. The real Sepultura, no doubt! But I got to say, I missed The abyss. Such a beautiful acoustic tune. I still play it in the acoustic to this day.
A modern sound to a classic album. Much respect to the Cavalera brothers for pulling this off along with releasing the first album and EP again. Arise was their last great album. '85-'91 is the classic Sepultura era.
Maybe you should have asked Andreas if he plays the solos and the hard parts, like the beginning of "to the wall". Sorry, but i like still the original. It would have been nicer if you had shaken hands and re-recorded the album together.
I heard this album for the first time on my first acid trip in high school, on halloween. 35 years later, i still blast this motherfucker in the machine shop all the time! I usually don't like re-recorded albums but this is awesome! They managed to keep the same raw, intense and schizophrenic vibe! Good job, i love it!
Tonally very faithful to the original recording, only now using better equipment, so the whole thing is clearer. :) Love it. Ps. Andreas has been on record to say From The Past Comes The Storms takes after Slayer's Chemical Warfare, but I hear a lot of Angel of Death in it as well.
Still kept the old school sound in the re-recordings. Sounds great. The bros reclaiming their band? Seps were never the same after Max left. Respectfully, this old style was always where it was at. Huge influence on people back then.
I like it but what happened to the Abyss! Is it a copyright thing? I know how to play it they should have brought me in to record it for them. Free of charge just put my name on the credits! Drums are recorded really good but clearly not the same kit; I miss that tin can mid tom sound!

Maybe the dumbest shït I'll read today, perhaps the whole year. Just show me what the Cavaleras did outside of Sepultura and I'll tell you who's the real boss there.
A few months late, but I finally bought this CD a few days ago. I'm not really a fan of remakes/rerecordings, but I've really enjoyed this! Everything sounds so fresh yet maintains the spirit of the original. "Abismo" is a dark instrumental that really fits the mood of the album. I've heard that the original 1987 track "The Abyss" was written by Andreas, and since there was bad blood they apparently didn't want to use his music for this, so they created their own version. The new song "Nightmares of Delirium" is an absolute banger. I noticed Max can still belt out those high screams that he started on Roots. This is a rerecording I approve of.
Last year's rerecordings were awesome! Totem and Unhealthy Mechanisms too, so thanks for being so freaking productive guys!! I just wish you came back to Quebec city or Montreal. Last show was a while ago!! Been a fan since 1993. Keep it coming!!
I think it’s more a case of not being lucrative enough for American bands to tour up here now cause our dollar’s value got destroyed by Trudeau’s decade of deficits
Mother FUCKING old schooll Sepultura vibes - this blew me the fuck away today - when you guys coming to southern california? When you do, I'm there homies.
Total best Sepultura - nice :-) Every band is mainly made by a singer and a drummer. That's why this is Sepultura. The current one isn't bad, but they don't have Max+Igor's ideas and Max's voice. I'm glad Cavalera are doing this because it continues Sepultura as it was. Andreas is a good guitarist, but Sepultura is made by the Cavalera's.

Happy Anniversary Schizophrenia album!
October 30.1987
I absolutely love the cavalera brothers era sepultura ❤🤘
also known as the metal era of sepultura (except roots)
I remember the first I saw something about sepultura was back on early 1991, when we used to put bands albums covert arts on our notebooks. I had a few from Iron Maiden and one of my classmates had the Schizophrenia cover and he let me see it, man I found it very creepy at that time but I didn't ask him for any Sepultura material.
It wasn't until mid 92 when another friend of mine let me borrow Morbid Vision lp, man I was blown away by Sepultura. It wasn't until late 1992 that I found Schizophrenia album on my favorite novelty store and purchased the cassette for 9 bucks.
It wasn't until last month that I found a re release version of it and it sounds even more brutal than the original album from 1987.
The cover album it just turned out even more disturbing and creepier than the original version. But I can't deny that it is a great album.
I was waiting for this. I love you guys. My dad listened to the old school sepultura in highschool and I got into Sepultura and Soulfly through him. This and morbid visions are probably my favourite albums.
FROM THE PAST COMES THE MONEY
I can die happy.
Inquisition Symphony rerecorded is 💯🤘🤘🤘
There are few albums that travel with you throughout your life that you hear something new every now and then at different phases of your life... but this album travelled with me for so long.. that every riff, lick and hook remained undiluted taking me back to the parts of my life that I cherish the most.... glad max and igor did this in my hour of need. Thank you Cavalera 🤘🙏
Its amazing to hear these so clean sounding. This was a favorite of mine growing up and they re-created it beautifully. Nice job Cavalera bros!
Saudações infernais do Brasil!
Pqp, os Cavalera fazendo a véiarada Headbanguer feliz nessa madrugada!!

I'm 259 years old and I like both, the original and the re-recording
I'm 259 months old and I agree.
Tenho 259 segundos e estou de acordo.
Respect for headbanging at such an old age!
O original é melhor. Esse 2024 tem um erro voz do Max tá baixa. A voz do Max é muito boa, timbre único, nao podia ser gravada baixa
I am 1029 years old and I hate both versions. Nothing beats the original caveman music with just sticks and rocks
I can't believe how good this sounds

@@coldacre Don't be that guy... 🙄
@@coldacre absolutely, miles ahead
It is mastered and compressed way to much. Only for the age of this album they should stay more old school mastering.
I heard this when I was 15 now I have 45😢. Now i can finally enjoy this album with a decent sound quality.
Back then, the Schizo-Beneath-Arise trilogy put to shame every thrash and death metal band out there (yes, even Slayer).
They were up there with Sodom in my opinion
You are not wrong. Those albums are part of the catalyst to transformation into a metal head for a whole generation.
YOU ARE A FUNNY GUY. SLAYER SHOW NO MERCY IS EPIC. MUCH BETTER THAN THIS ALBUM
@@waynekeer Show No Mercy is great but come on, Araya's vocals are way too goofy.
I agree even though I do appreciate Slayer as well... But Max is a better skilled frontman than Tom Araya period.

Absolutely do not touch “Beneath the Remains”, and “Arise”, they perfect the way they are. These first three are outstanding, but if you guys redo Beneath and Arise, they will lose its magic. I understand why you are doing this, I get it. But there just something special about those two albums that will be lost.
True
perfect!
They won’t. Max already has said that they weren’t happy with the way these first three were recorded but were with Beneath and the rest that came after

Amazing, shame that “The Abyss” didn’t get a proper re-recorded version though
Mmm no, in Spotify is appear with the name "Abismo" check out
That was odd huh. Maybe it has something to do with it being solely composed by andreas? Maybe there was some sort of legal pushback on that one in particular. But I was really looking forward to hearing the leas guy pull that one off.
Noone but Andreas Kisser could play it... No Kisser - no Scizophrenia!
@@weareu8035 yeah, so far his leads are pulled off very well. But the abyss is really signature to him. Probably why they didn't touch it.
@@weareu8035whatever
The three re-records are absolute amazing. The real Sepultura, no doubt! But I got to say, I missed The abyss. Such a beautiful acoustic tune. I still play it in the acoustic to this day.

A modern sound to a classic album. Much respect to the Cavalera brothers for pulling this off along with releasing the first album and EP again. Arise was their last great album. '85-'91 is the classic Sepultura era.
Beg to differ. Chaos AD was way ahead of its time..
@@swaneelkalsi7402 Yes, but it was also the beginning of the end of the original thrash/death sound.
No it wasn't. While a decent album they completely changed their sound and drove away a lot of the old school fsns.
Chaos AD was the beginning of the demise of Sepultura. the last album i've bought, but don't listen anymore since many years.
you can definitely feel this brothers still have the ANGER !!!!
Maybe you should have asked Andreas if he plays the solos and the hard parts, like the beginning of "to the wall".
Sorry, but i like still the original. It would have been nicer if you had shaken hands and re-recorded the album together.
OG Brazilian Thrash! All Hail!
HELL YEAH, MAN! 🤘🎶
From The Past Comes The Storms on acid sounds truly evil
Fuck ya, crank that shit!! Make those ears bleed.
That guitar tone on the opening track sounds EXACTLY like Dead Embryonic Cells!!! Just faster!!!🤘🏻😆
Tonally very faithful to the original recording, only now using better equipment, so the whole thing is clearer. :)
Love it.
Esse álbum é um clássico indiscutível e agora renovado. Muito brutal. Sudações aos Irmãos Cavalera
I like it but what happened to the Abyss! Is it a copyright thing? I know how to play it they should have brought me in to record it for them. Free of charge just put my name on the credits!
Drums are recorded really good but clearly not the same kit; I miss that tin can mid tom sound!

Max and Andreas together wrote the best Sepultura songs ever in my opinion. It was a real tragedy in 1996.
Agree a million percent!
@@fninenine2492 let's work with evidences: December 1996 Gloria's fired by IGOR, Andreas and Paulo. Max, even though he didn't like it decision, he could have stayed after take a vacation after all it was at the end of that year already.
But NO, he took it personal and Gloria was spending a good part of Sepultura's money without giving any satisfaction to the other three members during that Whole ROOTS tour and this is ridiculous!
Well now I know which album I'll be playing on repeat for the rest of the year.
A mi gusto uno de los mejores discos de Sepultura, hermoso disco, este es el real Sepultura, Scape to the void lo máximo, son unos capos los Cavalera, saludos desde Lima - Perú al metal old school

My Top 10 favorite Metal-album all time!👍Great JOB!
It is probably easy for most Sep' fans to just press play and enjoy but for me it was difficult to decide if to listen or leave because for me schizophrenia is the Benchmark of Death/Trash metal and the best sepultura album bar none..everything i have loved about this album could have been destroyed with 1 left click of my mouse button over the Play triangle..what a fantastic Re-recording this is and Inquisition Symphony works with the take on more modern sound also

Max and Igor and the whole band by the way they sound/play and look are killing it! Don't change nothing! You have come full circle well proud of you as i have been a major fan since the early years. This is the best you have been in decades! 👍👌
No Cavaleras - No Sepultura
Maybe the dumbest shït I'll read today, perhaps the whole year.
Just show me what the Cavaleras did outside of Sepultura and I'll tell you who's the real boss there.
@shadowhaze9666 Show me a Sepultura after Roots that literally anyone cares about 😂 poser
Yeah they haven’t been up to Quebec or Ontario for so long, hopefully there’s no travel issue for them here
I think it’s more a case of not being lucrative enough for American bands to tour up here now cause our dollar’s value got destroyed by Trudeau’s decade of deficits
Mother FUCKING old schooll Sepultura vibes - this blew me the fuck away today - when you guys coming to southern california? When you do, I'm there homies.
Excelente ... voy 30 años escuchándo Sepultura ... éxitos
Excelente trabalho, vou comprar um cd como maneira de insentivar, os caras merecem... Pois fizeram muito pelo Metal.
THEY ARE THE REASON WE STARTED OUR BAND
Total best Sepultura - nice :-)
Every band is mainly made by a singer and a drummer. That's why this is Sepultura. The current one isn't bad, but they don't have Max+Igor's ideas and Max's voice. I'm glad Cavalera are doing this because it continues Sepultura as it was. Andreas is a good guitarist, but Sepultura is made by the Cavalera's.
Well, that's a bit diminishing on the influence Kisser had on the composition since Schizophrenia. He added a special thing
Это лучшее событие за последние годы!!!! Привет из России
Hearing the re-recording of this album by the Cavaleras is something Thrash fans dream of but never imagined would actually happen.. just WOW man! One of the best
