*It's the little things in life we have to look for to find joy and comfort in our everyday life.* I've recently got a new shower gel. It smells so summery and makes me feel like I'm on a holiday in a beautiful tropical place🍍🍋 This may sound absolutely crazy, but I have to say this week I've been a bit more excited to get out of bed because I cannot wait to use that shower gel. What a beautiful video, Jamila x
You are absolutely right! My sister got me a perfume that smells soo summery Everyday I clean my place, take a shower, do my skin care routine and spray some of it on me and this simple routine makes me soo happy everyday!
my mom lights incense cones every morning and sometimes in the evening, for cleansing and purification. my favorite is loban, lilly, rose and sandalwood.
Your voice is almost an alternative healing method itself! 💕 Quick tip for those who consider using essential oils: please make sure you only use 100% organic essential oils (it should be there on the label - '100% pure' is not enough!) Thank you for sharing, Jamila! 🍀
As an Iranian, I am quite familiar with the herb you mentioned at the end! In Persian, we call it Esfand. My mum burns Esfand in our home every now and then, it will always be a favourite smell of mine. I love the look of the smoke as it twirls around too. I believe in English it is from the Garden Rue plant!
For those who are wondering about uzerlik, the local herb that Jamila mentions here, it appears to have the scientific name Peganum harmala and you can look it up on Wikipedia under that name. The plant has other common names as well in other countries.
Mrs. Musayeva, I first tuned in to one of your videos about a month ago and I must say that it has been nothing short of revolutionary and life changing. I am a critical care nurse in a very busy county hospital with background experience in emergency care and trauma. I am embarrassed to admit that I lacked etiquette particularly in meal times and even in conversational tone. Given the time constraints of the profession it is a luxury to have a couple minutes to spare and eat something. However, there should never be an excuse to lack manners and adhere to social norms which can empower and even add credibility to our demeanor. Every day I take some time out of my day to watch a video and feel like I have gained another pearl of wisdom. I have made small adjustments in my eating etiquette, tone of voice inflections, posture, nail care, and wardrobe choices and have observed a notable change in the way I am perceived. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Hi, I really like your videos about etiquette. I would really appreciate a video about clothing to a different occasions. A lot of love from Czech Republic 🇨🇿.
Your way talking and your beauty make me feel so relaxed. I have never seen personality like you and it is impossible to find person like you. By watching your videos I feel motivated. And the topic of Aromatherapy is very interesting, it is very different. And you explained very well. Nice.
You are miraculous ! I have recently started diffusing oils and I have exactly every oils and same incense you have presented. You are exactly who I have been searching for as my guide to healthier life. Your persona is exquisite. I now have prescribed to your channel. The aura around you spells beautiful . Thanks for your advice.
It is so true about their medicinal benefits. One day I was walking around town on my day off and I had a pretty bad headache. I went in to the little health food store on that block and I could immediately smell an essential oil being diffused....I'm pretty sure it was lavender or a mix ...by the time I walked out my headache was completely gone...I felt so good!
You need to speak to Audible about creating an audio version of your books! I would love to hear them read aloud in your voice. I would like to see a video on how to maintain the right amount of possessions, and knowing when to say goodbye to possessions that are tired or no longer necessary. This is something I struggle with, perhaps I am too sentimental to say goodbye.
Thank you for these videos. The information in them is really useful. I appreciate that you included the importance of using carrier oils. I cannot emphasize this enough. Part of elegance is understanding in which way to utilize your tools and in moderation. I know of a case where an individual had been using tea tree oil as a pesticide, undiluted, and was rushed to the hospital. At high concentrations it can be very toxic. This was an accident due to a lack of knowledge. Further, I personally stopped using essential oils because I found out they were not so healthy for my pets. I want to make sure that my environment is comfortable for all members of the household. This is my case. If I didn’t have pets, I would still use them. I highly encourage everyone to do their research for what oils are suitable for different needs and how to use them safely. Peace and love.
@@MariaMaria-sb2ihit is the flower of the Rue Plant....let it dry then pick it up...I saw this video maybe one year ago and from then I use the Rue bulbs as an incense and as i love this herb is so so amazing
Mrs Musayeva, the plant you present is Peganum harmala also called 'Syrian rue'. For centuries is been used for medical or "aromatic" purposes. It is bellieved in many medditeranean countries that burning sticks and seeds of dried plant protect against evil eye and spirits. It is also a plant mentioned in many ancient scripts like Omiros "Odyssey"..sandalwood, palo santo, murrhy, Nardos, bwoellia carteri, oud... are some of aromatic and "sacred" (for many religions) plants. Thank you! Wonderful video for aromatotherapy.
I really admire your channel, thank you for doing it! Apart from the content, I found motivating hearing how well you sound in English, though it’s not your first (not even second language). My first language is Russian and, coming to Canada at the age of 19 and leaving here for 11 years, I am still super conscious and aware of my pronunciation and other language limits. Thank you for setting a good example! Definitely it motivates me to come back to my pronunciation exercises again. I have one idea for a future video: how not to lose our etiquette skills while we are spending so much time in isolation during the pandemic (or also on the maternity leaves in my case)? I found that during my maternity leave (and then pandemic) I spend most of my time with the child that I became tooo comfortable. I started losing manners like I can sit on a couch comfortably but unattractively, I can mindlessly scratch myself wherever it’s itching, generally doing things I wouldn’t normally do in front of other people. And now I’m worried that some of those habits became part of me and next time I’m actually in front of people (hopefully, lockdowns are not around for much longer), I’ll involuntary act and present myself like a cave person. Just as as a thought. Thanks again! P.S.: my parents lived in Baku for a few years, unfortunately, before I was born. But they have very fond memories of those days!
I adore lavender. It's one of my favourite scents! It is definitely calming. I've used it on my babies' feet to help them sleep better at night when they were that age (teens now!). I use it to calm myself. I use it to focus. I've used it on burns. It's lovely. For cleansing auras, etc., we use sage here, wrapped in string, which we then use to "smudge" the air, clearing it of bad energy. All you need is some sage and an abalone shell and you're set! It also smells lovely. (I live in Idaho, USA for reference to using sage). I personally also like neroli, and there's a mixture that is popular here called "On Guard", which is a blend designed to help clean the air from viruses and bacteria. It smells so good, and it does seem to keep us a little healthier.
Eucalyptus and Tea Trea is native to my country Australia 🇦🇺🦘 Everywhere smells like those two. We even have Tea Tree lakes! You swim in the lakes and it smells so strongly of Tea Tea and very healthy for you

Hi Jamila. been watching your videos for a while and learned lots of things that make me like me more. It's true that Australian essential oils are very powerful for their antiseptic (tea tree) and decongestive (eucalyptus) properties. Growing up in Australia my mother used eucalyptus whenever I was sick and teatree whenever I had a primple or a cut. I still use them like this to this day. My mum also used a similar deep heat alcohol rub called "Goanna Oil" for sore muscles and period cramps. Please be aware though that the strong Australian essential oils (especially Eucalyptus) can by very toxic to our beautiful pets. The way you use the candle is fine, but a misting diffuser that sprays the diluted oil around the room and onto our pets can make them very sick, particularly little cats when used in a high oil to water ratio (anything over 3÷ in most cases I believe). Orange oil is another toxic oil to cats unfortunately. Their bodies cannot filter out these concentrated plant extracts and some of these plants are naturally toxic to them... then take an concentrated form of those plants... leads to illness. I have taken this information from a vet know as "The Essential Oil Vet" in America-- Dr. Janet Roark by the way. If anyone is interested in safely using essential oils with pets look her up on Facebook or TH-cam :)

Hi Jamila. been watching your videos for a while and learned lots of things that make me like me more. I think there are some topics though that you would be the most proper teacher in them. we need to be taught more about ways to communicate with people, not only verbally but also through subtle actions and reactions. like when someone says something that slightly bothers you, whether it's a stranger or a classmate or your sibling, you need to react to each one a different way, and the reactions should not be labeled as right or wrong, but rather with more specific words like kind, smart, ladylike or any ways of expressing ourselves, and not just snapping at them and probably make things tenser.
we're all in a condition that all we need is being comfortable and at peace with each other and most of the bad feelings we go through are because of those subtle actions that might be only because that person just didn't know how to handle the situation with good responses. or sometimes it's not such a big deal but we just don't know how to say what we mean. as an example, every time after I finished some chores in the kitchen and just wanted to make sure nothing is left to be done by me and go to study, I'd ask my mom "is it all finished?" and of course a mom would say yes, because that question signals that I just wanna go, even though I really wanted to finish anything I should've done. so I came up with an alternative, "now what's next?".
