Mercedes M119 V8 Fuel Pressure Regulator Replacement

  • I replace the fuel pressure regulator in my M119 to try and alleviate an intermittent long cranking issue. At the recording of this video the part is only around $30, and is a good part to proactively replace before getting to more costly items! This is a very straightforward repair and can take 15mins or less with the right tools (and if you don't drop the snap ring into the abyss like I did).

    Can you install a aftermarket FPR on these cars for boost purposes?

    What kind of issues were you having before replacing the fpr? I’ve got a vid on my channel and I’m having trouble hunting down the cause of the misfire

      My car was having a long crank on warm starts, but this wasn't my issue. It ended up being the fuel pump. But I do know symptoms can be long cranking, or sometimes no start at all if the regulator is leaking into the vacuum line
