I used to use a shield buffer huginn with a nirvana pod for c3 ratting, wasn't particularly fast or isk efficient when factoriing the implants, but i already had them. Main advantage of ratting with recons is that you can't be seen on dscan, so ratting is significantly safer.
energy turrets have very small falloff, the tooltip here is confusingly adding the optimal to the falloff, you only see them separated these days on the actual show info panel for the guns. The nonsense you can do with THIS ship is a ~100k buffer tank with polarized weapons, it's a pvp monster that gets slept on.

You can drop the drones and replace them with webbing or target painting drones for better application. You could also carry Navy multispectrum crystals.
@captainbenzie For frigs you should use multifrequecy crystals tracking is like 50% better than conflag. I also swapped to power relays better cap for armor tanks. (now fully cap stable with max skills) Added standard ammo so if you forget to check and stuff burnes out you have the unlimited lower dps ammo to fall back on. On my drone boat ships if I have room I stick a small remote armor repairer on so I can repair damaged drones in the field; I wonder if that might be a nice addition here since there are high slots free in the pasted fit (I'd probably add the repairer on along with a salvager).
Trying bringing 1-3 armor and hull repping drones of you have room, and install a remote shield repper. Recall and send out spares if they've taken too much damage, then repair once out of combat.
I'm watching this series to see what I can use to clear gas & mining sites. The Drake does it fairly well, but my WH chars aren't skilled into it. One of them is skilling into Hybrids for the VNI fit, I'd like to see what else I can get into, though.😁

It's fun to see how the "Navy" version of a ship can handle something that its 'normal' counterpart can't.

I would love to see a Scythe Fleet Issue video. I enjoyed using it for everything from abyssal deadspace, to combat sites, to wormholes. Never was able to get it to C3, but would be interested in seeing how it handles in the hands of a more skilled pilot. Thanks for the video!
Benzie will tell you himself he’s not a very skilled pilot. He’s a very passionate pilot. If he can do it you can do it which is good cuz it makes his videos catered towards everyone! Get out and play with stuff yourself and when you find what works send it to him and see if he’ll do a video for you on it. The DPS is low. It might take a long time to finish the sites. But it's interesting to see how many ships are able to finish C3 sites for solo players.
Navy augs with polarized guns are crazy, since energized layered membranes, the ship armor HP bonus, and amulet implants apparently don't have stacking penalties... I was able to get a max of about 69 *thousand* armor HP.
I think i made a stabber fit ( yes...T1 stabber, not fleet issue ) which could technically run c3 sites It was basically a LSB + cap battery + AB and hardner It was super cheap....i never actually took it out tho i think it should run the sites....i will hit u up on discord later on if i find that fit again
Are you playing solo? If you're solo mining Veldspar in a Venture, that's a low risk, low reward activity. If you enjoy mining, then joining a corp (especially one based in Wormholes or Nullsec) can earn you significantly more. As for this specific video, if you're ratting C3 anomalies, you can make 100m an hour easily. Yes, it requires investment, it's not a Day One activity, but once you start, the money is easy to earn.
I know far too much about lasers and what they can do to ever call them "flashlights". Pushing interstellar arks to significant percentages of lightspeed and casually frying whole planets explains Amarrian fascination with them. =) But of course to each their own. =)

C4 is really hard to solo effectively since the spawns are so far away from each other. As such, to run C4s players just make fleets of C3 ships. For a C5 ship, it's simply not worth the cost dropping to a C4.
My favorite Pvp ship at the moment, inhave it brick tanked and sits at 180k ehp. Dps is.not that crazy, but i can typically outlast my Foe... unless he has neuts.... lol.. then im dead
Unfortunately, as was pointed out in another recent video, I don't think the Ishtar will be able to. The VNI gets bonuses to Hybrids, so they work very well. That causes the ship itself to be enough of a threat to pull aggro off the drones. The Ishtar only has drone bonuses, which means drone damage amps are better for the highs. Drones get eaten by Sleepers, so you're defanged early. The only thing I could see working in an Ishatr is non-bonused Hybrids, which might not even do enough damage to pull agro. Range could also be an issue. Maybe implants could be used for either / both? I don't know.

Sorry, but your calculations for the range are way off in this video. You seem to mistaken the total Tooltip falloff rating as the base falloff. The Tooltip includes the optimum and the falloff and your skills, it simply does the math for the player for all weapon types and skill levels to show you the 50% hit chance threshold. The Heavy Pulse Laser II base falloff is 5000m. I asume you have Trajectory Analysis 5, wich will give you 6250m of falloff. So with Conflagration at 14km you are already down to 50% hit chance. Similary with Scorch at 28km. And most times you dont hit as hard, so your average dps will be down more. You dont hit the frigs because you are out of range, not nessescarly because of tracking. But you should use scorch for tracking reasons anyway, if the frigs orbit or have a high transverse speed.

As an alpha clone with only T1 modules fit, you can easily clear 50k+ ehp with little effort and few skills. It is so very very hard to kill.

only downside to ewar drones for ratting is they take even more aggro than combat drones

T2 crystals reduce tracking. Using navy multifrequency would be more effective against frigates

It CAN, but the C3 Relic/Data sites are basically C4 combat sites. Risky, and take a while.
