Command ships are amazing. I love our duo/small gang setup with some corp mates using the slep. It's got some insane tank, decent dps, super links, it's great
The Eos is actually a pretty underrated command ship IMO. It's the only command ship you can reasonably run the Quad boost setup with two command rigs since it uses drones.

Hey Cpt, is there a good way to guage the difficulty of a site vs your ship? Im a mid-level beginner, and i really struggle with this. If im roaming around in J space and run into a gas site i want to clear, or i want to pick up a L3 agent mission - how do i determine what level of ship and bling i would roughly need to run it?

The Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery gives a little bit more cap than the Thukker version. I only ever use Thukker when I don't have the necessary powergrid. Thukker does have 1% more energy warfare resistance, but I prefer the extra cap of the Republic Fleet version.
I always put web drones on so I can web the frigates so my guns can track them better. With a pretty tanky setup you can still see like 1200 DPS inside the magnetar. Insane!
I know it doesn't fit into this particular theme, but have you done a video on the Fleet Cyclone yet? I really like that ship, and I'd really love to see it in action in wormholing. Without doing the math, it looks like its bonuses (probably?) bring it down to cruiser sized sig radius, and you can still fit just under 500 dps in heavy missiles + drones (over 700 with HAMs), a comparable tank to the passive Arby fit you uploaded (love that), AND a 100mn afterburner so she can HAUL it when you build up to full speed. Oh, and the command burst either makes you even speedier, or even tankier. It may need some adjustments to apply to the frigates, so that and the SPEED might mean regular heavies are mandatory to swap between range/damage and close-ranged application. Regardless, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
As a side note, I just took mine in to do a ruins of enclave cohort 27 as well as a perimeter hangar, and they went beautifully! The only problem I had was when I didn't pilot well AND I accidentally triggered another wave with a battleship still on grid, but they, too, all fell to the fury of the cyclone.@@captainbenzie
I always love your videos they are good and informative. I will say I always never cared about Tech 2 ships in eve for a few reasons. 1. Skill time to fly them dear god the bigger you go the months just adds up. 2. The price for them is often 2-5 times more and when you lose it the insurance cover the amount you get for the dang T1 version. 3. It´s just the T1 version slapped with better stats and bloody camo skin. T2 just feels like your flying the same ship but with more punch but it feels lazy just copy paste Hurricane slap camo and call it a day. T3 versions of destroyers and cruiser is hands down the best. They are not stupidly over price and they look nothing like their t1 or t2 counterpart. It feels like more love and taught went in to them.
I really have to disagree on a lot of what you've said purely based on these series. Check out the HACs, for example. Yes, more expensive but absolutely can do things the T1s and NIs cannot.
@@captainbenzie Yeah and I fully agree with you on that. I mean look at Marauder what power houses they are. Making level 4 missions a cake walk. My biggest gripes are. First the design is lazy as I said copy paste of T1 with camo on them. Then I paid 1.8Bill for my Vagur then when I lost it I got 80mill back on the insurance making me question why do we even have insurance? Like at least give me back 500mill if I lose a 2bill ship. And also People love to Gank Marauders in Hig sec more than they would gank a T1 Battleship. Plus the time it takes to skill in to a Maraduer makes me say why even bother with them. But yeah my biggest issue is the lazy design of T2´s hence why I love T3 much more like as you said your self in a video how much you like the Svipul for it´s awesome design.
@@ZeroWalker26 Marauders print ISK more efficiently than any other ship on the PVE side. They're also the top choice of Sniper ships for Incusrion fleets. T2 ships aren't junk by any means either. A T2 Diemos will wreck a T1 Thorax as well as the T2 Cerberus will whack a T1 Caracal. Typically the training required to get into a T2 ship is for it's inate bonuses which tend to be pretty cool....It just seems you're completely blinded by reality due to the loss of a Vargur (which if you lost that easily, shouldn't have been in it in the first place imo).
@@v1nc3nt_v3ga Yes kind of true. BUt Marauder will make no isk if they are ganked which is mostly likely what will happen sense is an expensive ship which makes it a juicy target. A t2 demois may rip a T1 ship but not if there are 20 t1 ships. People never ever fly alone 1v1 in eve is something that rarely happens it´s always 1 vs at least 5. Im not blinded at all over a loss of an useless ship that cost more than it´s worth that ships is high risk ship. I played eve for 16 years and 8 years solo people are not magically nice nor will they have fair fights and if they want to kill you they will does not matter what precaution you take.
@@ZeroWalker26 my Golem is super bling fit and has never been ganked, I've had it since they released so it's been a incredible investment for years and years. Using your example, what happens in the engagement of 20 Tech 1 ships if they encounter 20 Tech 2 variants? So, I stand by my original assessment that you're bitter and angry over losing a Vargur as your arguments are that "It's a useless ship" and gank bait. Along with the T2 are worthless in general. So, if flying welfare fits is what gets you going in EVE, keep on having fun your way man!
Mate, you're flying a half a billion ship and you're using a T2 shield booster. Use a Gist X-type large and a Gistum B-type multi. Also, you don't need two tracking enhancers. Swap one for a Gyro. At 30km plus range, you're going to be using barrage anyway. Use the rig slot for a cap rig. You'll be cap stable.
I'm not sure I agree with the concept of "It's expensive so make it more expensive" - T2 gets the job done, so why bling it more? It's under zero threat from tank. I did lose a tracking enhancer during testing but the tracking suffered against Frigates.
@@captainbenzie I understand the reluctance to overbling, especially in wormholes, but I also see that one makes 40 mill a pop with those sites, so losing one isn't going to send you back to highsec in a rifter. Also, if it comes to fight when you get dropped on, a blingy booster might well save the day.
It's cheaper and can be used as a force multiplier. It's also a bit more relaxed to fly in the harder sites and can do C4. That said, I love the Loki too.
not a single good/powerful proper corp is based in jita unless its some hardcore jspace corp that doesnt go to kspace/do kspace activity at all, jita is overall a terrible place and wouldnt suggest living there
Is there a different fit you'd recommend for helping a friend (let's face it, an alt) to run C4s with this? Would the other ship need a different fit, too? I've had great luck & fun with your Drake fit. I can't remember if I've tweaked it or it's bog standard.
I mean, it boosts itself too, and is great for ratting fleets, which I talk about a lot in this video... And in a wormhole, you don't want to be sitting on shit tonnes of different ships, so having the ability to use "your favourite ship" is a good thing Most importantly, people want to fly what they want to fly. I'd rather show people what they can do in the ships that they want to fly rather than just get them to fly the same old bullshit til they get bored
@@captainbenzie Ultimately, PvE is going to become boring no matter what you fly. You know what the incoming damage will be every time, if you overtank, you'll live. It's just a means to grind isk to enjoy the real fun in the game, fighting other players. Like you, I spent the first couple of years grinding NPC's, but I realised the end game isn't PvE. It's going out in a well fit ship to fight other players, sometimes outnumbered, and also solo, and successfully killing and surviving. After 17 years in the game, that's where the fun is. Popping NPC's to buy more ships to pop NPC's is really just limiting yourself and the potential fun you can have in Eve.
