    Hey - just came across this - nice content. Just a small note on the capacitor stability. Your fit has a thukker large cap battery which gives 27% neut resistance. Practically speaking, that means in that oruze wave, you are actually taking 73% of 24 Gj/s (17.52), which means that you are fully cap stable under that neut pressure in that fit with your skills. - I know you did mention the resistance but worth noting that you are fully stable in that fit under all of the waves

    Thanks for the content you're producing! I've recently got back into EVE after a couple of years and find your vids to be of great value, helping me to remember what I've forgotten as well as to learn new stuff I didn't know before.
    Also, used your referral link so hopefully it'll help you in some way too.
    Cheers \o/

    Thank you, you actually help me in choosing between this one and the Moa. Its my first time with minmatar ships (was a pure caldari and amarr) from my old EVE account. I am now following your channel for these nice EVE content. BTW, can you recommend me a good PVE fit for a T1 Stabber.

      For the T1 Stabber, basically look to fit similarly to the SFI here. Glad you're enjoying an excellent ship!

      The rusty stabber has 6 highs with 4 gun and 2 missile slots so if you struggle for cap you could use a missile slot or 2 for nos. Most of my stabber fits are for 0.0 kitchen sink fleets so I have rapid light missiles in both slots.
      I'll probably try a rusty stabber in C1 & C2 sites to get used to J space before moving up the ladder.

    Great fit and vid Benjie. Let me though report a couple of items I think are not right in case you find it helpful. (1) RoF gives more dps increase than a damage bonus when both at the same %. Well established for about 19 years now in EvE. Difference is such that (from memory take with a pinch of salt) 7,5% rof increase is equal to apporx 10% damage increase for DPS. (2) The difference between Thukker and Republic fleet in neut resistance is 27 vs 28 %. In a fit like yours i would maybe go for the Republic but that's a miniscule difference. (3) [form your Loki vid] Yes a/c Loki will apply a lot better. Even to the extent that it may actually do more DPS at the end of the day to smaller stuff. But the dps before application factoring is not equal. you should take into account you will be udually using a/cs in fall off somewhere between 50-70% of nominal dps most of the time (and apply near perfect at that range indeed). Please keep on the good vids and wish you push through rought patches like a breeze :)

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True about ROF/Damage, but it's not as huge as folks make out.
      Essentially, 10% damage = 10% dps
      10% ROF = 11.1% dps
      Also, with ACs, due to Falloff being a curve, I often find I'm sitting around 90%, which with better application means I'm still doing more. Again, its one of those "Missiles are easier, turrets reward manual piloting" and I just prefer that playstyle :D

    Depleted uranium & titanium sabot ammo both have a 20% bonus to tracking and no range penalty so they do less total DPS but it would be worth carrying one type incase you need it for frigates. It's also worth remembering you can pilot to mitigate damage by maximising traversal you can also do the reverse. Click the button to view the frigate you are struggling to hit and try to match his course and speed and you should get some better hits he will try to evade you so you will need to keep making lots of course corrections. Be aware you might take some big hits from his friends too.

    You didn't factor in the 28% neut resistance from the cap battery. With perfect skills, this fit can take up to 32 GJ/s neutralization running all modules without capping out. I don't think the ingame fitting tool shows this, PyFa shows it as "effective excessive gain" when hovering over the cap diff.

    I know this is months late, but in case you dont know already-cap batteries actually reduce neut/nos effectiveness against you I think 15-17% or so.
    So a 24gj/s neut in an oruze is actually closer to just 20gj effective and still baaarely stable with 22gj/s cap.

    The RoF increase is actually much more powerful than the straight damage. It might help if you think about it with a 50% increase in RoF vs Damage. 50% damage will have you doing 50% more damage, or 150% dps. 50% RoF increase will have you firing twice as fast doing 100% more damage, or 200% dps. The difference becomes more notable at higher increases.

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not true, is it? +50% ROF is 150% DPS.
      Edit: Ah okay, but it's not huge:
      10% more damage means 10% more DPS.
      10% more ROF means 1/(1-0.1)=11.11% more DPS.

    Why autocannons? You're spending time getting near enough while getting hit by the enemies, you're in range of their neuts and webs and you mostly, apart from this SFI, have tracking issues.
    Why not go for artillery: you don't have to get so near, in fact yu better keep your range, you're out of range of their neuts and webs and maybe even their weapons.
    Oh, and that talk about the transversal velocity is only right, when you're moving in a straight line past your target. If you orbit it, you have no transversal verlocity to the target at all showing it always the same side with the turrets only having to move extremely little!
    And as most of Eve Online is orbiting stuff and you have that 50 % tracking vonus on your SFI, I'd strongly recommend using artillery turrets to just "blap" your targets away before they even realize what hit them!
    And with some webifier drones, your transversal velocity gets even better!

    • @captainbenzie
      @captainbenzie  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Even with the tracking bonus, Artillery struggles to hit small, fast ships that get close. Sleepers are FAST. They close the gap too quickly, get under your guns, and can't be hit.
      You're also wrong about traversal being essentially zero when orbiting. It's not. That's simply a matter of perception. The actual mechanics of how the turrets work means that tracking still comes into play. The only situation where orbiting would cause traversal to be ~0rad/sec is if both ships were at the same velocity, orbiting at the same range, and on the same axial plane. This almost never happens. In short, it LOOKS like your ship is constantly turning to keep the target abeam, but graphics will lie to you in EVE (your ship is actually a singular point in space, with a fancy 3d model laid over it).
      The calculations are done using ω=vt/d (vt being relative traversal velocity, d being distance to target) and this is before accounting for signature radius. Due to formatting, I can't post the full turret mechanics calculation here in TH-cam comments, but you can look it up by googling EVE Turret Mechanics and finding the section on Hit Math.
      Yes, an Artillery SFI is a great ship, I love Artillery, I love the SFI, however, it is not functional in C3 ratting. It may work at other tiers or in other sectors of space, but not in J-Space 😊

  • @MrEasyCheasy
    @MrEasyCheasy ปีที่แล้ว

    The lack of implant comments is likely because of rigging skills. Some rigs drawbacks are to increase the cpu/power of specific modules and you need the relevant rigging skill at 3/4 to make it work. Took me a while to figure that out so probbaly knowledge you should try and disseminate to newbros.
