I am painting a road bike ( bicycle ) frame in 1k rattle cans but have some 2k paint, in pot, lest over from my old custom car project. If I am just mixing the paint with hardner an thinner to flick with brush/stick do I still need to use pro respirator or will it be okay with lesser one due to paint/chemicals not being atomised !!?
I am no expert, but I would not have thought of using a pro respirator unless you're spraying stuff you can inhale. I guess it is always better to be safe than sorry, but I would not have thought of wearing a respirator at all if I am just flicking paint on. Good luck with the project!
Why not just sand the original oem frame paint and skip priming all together the original paint on a ktm is a urethane 2 part paint to begin with, you don't even need to put clear over the base color coat
Thanks for the info! I couldn't find all the Rustoleum paints here in SA and I never know which Rustoleum one is the best. Any specific one you can recommend?

How many cans did you use? im going to repaint a subframe and maybe a frame during winter and want to know just a ballpark of how many you used.
Hi, I used only one can of primer and one can of base. That was enough for two full coats. Good luck!
