Hey Jerry, I love your technique with feathering the paint on the tubing. It’s so satisfying to get full coverage without runs 👍🏼 Have a great weekend 😊
No runs is great for sure. Nothing is more of a bummer than coming back out to the garage to admire your work and finding runs - not cool 🥴 You have a good weekend too my friend ✌
Great video. I always hand off my frames to the powder coater and get back a finished product. Since I now have a paint set up I may consider this in the future. But it's always gratifying doing the work yourself. Very time consuming to get in all the nooks and crannies prepping, priming, and painting. Frame looks beautiful. Your friend is lucky to have you as a friend.
Not only sand any rough spots but then have blasted and powder coated. A green frame would mean a Kx of 1990-2002 or some Kdx but the point is a lot of nice flat surfaces there.
It’s good to see paint work being done in a shop/garage type environment, and not a $$$$$$$ paint booth! BUT I would do something different on hanging my substrate to keep it from spinning, lol no way I would get good coverage on frame. Heck just watching got me dizzy. 😮😂
Very nice cycle to the paint work, I've never done a motor cycle frame, I've painted tanks, farings and mudguards all right, I estimate you had about 8 hours of labour in it.
It's a friends dirt bike. I love dirt bikes myself - I gotta get one some day - we live right by some of the best dirt bike trails in Michigan. Nice to hear from you PSG - have a good weekend :)
I didn't - figuring if the guy who was building needed to he could sand them out a bit. If the thickness of the paint interferes, then yes plug the holes first :)
Great prep work Jerry. It’s always the key to a great paint job 👍🏾
Thanks for the support SWC - have a good weekend my friend :)
Came out great ! Lots of prep work with all the angles and corners to get in.
Thanks RG - it was sort of a pain but I liked spraying that color - very cool color for sure :)

Nice job Jerry!! That looked like a real pain in the balls to prep!!☻
You're right - gotta have tough fingers to scuff all those nooks and crannies - have a good weekend :)

Nice Job !! What do charge for a job like that ?
That was a freebie for a friend. Not sure what a body shop would charge - probably not cheap these days :)
Nice job as always Jerry ! Is that your son's bike ??

Should have said very nice finish to the paint work!!
Thanks Edmond - appreciate your positive comments :)
Can you do a video on painting a car with rustoleum?
I might be able to do that one day - sure :)
Did you not have to plug any holes or tape over any areas like where the swing arm goes
I didn't - figuring if the guy who was building needed to he could sand them out a bit. If the thickness of the paint interferes, then yes plug the holes first :)
