    I would buy it again.
    Nice greetings from Germany.

I have a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage manual transmission with 107000 miles, its been very reliable, I get better than 50 miles a gallon, and yes it has the original battery. If half the households in this country owned one, gas consumption would drop along with the price we pay at the pump. Dramatically!

Thanks for Your honest video Johnny,I recently purchased a 2024 mirage G4 and really like the car alot.I drive 100 miles to and from work and the car is getting 52 to 55 miles per gallon.I service the mirage myself with 5w20 synthetic oil and 8 Oz of Marvel Mystery Oil.I also add 8oz in the gas 1 time every month. The mirage is a awesome little car.

I have a 2018 Mirage with almost 60k miles and it drives like a charm. I put Royal Purple synthetic oil and also put some injector cleaner every 3k miles. Love it. Good video!

Mine just turned 10 years and still working great. Just replaced the brakepads tires, clutch cable and other usual cheap wear and tear parts. As long as it's maintained, you ain't gonna worry so much

I've always had great luck with Mitsubishi products. Maybe not as refined as Toyota's (which I've also owned and had no issues with) but every bit as well built.

Keep up the great videos Johnny. You always keep it 💯. Thanks for the honest review of the Mirages. They seem like nice reliable economy cars. Sad to see your Geo rusting. Have you tried fluid film on it? Miss my 94 Metro!

@JohnnyMullet oh no kidding? I thought the Fluid Film was supposed to be awesome for the underbody. I mean I know people don't spray it on the body but, would it help spraying on the inner fenders to slow the rust?

@JohnnyMullet ahh shoot man. That damn salt just ruins the cars here in the rust belt. I live in Wisconsin so I feel your pain. I suppose all you can do is just keep up on washing them and hope for the best.

hello Johnny, thanks for the video and your post. I am very poor, no real income, no jobs for people my age here in Panama, anyhow I currently have had a 1998 Chevrolet cavalier 2.2 and the car has been nothing but problems on and off since 2012 when I bought it, it has had 3 overhauls in the past 6 years by no good mechanics here, so bad I have had to learned how to repair it myself. anyways someone dear to me wants to help me buy another car but with a budget of 5 to 6 thousand there arent many good choices here, cars are very expensive. i need a reliable and economical vehicle since we live very far from town, on the cavalier it cost me 8 to 10 dollars to go and come back, I cant afford that. I found a 2015 mitsubichi mirage G4 one owner who worked in mitsubishoi bought the car for his wife, done all the maintenance on the car, it looks like brand new. I have researched online and almost everyone says the cars is crap this and that, too slow no power etc and I am hesitant, but now I'm seeing it is not all that true, there are others who say its a good car. thanks for doing this video. God Bless

Great post thank you for advocating for these awesome cars. I have a 2023 G4. I often shift from drive to Drive Sport to get a faster launch or acceleration. Also if I'm at 20 miles per hour to get to 40 mph faster I may shift from drive to drive sport . I think drive sport also just makes the ride funnier. Is this the right way to use Drive sport? I don't want to strain the engine?
    Thanks

I only use sport mode to slow down when coming down a hill and that's about it.

@@czaz00 that makes sense because of road salts and such will cling to the car and cause nasty rust, at least in canada.
I do a yearly oil spray right before the cold starts creeping in, in july as well that helps a lot.

Change cvt fluid and filter every 30k and it will go over 200k no problems. 78hp may seem like a drag but it will never tax the belt in one of these even if you rag on it all the time.

  • @DocTime56
    @DocTime56 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

It’s a pretty simple car, even the CVT looks like doesn’t fail that much (at 78HP it doesn’t get stressed).
I have a 2015 and my main problem with it, is that the tiny tin car has an automatic transmission, I’d really prefer a manual.
