    Started watching your videos a few days ago. You have outrageous chops on the guitar. Thanks for posting these.

    No better authority on advanced music theory than this. Beautiful lady, love her sense of humor. Her compositional skills and Musicality are Sublime. feel like she's filling the void left by Holdsworth.❤

      There are tons of people with great chops everywhere. However, everything they write sounds like a musical. Example from a book has no heart, no soul, no imagination. I think it's on your shoulders to create any good fusion music. Or anything else you desire. it might be happening right now. You have the goods and the compositional skills, we can't wait ! So thankful for you Tory. 💓

    I’m slightly embarrassed that I’ve commented so much. But damn, I love this. I just watched pt.1 & 2 back to back so I’m still trying to digest it all. Thank you. You come across so authentic and humble. I think I’ll stop gushing now.

    Damn! Theory Blast-Off, outline for multiple jazz faces on lateral feels, breakouts, chromaticism, But the best are triad & vehicle resolutions, tempo tips! Valuable ear training “discovery” and improv implementation! Options Baby! 300bpm? Crazee!

    *note: once this gets over a certain number of views / likes I'll do the next instructional (which will cover traditional "chord soloing").

    Whoa.. that shakti example was wild. Loved that evh blues clapton emphasis too. You're influences are so strong in your playing yet you've taken it to this other level, playing from the heart. Real artistry.

      Eventually, yes 😊. I've been focusing mostly on just music, and really avoiding the tapping technique Channel type thing, at least until it gets a bit bigger...

    Goes to show yu its not the high end instrument that matters . Squire is all the way good enuff for this genius ..leo fender and tory slusher = genius

    • @TorySlusher
      @TorySlusher  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, first off thanks, not sure about the genius thing but, thanks anyway... Secondly, I mean at the end of the day any guitar is basically going to be wood and metal and magnets... Naturally, it would be thought that the higher quality component would produce a higher quality instrument and I'm sure it does, but I still think that it's possible to find one out of the many that has a *certain quality* to it. By the same token, I've played higher in telecasters that I thought were not nearly as playable or sounding is nice as some of the ones in the 6 and $700 range...

    hi Tory, I've just recently discovered your stuff and I am totally amazed by, not only your playing obviously, but your very accessible way of explaining stuff. Also totally inspired by the way you look at things and how you keep an open mind towards all genres. ANYTHING, can be JAZZ 😎Thank you, thank you, thank you ! Keep doing what you do, because it's absolutely appreciated, maybe even life changing for a lot of beginnners struggling with jazz and improv.

    New subs here! Hope to see your uploads more!

    I'm looking for a guitar with a very sensitive and responsive neck where just touching the string cleanly sounds the note for legato purposes. I play an ES 175, and for this application it totally kills my left hand
