i am digging how it starts with those simple symetrical chording, then takes off, the whole thing is very listenable, it sounds like more than 1 guitar for sure , awesome tune love it
I have been preoccupied the last couple days and missed this until now. What can I say? Another awe inspiring piece. Love those beginning chords and the flourish at 2:14 and the run at 4:35 are so good. Bravo!👍
Very good young Jedi master! I love the mashup of all the styles as a big conglomerate into one. Baroque, Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Blues. If you do decide to add a band later I would do this. From the beginning all the way up to 1:25, I wouldn't add a band, everything else after. Actually, you could turn this into at least couple of tracks. Have 1st track play up to 1:25 with no band and make that your prologue. At 7:11 to 7:32, make that your intro into next track and then go back at 1:26 and play everything out with band and make that epilogue. This really captures my ears attention in a good way. It's got a good hook, groove, flow to it.
Niiiice, nice flare to those licks which inspire cuz I like hearing originals since they influence my own guitar pieces I do for my channel so liking your passion and melodic sound!
So amazing Tory. I'm sure this request is way beneath whrre you're at but I wonder if you could offer some beginner guidance to your playing techniques. If I could learn just some of your approaches and play a minute fraction, a millions times slower I'd still be happy! Especially love the bass lines with the other four strings doing other things. In the meantime I'll listen on... Love the solo..long time Pat Methany fan so this just lights me up. Thank you
Initially it reminded me of early Wayne Kranz a bit, (but different, more melodic). And then, like the tune wasn't amazing enough, you accompany your own solo.
Awesome Tory. Really liked the two camera shots. Did you get a camera for Christmas?? I knew a guy named Al Dente who lived in Toronto years ago. I wonder if it is the same guy. Merry Christmas and Happy new year you talented player you. I hope 2025 is as awesome for you as you deserve.
Tori, Have you ever had tendonitis issues with the right hand playing in that bent wrist position when tapping with all fingers? I have tried it on occasion because I am intrigued by the possibilities, but it seems to cause some problems eventually. I play keyboards also a bit and would like to use all fingers on the fretboard. Great playing as always.
What can I say that's not already been said ? I wonder if you have a life outside your massive time spent on research, practice and hard work involved in your magnificent presentations.
You really should listen to this in a car...
1. "In motion or parked?" 2. "Or while eating pasta cooked just right."
Tory, I've been a professional studio musician for over forty years, Yet...every time I listen to your playing I learn something, new.
Thnx, I spend a lot of time critical thinking about these things
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing the band version, too.
Not only al dente, but plenty of sauce as well 👏👏👏👏
Really great song, sounds wonderful. Thanks
Im speechless when I listened your phases
Your imagination is on 'autoplay' and you come up with new and interesting chords that always leave me with a warm & fuzzy feeling.

Love those crunchy notes; nothing flaccid like the overcooked lines of mere mortal guitar players! ❤
just great songwriting. i'd like to hear this in full band mode and in a variety of genres. wonderful and very original chord progressions.
Soo good. It has it all. Naturalness, complexity, intention. I really like it.

A beautiful point of light between Christmas and Hogmanay. Thank you.

Great composition and performance. Really enjoyed it!
Tory, I discovered your music early this year. This song shows how you keep growing as a musician. Your music is inspiring.
Thanks, but I wrote this tune over 12 years ago.....
lovely.

Aptly named as you're a firm favourite musician of mine.
This is Perfecto Al Dente I guess it depends on the chef.

Music, folded 'til it's all corners.
Your playing is on fire like an inferno!
Get it, Dente's Inferno? 😅

Only due to trying to shred too fast for too long... The bent position is not as bad as it used to be....
@@TorySlusher Cool. Can you really shred too fast though......?🤘
When _her_ Mother told her to go play outside, this happens.
