Almost every Water starter can function with STAB Water, STAB Secondary type, and Ice and/or Dark coverage. Quaquaval - Aqua Step - Close Combat - Ice Spinner - Swords Dance/Aqua Jet Water starters are always reliable, in almost all generations.
As someone who’s spent a ridiculous amount of time analyzing this, this is one of the better teams I’ve seen suggested. Nice job on your explanations for your choices, and kudos for showing the team recap at the end. Some creators don’t do that and I don’t understand why
Thank you for the kind comment! I think some creators leave out the recap so people watch the entire video, but I like to leave it in because more veteran players might not need the long explanations.
@@augustosancristobal2946 haha I honestly expected more comments about the memes! I also like Pidgeots design much more, it’s a shame it doesn’t get drill peck
Hey just found your channel, and I love your choices for these teams. Gen 3 is my favorite, and I like how you worked around the physical special split for movesets
A better alternative to gengar would be kadabra, he will level up faster and is stronger than Mr. Mime. When I ever play Pokémon games to beat the games as fast as possible I catch an abra because kadabra over levels very fast and is super strong and fast. I would set the kadabra like this Nature: modest Ability: synchronize Held Item: twisted spoon Move set: Psychic, Calm Mind, Psybeam, and Future Sight This is how I set up my kadabras hope it will help.
Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Alakazam, Nidoking and Machamp …. Disclosure, Alakazam can learn electric moves, which helps being truly well rounded team
@@OaksLab848 well I’ve liked and subscribed so I’ll be eagerly waiting for the notification to drop 😊 No rush though dude, these videos have been fun to watch
@@Lemonsqueezr cut is a really bad battle move. I usually teach it to a boxed Pokémon and only take it out when I need it. Paras in mt moon can learn it or meowth
This one is tricky since the Gengar line is the only ghost type in the game. Haunter isn’t as good, but still hits hard and shares all the immunities Gengar has if you’d like to use it. If not, any psychic type can be good to at least fill the same role offensively
And the strongest electric threats in the game are magneton in Cerulean Cave. Teaching Blastoise brick break instead of rain dance will handle that and fend off Lorelei better.

What’s your favourite team out of interest?
Picked up Leafgreen a few days ago after not playing pokemon for 20 years, I really like this clear and well explained video! Thumbs up !
Blastoise, Mr. Mime, Clefable, Dragonite, Nidoking, and Electabuzz are my favorite 6 to play with in fire red!
I like this team a lot! Very unique
Thank you
YOU ARE SO UNDERRATED you just earned a new subscriber ❤
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed
No problem ( i personally like pedgiot better than fearow) still great video keep up the great work man loved the meme especially the deoxis one
@@augustosancristobal2946 haha I honestly expected more comments about the memes! I also like Pidgeots design much more, it’s a shame it doesn’t get drill peck
A small correction, but in Gen3 type-boosting items (charcoal, mystic water, etc) only boost attacks by 10%. It was changed to 20% in gen4
Darn, you’re right. Thanks for the info!
Hey just found your channel, and I love your choices for these teams. Gen 3 is my favorite, and I like how you worked around the physical special split for movesets

how do i get a gengar on emulator? i’ve been trying
Oh wow, been looking for a team that was close to mine
Blastoise
Nidoking
Alakazam
Gangar
Snorlax
Dragonite
4/6 dragonite isuseless and also either gengar or alakazam is useless when there is the other.bad team.

Not sure about this but kadabra is a good sub. Gengar has immunity that kadabra doesn’t have
Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Alakazam, Nidoking and Machamp …. Disclosure, Alakazam can learn electric moves, which helps being truly well rounded team
Nice vid bro but can you plz make a best team of sinnoh game Pokemon diamond, pearl and platinum infernape edition 🔥
I do plan on making videos for the Sinnoh games. I’ll do infernape first
Thank you so much Man❤
I am already subscribed to your channel 🎉
infernape, buizel, staraptor, garchomp and any two of roserade, lucario, and shinx
im rocking with exeggutor, raichu, blastoise, nidoking, moltres, and marowak
What’s a good move set for Dragonair/Dragonite?
What's the full held item and trait for the team?
Starmie, Nidoking, Dragonite and sometimes Ninetales were always my picks aside of starters. Nidoking and Starmie were always there.
Will you be making a video for Feraligatr? I’m interested to see a team for my favourite Johto starter
@@ariesstorm9577 I intend on making a video for every starter! This one has been requested a couple of times so I’ll likely do this sooner than later
@@OaksLab848 well I’ve liked and subscribed so I’ll be eagerly waiting for the notification to drop 😊
No rush though dude, these videos have been fun to watch
Quick question can i substitute body slam for strength cause my raichu could already paralyze
Yes definitely! If you want more power, I’d consider Return as well. All are good options
@@OaksLab848 ok thanks i can’t get enough of this amazing vid
why use rest on snorlax when u can easily just use like a hyper potion or a full restore
all of those Pokémon are my top favorite lol
Blastoise Dragonite Hypno Arcanine Muk Nidoking
In my opinion I would switch fearow asap for dodrio
@@Daxtor.0 definitely do! Dodrio is much better
Recommended item to put on this Nidoking? 🔥
If you’re playing Leaf green thief a soft sand off of sandshrew. If firered maybe try to find the hard stone to boost your rock slides
Who would you teach cut to?
@@Lemonsqueezr cut is a really bad battle move. I usually teach it to a boxed Pokémon and only take it out when I need it. Paras in mt moon can learn it or meowth
My team is blastoise, politoad, scizor, crobat, tauros, and jolteon!
How can I get the hypnosis for Gengar?
The Gastly in Lavender tower should already know that move when you catch them
Blastiose Pidegot Victreebel Flareon Nidoking Machamp
I could use an alternative to Gengar I have no trading capability on rom
This one is tricky since the Gengar line is the only ghost type in the game. Haunter isn’t as good, but still hits hard and shares all the immunities Gengar has if you’d like to use it. If not, any psychic type can be good to at least fill the same role offensively
What rom do you use? You can trade on MyBoy
Venusaur
Raichu
Golem
Dotrio
Vaporeon
Jynx
I used raichu
I love sandslash if I don't use nidoking
I love sandslash, I wish it got better moves
Can somebody rate my pick please? :D
1. Blastoise
2. MrMime
3. Gengar
4. Jolteon
5. Hitmonlee
6. Dragonite
Love it! My only complaint is that Gengar and MrMime are probably running nearly identical movesets
Thank you for not slapping a zapdos on the team !
Venusaur vaporeon arcanine Alakazam Snorlax Dragonite
dragonite is hot garbage, useless starter, rest are ok.
Game corners is bad. Abuse the amulet coin and I had 400k
Bite should be changed to Earthquake for coverage against Electric types for Blastoise
Also, Clefable was surprisingly good, it has a wide movepool, so you can use it in exchange of Snorlax
I like this idea but if I taught EQ to Blastoise I wouldn’t be able to use the tm on Nidoking. In these games tms are single use
And eq is physical attack
Bite has to stay on the moveset. Dark moves are rare, and if you get the flinch that 60 turns to 120 allowing you to use it again.
And the strongest electric threats in the game are magneton in Cerulean Cave. Teaching Blastoise brick break instead of rain dance will handle that and fend off Lorelei better.
I like using Blastoise, Gengar, Alakazam, Machamp, Arcanine, and nidoking
Cloyster, Farfetched, Golem, Alakazam, Eggzecutor, Magneton
Definitely one of the most unique teams I’ve seen. Very cool
@@OaksLab848 Thank you.
