Bench time! Congrats on your first deadcat, (no meow?)toothpick quad! These premade quads are sweet! Make sure you fly that thing without the camera! You need a Insta360!
It's a fantastic quad. It brings me back to my TBS Discovery adventures, when hobbyists weren't all criminals and the community were much more united

That is the best description I've heard of Covid to date. Human malware. Awesome. I spent some time really looking over what I was interested in a quad. Things have advanced so quickly. Can't wait to fly it.
Andre' great timing with this. Just received a Diatone Roma f4 in the mail, very similar unit to yours. Really like the idea of these sub - 250 quads that fly like much bigger ones. Had a GepRC Cinepro prior to this that flew okay but got wet and shorted out the FC (watch landing in snow ). I will follow your progress with this one. BTW, bought the DJI version so will not add a 4k camera and just use the DJI so will be able to use a bit bigger battery for longer flight times. Take care during lock down!

Yep, this class makes it almost hard to go out and buy a DJI HD Combo on its own, when for a little more you get a whole quad. When I pick up a set of DJI Goggles I totally will jump to a HD ship.
Hey Andre. I have this quad. Got it back in September. Analog version like yours. I have about 30 flights on mine and have had no problems. Frsky xm+ receiver and a Taranis. Fat Shark V3 goggles (about 2-1/2 years old) still waiting to see where things go before I jump into digital. You won’t be impressing Mr Steele, but it rolls and loops okay....just need to be more intentional. I think you will like this one. Thank you for the video. Mike

I see it more as a drive around and explore thing. Still should be fun.
Hello from New Mexico, i just received my Flywoo Explorer LR 4 V2 frame kit and assembled it, i plan on using the matek H743 mini flight controller and the Flywoo Dave-C-FPV 1404 v2 2750kv motors but I am having a hard time deciding on the esc, i need a 20by20mm M2 mounting 32 bit esc, I'm going to be running Arducopter firmware. Do you have any recommendations
I’ve said my piece on the UART limitations of the F411, but like you said, on analog, using SoftSerial for SmartAudio isn’t a super big deal, so you’ll be OK. For anyone looking at the DJI version, *definitely* get the version with the F722 FC.

Yeah this one is the gate way device. When I go digital I can either upgrade with HD video and swap out the stack or just get new BNF model. ;)
@ do a stack swap. Building quads is boring these days, they’re all the same, but these tiny guys are actually a challenge because the boards and pads are small, and they encourage a super clean build, and that was refreshing.

Both Scrappy Quad and 150 have new F4 flight controllers coming in. Just bringing them up-to-date without spending too much. I looked into 4-1 ESC as well but realized I'd have to extend all the motor to esc wires. Decided the FC was good enough.
@ no difference between a 4-in-1 and separates apart from some weight and the protection of having them in the stack and not on arms. If it’s flying well as is, leave it.
Hello, this is a little bit off topic, i want to start fpv so i want to buy, flywoo explorer. So far so good the thing is I can choose from 3 recivers and i have no idea what to choose . I have a flysky fs-i6 transmitter if this help somehow ... Thank you in advance!

You're best to order the PNP model and find a sbus receiver that is compatible with your transmitter.

13:32... I would change the Battery strap for one without the metal ring. I like the Bench Time stuff while you are locked down.
Yeah no kidding. Metal ring... NEAR THE VTX :) Lets just ditch that :)

Yep unless I smoke an esc it will remain as is.
Never catch you live. Oh well. I usually listen to you later on the podcast.
Aiming for a podcast on the 31st!

Wait, 18 minute flight times? Crazy!
Yeah a Naked Insta360 4K is on the 2021 wish list but very low. I have other goals. :)
On the right pack yes, but my rule is sub 250g all the time.
