I built one on a flywoo frame with caddx vista, if you get yourself a 4S Li-ion from flywoo, you can get over 30 min flight time. Mines goes about 12 minutes on 850mah 4s lipo as well. Most fun I have had in awhile.

This drone required almost no setup in betaflight since its a pre-built drone. The only thing I really needed to do was bind my controller with the receiver and make sure all the switches were set up correctly. Love the flight characteristics but mine came with a Caddx Ant (analog). No idea why they would ever make a LR drone with an analog video, can't even fly it 100ft away before signal is lost. Going to upgrade to O3 but annoyed and confused at why this configuration even exists. In my defense I thought it was a Caddx vista when purchasing 😢!
That’s the point, this drone is meant for long range cruising not freestyle. I’m sure if you used a LiPo instead of a Li-ion you would be able to do some freestyle.
Only reason I kept flying was because I knew it was just the trees in front of me getting in the way of the drone. A quick throttle up was able to regain signal easily.

Is there any way how to take pictures with GoPro mounted on this drone? Or is it just for video? I haven't built any PFV drone yet, I'm just curious, I'm still using my DJI Mavic Drone. Thanks
2,8V under load. 3,34V is almost half capacity. I think Troncat should calibrate his current meter, because 2600mAh is really not the true discharged capacity in 15 minutes. You can fing 37 minut flight with this flywoo Explorer and on 3s. ;)

If definitely felt odd flying for as long as I did since i'm so used to 5-6 minute FPV flights lol. I got another one of those batteries in the mail yesterday and am hoping to get over 20 minutes to do some mountain surfing 👍
@@umbrela_Corp the 9 year old Phantom 4 lineup still exists to fill a budget slot below the Mavic. Despite the updates 4 and 5 years ago there isn't much sign that they'll do anything beyond discontinuing it sometime in the future. You never know with them. If you have the money the Mavic 3 is smaller to store, lighter, longer range, all sorts of pluses. The Mavic Air and Mini models fill a lot of needs of people who didn't really need the Phantom platform to begin with. But once upon a time ago there were no other options.
I wudnt call it a dead platform though I still own and use p3 & p4 and even naza v2 and v1, the p3 is a beast for carrying a load and you can find them for couple hundred Australian dollars if you look hard enough and still works out cheaper then custom built frames lv
@@umbrela_Corp I could be wrong but I think the main reason to bother keeping it around is the brand recognition. Everybody imitated the Phantom at some point in time the shape is famous the name is famous. But as a consumer when the only thing they've done with it recently is slap a sensor pack on it to possibly drum up sales in niche market segments it makes me afraid to even touch it. I'm much more inclined to strap a custom payload to a $200 used Phantom 3.

Thats good to know about the 850mah lipo ive been wanting to try it out just to see how long I can fly. The 4s Li-Ion batteries are crazy good!

Yeah you had some battery left! the Li-Ion cells can safely be discharged below 3V!
I wonder if I can mount a bigger VTX on the bottom with a 20x20 mount.

Can you do freestyle with this drone? For the price it looks amazing but it seems on the slower side

this quad shouldn't need any betaflight since its pre-built. Default betaflight setup can be downloaded from Flywoo's site 👍

yup! You would need to do it with a naked GoPro though. I will be doing this in the coming weeks with this drone 👍

The punch out wasnt as bad as I thought it would be with the Li-Ion battery. deffinitely not as punchy as a lipo tho.
