There you go - I could tell right away that they are both real musicians just from the way they are miming with the track. Berklee college grads, makes total sense. Hope these people went on to have good careers, somebody mentioned Eva was their music teacher in the comments. Back in the 1980s, I auditioned for a dozen fans like this, trying to claw their way to the top of the exploding dance pop scene and be the next madonna or whatever, Village voice auditions, that’s how it was done back then! I guess I was 18 or 19, Drummer . Never got the big gig but sure did some crazy fun auditions…
I started watching this expecting to laugh at some idiots making fools of themselves on public access, but these guys weren't bad at all--actually surprisingly good. That name "Eggroll" was a mistake though. LOL
This ìs back when Prince and Michael Jackson ruled! Prince had a heavy influence not only on other musicians but also their wardrobe and stage Presence! Just look at big boy 😅 he's doing the Purple Rain dance
it only looks a little cheesy to some eyes because it's public access done on a low budget. I personally think the song is great, some real talent here
I see the two Corey's in white high top sneakers cruising up a California highway in a Mustang convertible going to find clothes to go to the big hip party that night! Ah cheesy 80s movies!
This was the second mix released of the song...and there actually wasn't a shorter cut of it (though the original mix did have an edit available on vinyl).
Eva used to be my singing teacher... She is awesome!
Is there any way to get a copy of this song? I will gladly pay for one!
I was this song!! Did this band do any other songs?
She's not even playing the guitar!......lmfao!
@@KB9QHN To the untrained eye....... 🧐
@@KB9QHNshe was miming it accurately - I’m a pro musician - I can tell, she could really play
16 year old me would’ve been vibing to this . Song is 🔥
this is WAY too legit to be on public access tv lol
Omg I lived in NYC back in 1977-1983. Public access was AWESOME because of cringe factor. I was 10-16 years old.
@DebraWelch what a time to be alive I'm sure!
I’m sensing some Jane Child/Pretty Poison vibes here, which is an immense compliment; love them gals
Actually a rather cool sounding song. I would definitely play this on tape in my 1987 buick somerset
i was thinking LeBaron but sure
The song is actually good, It's amazing what one can find on public access. IT'S USUALLY SO BAD IT'S COMICAL.
Nice Job Eva and Harold!
she looks just like Susie Green from curb your enthusiasm
The best part is when Cleveland Brown comes out playing the Keytar
Haha...And Harold's (the actual player) last name is Brown!
@@retrorhythms plot twist: harold never told anyone harold was his middle name, first name cleveland.
Well I've never had a seizure until tonight, but what I heard was smokin!
This is so 80's ❤️
The tones she gets through that guitar - wow!
Not me petting the algorithm. Gimme more of this ooooh
1987 the last good year for music n dancin’.
This tune isn’t bad. It’s definitely very 80s.

I FEEL the passion coming form this and its so INFECTUIOUS I was dancing to this tune I wish there was a more cleaner version of this song
This song is good! Your fairly common freestyle tune for 1987. The girl can sing too! I really enjoyed it.
My favorite part was when the dude spun around as she bent over to receive what appeared to be 5 seconds of back door action! I laughed out loud! 4:14
She has this sick beat and this never was made into a single? Some artists get overlooked.
There were two 12" singles released of the song; but it was on the group's own label, so had rather limited distribution.
You had me at Egg roll. WTF!!!!!
@@retrorhythms I got them both off Discogs recently and one was actually signed by both of them

He'll yeah
This video wouldn’t be complete without the cap and gown...they graduated to pure awesomeness. #Goals.

Easily could've been booked for Roxy Dance Club in the early 1980s NYC.
The intro is GOLD!!!
That bassline grooving
I'm impressed. Never saw someone play keyboard through a guitar before.
Cool song...cool chick!
They should tour with my band Ham Sandwich.
Hello Eva Sklar...a sweet performance, passionate & fun. It was so wonderful to meet another musician at "Not Tested On Animals"-ville.
Any relation to Leland?
That WAS solid and funky.
I wonder if they made anything else. I kinda like this
Cool.
THIS IS A SLAPPP
Great guitar work. Especially with no cable plugged in.
This is pretty awesome.
They ripping that shit 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Im truly sitting here wondering what i ever did to TH-cam for them to suggest this video to me!!
That was the jam 💃🎶🎵🎼
Wendy Melvoin & Tina Marie don't always create a funkspawn, but when they do...Eggroll
They sound good
Oh well to each his/her own. I Loved It!
👏👏👏
Love me sum egg rolls
This should’ve been a hit tbh
History of twerkin' at 4:18. Honor the twerk ancestors!
This AIGHT!!!!!
As good as anything else released in the 80's, no lie. Great upbeat music.
Is it weird that i'd buy this song?
That music @ the very beginning reminds me of EVERY 80'S porno!! That's what I was told anyway!!
Does anyone know where I can find their vh1 behind the music special?
Good actually sounds really good, jamming 80s tune.
this songs really is a bop, image if you gave her modern home studio equipment
She said egg roll? Woe this is great!
How did this not get huge?
It was released on their own label with very limited distribution. It is surprising that no prominent label picked up on it!
I came to read the comments but damn that keytar player stole my attention
They should be very proud, .....eeerm , there is a real nice tree on set there!!
This GenX baby approves!!!!
it only looks a little cheesy to some eyes because it's public access done on a low budget. I personally think the song is great, some real talent here
Check out the Valiant Vermin remix on her SoundCloud! It goes HAM!!
This beat slapped me harder than a red-headed stepchild
That guitar playing is off the hook!
Just a very catchy, riveting, kinda funky tune, imo:-)
Pretty good.
Vaporwave version when?
I just got Eggrolled
“How did you two meet?”
*pause*
*slight awkward glance*
“...I met her in a recording studio...”
👀
Im screaming lmao
Don't look back. She might come over here.
I need a a Craig Robinson and Kristin Wiig remake
wow
I love this! I want to know if they release any other songs?
They released a cassette EP a few years after this, and they also recorded in a slightly different vein (house music) as "So Smooth."
Eva is a very good friend of mine! Do you have other vids on her?
Just curious.
Wil
Sat iss fak shonn oooooh!
Why doesn’t the cohost get introduced ??
I see the two Corey's in white high top sneakers cruising up a California highway in a Mustang convertible going to find clothes to go to the big hip party that night! Ah cheesy 80s movies!
I want to know exactly how many seizures this video had induced.
This is honestly pretty good. I take it this is the 12" Club Version. Too bad it didn't get more exposure.
This was the second mix released of the song...and there actually wasn't a shorter cut of it (though the original mix did have an edit available on vinyl).
A yo dats rill ya'll baleedat forill doh yeeeeeeee boyeeee

Man rockin the SoulGlo. Sexual Chocolate! ::: Stomp:::
She's clearly inspired by Wendy from Wendy and Lisa. Those girls are still going strong. Eggroll... not so much.
the guitar isnt plugged in
It's battery-operated ;-)
retrorhythms Or solar maybe. There was a push in the 80's for that.
+Kaleb Button Powered by cocaine.
Kaleb Button neither is her invisible mic
Is there anymore of this show? I would love to see more.
4:17 lol
This is actually decent. I'm feelin' that Paula Abdul vibe here!
I wonder if she kicked off those flats and talked to the manager after that performance.
Where can I download this song???
Am I the only one who sees Josh Radnor in 80's get-up?
What's the song in the very beginning??
wtf this song is actually good, I thought it was gonna be something stupid
She reminds me of Wendy Melvoin a bit.
I agree!
I agree with you I was thinking the same thing
MOMMY IM SCARED.
Honestly at least as good as 75% of 80s synth music
Thats BooBearJenkins on keytar
The Grandma n Grandpa of twerk.
This fever dream has reasonably decent production values.
Lisa before she joined Prince
There were no gang related shootings at the concert. The audience behaved.
Feel like this video should come with an epilepsy trigger warning and some quaaludes.
Cleveland Brown and Kamala Harris were a thing?
