- Solid, funky pop-dance/R&B jam from 1987 by the duo of Eva Sklar and Harold Brown out of New Jersey. They're both alumni of Berklee College of Music, and went by the name of Eggroll during the late 80's and early 90's. This song was released on 12". Following the song is part of the interview. Eva and Harold wrote and produced this song.

Omg I lived in NYC back in 1977-1983. Public access was AWESOME because of cringe factor. I was 10-16 years old.

There you go - I could tell right away that they are both real musicians just from the way they are miming with the track. Berklee college grads, makes total sense. Hope these people went on to have good careers, somebody mentioned Eva was their music teacher in the comments.
Back in the 1980s, I auditioned for a dozen fans like this, trying to claw their way to the top of the exploding dance pop scene and be the next madonna or whatever, Village voice auditions, that’s how it was done back then! I guess I was 18 or 19, Drummer . Never got the big gig but sure did some crazy fun auditions…

This was the second mix released of the song...and there actually wasn't a shorter cut of it (though the original mix did have an edit available on vinyl).
