I've been playing guitar for 35 years and only once have I heard of a b - bender, but never knew what it was, so I just ignored it as some gimmick, but actually hearing it , I'm impressed, it really gives an innocent sadness too the tones, this just opened up a can of BRAND NEW GUITAR TONE for me. I'm a guitarist, I'm an engineer, I have a slew of guitars, so, I'm gonna be on the drawing board and take one of my guitars and make myself a b- bender. I'm excited.i have never in my life heard any so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this video.
Here's a great way to dig in and create some content for your channel! With a camera documenting your process from thoughts, design possibilities, engineering, and construction to musical output.... You'd have people following along. I'd say that all it takes is a bit of guts and desire to follow through. Good luck!
I guess I'm fortunate, if not outright spoiled; I've had the pleasure of knowing a really good guitar player in Nassau County NY since 1976, who has a Telecaster with a B-bender in it. About 6 years ago, I stepped into a place where he and his brother were playing acoustic (Martin) guitars. With my back to them, what a pleasing shock when I heard B-bender notes coming from one of the acoustics! Good luck on your engineering project. It's a very nice addition to a guitar, but the added weight of the B-bender apparatus is especially noticeable in an acoustic guitar.
The playing with the modified acoustic guitar is awesome!! Wow. I have never heard this in my life. And I am one of the older guys - I thought I have heard all:-) I am blown away and speechless.
I'm not a guitar player or do I play any instrument. Truly my biggest regret in my life.... not being involved in music in some capacity. I find it so cool to sit down with other creative people that can play these instruments well and just picking each other's heads on new ways to play in different sounds. What an awesome gift and talent to have. Awesome video ! Thank you
You say that like the opportunity has passed you. Start tomorrow. Sure, you're going to get discouraged at times, but anything worth doing makes us a bit nauseous at times. Every day I dig for the courage to carry forward against the punishing gravity of hopes and dreams versus reality. By the way, I have been playing guitar for going on 40 years. Even if you were an accomplished musician, you still wouldn't be satisfied. Humans aren't hardwired for satisfaction. Now where was I? Oh yeah, pancakes... maybe a quiche.
That was one of the best solo arrangements of Kashmir I've ever seen and heard. He should seek more acclaim for his work making it. Record it, or video it for himself to upload to his name.
I'm still gathering my jaw off of the floor. The work on the SG, and then just into outer space on that acoustic B bender. The man can jam! Some people get put off by great players... it's one in the morning and I want to wake the neighbours up!! That was super inspiring.
Those people that don't like to hear the words , guy was a great guitar player.or girl, are those freaking jealous types I've dealt with my whole life and all i eevt wanted to do was my best and inspire someone else maybe and if I noticed someone on the same level talent wise as myself I would get real pleased because I knew that I could finally challenge myself to the fullest and see just how good I actually was. Loved it and had nothing but respect and love for other "naturals"

no doubt Lennon would be blown away by In My Life as well
Jimmy page 😅?
Dude...your version of Kashmir around 13:00 is incredible. What a gift you have
Thank you for pointing that timestamp out. I bounced around the video a bit and would have prolly missed it.
isn't a weird tuning does he play it in standard?
It's just flat out nuts... killer at absolute worst. I wish I had 1/100 of that talent...OK, 1/1,000.
No no. This isnt his version of Kashmir. Marcin, a polish guitar prodigy blew the lid off of this here on youtube years ago. Look him up.
@@percyvolnar8010 Those are not exactly the same versions between the two men. But because he used that guitar you think he owns the song now.
No, that is the one thing it certainly is, his own version. That goes for both of them. I suspect what you meant to say is " it is a version of Marcin.s version" And maybe it is true, but we would need to ask him what inspired him, was it Marcin who inspired him, or was it the guitar, the original artist, or a combination of two or more of the three.
One of the finest guitarists I've heard in a long, long time!!!!
Dude, your version of “In My Life” and “Kashmir” were truly inspirational. I hope you post more tunes on acoustic guitar of this caliber.
This was absolutely a blast to watch and damn fun. Everyone plays great and Nathaniel is a legit artist. Cheers!
First of all I have never seen a B bender on an acoustic guitar, second, DAMN!! That guy is just amazing! Now I am off to search Nathaniel Murphy! How cool.
Same
Nathaniel; crushed it. He so generously & graciously shared his craft. So moved are those of us that Hear. We owe him and I personally am Grateful to the max
What an amazing guitarist this gentleman is. Incredible talent.
Thanks man
When Nathaniel is playing by am constantly smiling and sometimes cracking up at just the sheer absurdity of his brilliant statements.
I find it amazing how each person plays his interpretation of these guitars. Thanks gentlemen.
The best rendition of Led Zeppelin on acoustic guitar I have ever heard unbelievable. And you could hear the voice parts in there, too. That was so sweet.
Nathaniel, you have the ear, the touch and the sensibilities of a star. Your arrangements are a pure wonder! I hope you do an album of songs with your B-Bender enhanced arrangements.
That's about as close to "complete mastery" of the guitar as you will ever see. Been a huge fan of his since my jaw hit the floor when I first saw one of his posts on Instagram. What an immense talent!!
And he says "I've made a fool of myself" lol! So dude is humble and funny also! What a great representative of a musician.
You are absolutely spot on with that one!
See Alex Lifeson....
@@jamesbowen2105 absolutely! Great comment!HUGE fan and total respect for Lifeson not
only for his otherworldly talent and skill, but humility and respect for the art. Thanks for bringing him into the discussion. Well-deserved for sure!
WOW! The B-Bender sounds fantastic. What great playing (starts at 9:55.)
This guy needs a well produced instrumental album. I’d listen non stop for months.
It's called War for the Moment. Released in 2018. ✌🏼
@@bradgantt1818 thanks. Listening to it on TH-cam music now.
I wish I can watch David Gilmour picking up this guitar( the acoustic) and playing it. You guys are masters of the guitar I settle with what I hear from your playing. Thank you for showing what you guys can do with those guitars, especially, the acoustic. Just fantastic!
That is easily the most incredible guitarist I’ve ever heard and seen. No one beats him. Just amazing.
And what is mind boggling is that he can play any genre of music with so much virtuosity. You can check in instagram and have your mind blown. To me this guy is right there along with Guthrie Govan.
Thanks for having Nathaniel play here, Rhett!! I had never heard of him but his grasp of chords, melodies and groovy is just phenomenal...
And he's right: that amp is killer.
Watch out for this scammer just above this comment ☝😉

The Kashmir was so absolutely mind blowing, just beautiful.
I find it amazing that the guitar itself doesn't lose the intonation while being used with the "B bender". So cool to see on an acoustic.
This guy is a monster player, been noticing his arrangements and chord melody's for a while...🤘😎
I so agree with you!
I remember writing him off as just another dude, then listened to him again hours later and fell in love.
Def one of the best videos in a long time. What talent - what instruments! I never knew such a thing as an acoustic B-bender even existed. All players on this video are FINE.
Fellow Gainesvilleian!
@@mrz80 used to be - moved back to Orlando three years ago.
@@mikegilland I've still got a d/l'ed copy of your daughter playing "Only Jesus" at a conference from some years back. I hang onto it 'cause I went to high school with the guy playing drums. Small world :D
Truly excellent individual jam session, guys. I don't hear guys jammin Zeppelin much any more, and I love it.
Good luck!
@@125AXer - Very kind suggestion.❤️
I guess I'm fortunate, if not outright spoiled; I've had the pleasure of knowing a really good guitar player in Nassau County NY since 1976, who has a Telecaster with a B-bender in it. About 6 years ago, I stepped into a place where he and his brother were playing acoustic (Martin) guitars. With my back to them, what a pleasing shock when I heard B-bender notes coming from one of the acoustics! Good luck on your engineering project. It's a very nice addition to a guitar, but the added weight of the B-bender apparatus is especially noticeable in an acoustic guitar.
That dude is the MAN. Honest to God, what a player. Just makes my heart fly to see anyone that inspiringly talented.
Same thing here!
Amazing Kashmir cover. I like the tapping percussion he weaved into the mix. Great timing.
The playing with the modified acoustic guitar is awesome!! Wow. I have never heard this in my life. And I am one of the older guys - I thought I have heard all:-) I am blown away and speechless.
Wow. That was a gorgeous country rendition of "In My Life". So glad I was able to catch it. Thanks so much.
Never too late to start
If a 10 year old can master in 5 years you can do it after 30 or 40 . Just devote yourself to the instrument.
As a seasoned listener, you bring the energy and love to those who play.
That's one of best versions of Kashmir that I've ever heard. That guy is really something special.
That was one of the best solo arrangements of Kashmir I've ever seen and heard. He should seek more acclaim for his work making it. Record it, or video it for himself to upload to his name.
Seriously. Holy cow that was cool.
amazing
super!
He kinda does. He has a TH-cam channel. Been on Chicago Music Exchange a bit. 100% agreed though, man needs some traction!!
Don't wanna ruin the party but there's a guy named Marcin on here that's been doing this version since March 2021.
Wow is not even enough praise to express what a gift and talent this guy has 🎸
Thanks for the inspiration to just keep playing
Nathaniel is definitely a monster guitar player who just makes it look easy!
A magical moment, for sure....Thanks for sharing this.
I'm still gathering my jaw off of the floor. The work on the SG, and then just into outer space on that acoustic B bender. The man can jam! Some people get put off by great players... it's one in the morning and I want to wake the neighbours up!! That was super inspiring.
I feel EXACTLY the same! I suddenly just wanted to share this with everyone one I know RIGHT NOW! haha
Michael had that special sauce in his fingers that made that SG sing. And Nathaniel’s arrangement of Kashmire was quite amazing.
The Zep w/ the B-bender acoustic is SO freakin cool. Love it!
i watch this any and every time it shows up on my feed...what a wonderful way to spend a quarter hour just being amazed by beautiful instruments and inspired playing. Very joyful video.
Holy sh...! This guy is insane! His arrangements for guitar are incredible, full of creativity on an extremly high technical level! Does this guy have a youtube channel?? Watching him play is pure entertainment and so much fun to watch! And so is your whole video! Love it! Thanks a lot for sharing! Cheers DimiZ

You never realize how much space is in the opening solo to Since I've been Loving You until you hear it by itself. What a great song!
You gotta breath😊
Thank you guys…I love music so much…and it’s so good to see a group like this play such great sounds…keep strumming
Wow. To say Nathaniel stole the show is an understatement. Amazing rendition of Kashmir. Well done sir 👏🏼
Talk about chills, wow men. Each of you caused my hair to stand up with chillbumps. The Les Paul had an astoundingly GREAT sound. Thanks guys, I really enjoyed that pick session.
when I see clips I see so many talented musicians who are unknown and unheard of
I think that this, one specific and magnificent art, is one of the the greatest things that makes us worthwhile as beings. I've seen film, paint, sculpture, music, and dialogue that is like watching the Sistine Chapel built. Hopefully, we all get to live long enough to appreciate it all
I had chills while they were playing. I wish I could have experienced it live.
I could sit there and listen to guys jamming like that for hours. My Dad would have loved to be there listening to them.
Nathaniel is such an amazing player and the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. I’d love for him to tour!
I’m a complete caveman musically… but watching the absolute mastery of these gents on guitar brings a swell of emotion. So incredible! Thank you for sharing your gifts.

I’m not easily impressed but that was a dazzling display of talent. I love the sound of that b-bender

Two things to me stood out: The tones on that second Les Paul and the awesome "bbenderrendition of Kashmir", of course! 👍

That tilt tune guitar was so cool. I bet there's a lot of people who've never seen anything like it before. Great playing on all the guitars. I especially loved the rendition of Cashmere on the Tilt Tune Acoustic. That was epic. 🤘🤘
