I know this tragic story where 16 million mutants died and if it's not the Professor's sister behind this because both Gray and Prier had what looked like a psychic attack so Cassandra could be behind this to knock out telepaths before geneside started happened, but then I started thinking that we've just been introduced to one of those ancient evil gods of mischief that goes by the name of The Adversary, and that character loves chaos and despair and what's more despair than what happened in this episode. .. What really tugged at my heartstrings was when you look into Cabel's eyes and realize that it's his mother in front of him and that he couldn't save her.
I'm 46 years old, I've seen and read everything from Marvel and DC, and I can speak with sincerity, it was the best I've ever seen in my life, I saw the materialization of the comics in a work worthy of cinema. With 46 years of life, it made me cry.
Gambit is really true to form with the comics. He presents himself like a scoundrel, but the truth is that he's got tremendous heart and care for his teammates and friends and a real genuine love for Rogue. I loved how even when Rogue denies him, he doesn't resent her. He sees her pain, she's on her knees tearfully telling him why, but he doesn't lash out, and respectfully tells her 'we're just friends' to not hurt her, because you don't hurt the people you love. And the hope you hear in his voice, even while chaos is surrounding them, that he's happy to see she's survived the explosion, just WOW. It's just too bad Rogue realized her heart too late
Yup, Gambit's whole thing is having a remarkable amount of emotional maturity and a very self-sacrificing sort of heroism. It's part of why he was there for Laura Kinney/X-23/Wolverine when Logan wasn't being the best father figure as well. He's just a really good dude in a way not every superhero necessarily is.
Im gonna say that Rogue heart should be clear long ago, they shared a lot of moments in the original show, they just wanted to have drama in this and for that reason they spawned Magneto in the middle of them. But if you watch the old show and then this one, you would note there is no coherence in Rogues attitude this episode, she loves Gambit so deep that she would never even think on Magneto proposal.
What’s beautiful about this episode with Gambit too, is that he sacrificed himself with a broken heart not even knowing Rogue chose him. Heart…of an Ace. Still breaks me.

Scott isn't cheating. We don't know how long clone Gene has been there but we can assume for most certainly he proposed to her, married her has been emotionally mentally physically and intimately connected to her. She's his legal wife, and we most certainly know that conception in the entire pregnancy and the birth was her, she's the mother to his child and wife. We can also assume that she is the one he experienced Charles's death with. Just because OG Jean is here doesn't change what Clone Jean is or experienced. Again clone Gene is his wife mother to his child and for all we know been his partner for how many years. He's not cheating, he's having a conversation with his wife the person who has been his partner confidant for who knows how long.
I think I know exactly when Jean was swapped out it had to be when her and Scott redid their wedding and as they were about to go on the honeymoon they were jumped by sinister’s men who were working for apocalypse to kidnap psychics to reset time sinister had her for a little while before they came to rescue everyone

This was a great episode. It was a very insane, intense, and dark episode. The writers are killing it with these episodes. It is nice to see Nightcrawler again as well his bond with half-sister Rogue and Gambit. Talk about so many emotions. Gambit wants a relationship with Rogue but can't because of Rogue powers to not be able to touch. Cyclops dealing with giving up his son. The media is all in the X-Men business. Jean is not trusting her memories. Because she can't tell if it actually her or Madelyne Pryor. But wow, she actually kissed Wolverine. And man, her being pissed off a Scott for having a psychic connection with Madelyne Pryor. Rogue is caught in a love triangle with Gambit and Magneto. I'm happy that the show gave us a backstory into Rogue pasted relationship with Magneto before joining the X-Men. We get to see Cable as an adult. The Sentinel attacking the mutants of Genosha was insane with so many mutants getting killed. It seems that were the images Madelyne Pryor had seen when she used her powers to get into Henry Gyrich mind for information in episode 1. Man Magneto and Gambit sacrificed themselves to save the mutants as well. When Rogue was holding Gambit and she said sugar... I can't feel you line my thoughts was oh f*ck that line hurts bad. Great job to the voice actress of Rogue Lenore Zann did a fantastic job with that line. This may be the best episode so far. I can't wait for episode 6 next Wednesday. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing Beauty and the Beard.
"Hab keine angst" destroyed me. It was very probably what Erik's parents said before they were killed. Here he stands in those same shoes - with those same sad eyes. DESTROYED me.
Why are so many perceiving Scott as a cheater? I don't understand. Madelyn is his actual wife, he's been living with for probably years and she's the actual mother of his son. If anything, his position is morally impossible, a true dilemma. But he's not a cheater at all!!!
I don’t know if you caught this but when Cable said “No. Not again” that means he’s been trying to stop this at least more than once, but the Watcher is also there, meaning that its a nexus even and can’t be changed. not if you don’t know who the watcher is or what a nexus even it I’ll tell you, The watcher is a multiversal force that watches every timeline and every important moment, he makes sure the moments won’t affect the other timelines but he also doesn’t interfere. A nexus even is an event that changes the entire timeline from that event and after, these events can’t be changed or stopped, if they are stopped the entire timeline that they happen in will crumble into itself and get destroyed.
This episode was the most devastating thing I’ve ever witnessed in media. Watching a genocide on characters you’ve grown to love like this is just painful, and the buildup to it with Madeline’s sudden visions and Cable’s brief appearance was perfect to build suspense and fear.
Wasn’t Mystique working for Mister Sinister the last time we saw her in the old series? I could be remembering wrong. It would make sense that she was the reporter infiltrating the Mansion to locate and maybe kidnap baby Cable.

Way better than "Infinity War" and "Endgame" combine, I can honestly tell you that!

@@JamesSerapio if they are going the mutant revolution route than they more than likely will. there was also another universe where gambit was omega lvl and became pure energy.
Dre's reaction at the end... the open mouth, I think that that was most of us seeing this episode. Just...in shock. There were too many barz, too many emotional entanglements, and too many "what the hell" moments. The writer Demayo said that this was just the beginning. This was wild. For all the haters out there, all those who had labeled this as "woke garbage" (even if they don't even know what that means), I hope you're watching.
Dre, Beauty.... great reaction. Y'all got a new subscriber.
Cyke during that interview was like "You normies are lucky my kind and I don't air this whole PLANET out from your existence."
More like *ADOPTED SISTER*
But gr8 analysis tho
@leonardobraynen1524 Adoptive sister thanks for telling me. As well, thanks for your thoughts on my analysis.
I don't think Magneto and Leech are dead. Leech's powers depower mutants so i think Magneto is likely using Leech to feign death after the blast.
Did y’all notice The Watcher in the sky. It’s right after the Rogue and Gambit scene.
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .....I DEFINITELY SEEN THAT!!!!!!!!!!
....... don't forget about Bishop🤫😉
If you're familiar with the character the fireworks at the beginning of the festival you can briefly see the Watcher.
did you catch the watcher watching during the fireworks display look
Cannot believe Magneto is a groomer and an abuser.
great reaction
"Hab keine angst" destroyed me. It was very probably what Erik's parents said before they were killed. Here he stands in those same shoes - with those same sad eyes. DESTROYED me.
Magneto is picking them apart one by one!
Why are so many perceiving Scott as a cheater? I don't understand. Madelyn is his actual wife, he's been living with for probably years and she's the actual mother of his son. If anything, his position is morally impossible, a true dilemma. But he's not a cheater at all!!!
Black Wallstreet
12:10 The Watcher
Remember it…🕊️
I don’t know if you caught this but when Cable said “No.
Watching a genocide on characters you’ve grown to love like this is just painful, and the buildup to it with Madeline’s sudden visions and Cable’s brief appearance was perfect to build suspense and fear.
i keep saying, marvel tv can be summed up in this phrase: "we need to go to therapy". Wanda, Hawkeye, Bucky/Falcon and now '97. it's legit therapy.
Wasn’t Mystique working for Mister Sinister the last time we saw her in the old series? I could be remembering wrong. It would make sense that she was the reporter infiltrating the Mansion to locate and maybe kidnap baby Cable.
What's the name of the music that's playing in the outro of the video?
I cant feel you is an insane way to leave that episode and I pray they have the stones not to undo this.
I've been collecting Marvel Comics trading cards back in the early 90s...was there when the first XMEN animated aired on television in 92...and ALL "97" NEW EPISODES 1-5 NAILED IT! COSMIC EPIC INTENSE! WILD! MIND BLOWING! LOVED IT! because they stay true to the source material...with a little twist. Way better than "Infinity War" and "Endgame" combine, I can honestly tell you that!
Be wary Be vigilant Tragedy lures with Fortune First - Magneto 😢.
"Fans" and they didnt notice the watcher in the sky
You didn't notice the watcher? It's right when cable comes
None of it would of happened if storm was there😅
Bruh, that blast was vaporizing mfs what are you talking about?
They needed Vulcan, not Storm and I say that as a Storm Stan! That EM blast that took her out, she would've been cooked bro.
BRO, I’ve been sayin the same thing! All of this is magneto’s fault! 🤦🏾♂️storm and now gambit? This ain’t a coincidence.
He sacrificed himself though.
Dude lead for weeks and already lost 2 xmen
captain spider-man aka cosmic spider-man, was needed for this mutant massacre.

After his "Acts of Vengeance" failed, Loki created the Tri-Sentinel by magically merging three prototype Sentinels built by Shaw Industries to become the cornerstone for Project Nimrod, a secret government plan to destroy mutants. Loki reprogrammed the robot to attack a nuclear power plant nearby in order to kill thousands of people; however, Spider-Man used his newfound powers of Captain Universe to destroy it.
