Cyclops dropped those bars on that Reporter because that is the REAL Scott. My man spent 5 years or so as one of the best villains Marvel ever had. That's why I love Scott. He tries all the time to put his anger and frustration to the side to get the job done for everyone. But every now and then, he lets loose with his real feelings and you can see he has a little more Magneto in him than he'd like to admit.
Good, all of us would be lucky to have at least a little Magneto in us if it means we’ll enforce our boundaries like that. That’s one of my favorite scenes from the whole season. I couldn’t believe that reporter! What a horrible topic to push someone on!
That "I can't feel you" breaks me every time because you can tell the VA had to reach into her own pain to hit that emotion and it reminds me so much of my own.
4:40 yall collectively backing up at this moment was great lol 13:29 such a shocking moment 14:16 that final line at fade to black is heartbreaking Great episode. Enjoyed your reaction
“Man fuck this episode” is what EVERYONE said after watching this.😂😂 This show had no business being this emotional and this good.. and the later episodes somehow continue to get better.
What no one has commented on as a reviewer yet is Magneto lived through the concentration camps, the German's brought the Jews into their death camps via trains. and Magneto using trains to combat a similar evil the speaking German and do not be afraid to leech is so so deep such amazing writing...just wowza
Magnetos speech about not living the rest of their lives womdering if they couldve saved more was a callback to Schindlers List when at the end he starts wondering how many more he couldve saved
Gambit went out like a G. This show blew me the f*ck away. I wasn’t expecting it to be so damn good. He thought he lost Rogue to Magneto and he had nothing left to live for. He died for her. So she could live.
@@punkem733 Apparently it was either 94% of all known mutants (17.5 million) at the time, or about half, depending on which source you believe, probably due to continuity error. I don't think mutants outnumbering humans is a thing that's happened in most continuities, though - are you thinking of the projections for the future of mutant population, as is mentioned in this series in a later episode?
@@punkem733 17.5 million is one of the stated figures for the known population of mutants at the time, sorry, not the number of deaths. So 16.5/17.5 = 94%.
This episode was phenomenal! Everything from the animation, writing, music and even the soap opera drama and twists were outstanding. Rogue and Gambit's relationship is so interesting and poetic, with excellent writing, almost Shakespearean. That ending alone had my mouth on the floor. Gambit went out like an *ABSOLUTE G, SAVING EVERYONE LEFT ON GENOSHA!!!* Rogue: "Sugar... I can't feel you," nah I can't😭 I loved seeing my boy Nightcrawler, too; he's always been my favourite X-men. Magneto had some of the hardest lines Ive ever heard in this episode alone. I have to say Scott's outburst was pretty well deserved since he constantly lost people he cared about to save humans who continually hate and threaten them. He is slowly starting to become as cynical about humanity as Magneto is, and I mean, can you really blame him? Also, I don't see why Jean is mad at Scott since Madelyn was the Jean he fell in love with and gave birth to his child, and he had no idea about this after processing losing his son; Scott isn't precisely sure what to hold onto especially when he's tied to Jean and subconsciously owe to Jean to make up for all the lost time they had. Yet, Jean says he was cheating when she straight-up kissed Logan earlier; she cheated on him as much as he unknowingly did the same thing. The Genosha Tri-Sentinel massacre was the equivalent of a Mutant 9/11, and seeing the brutality and devastation is heartbreaking. Truly, this show is PEAK MARVEL MEDIA!
For the question of what happens if Gambit runs out of cards to throw. Then everything can become a problem cause he can charge anything with kinetic energy. A deck of cards is just easier to carry, and also an enemy wouldn't normally think twice upon seeing him pull out even a single card. They'd probably just laugh like 'wtf is this?', until BOOM
This was a great episode. It was a very insane, intense, and dark episode. The writers are killing it with these episodes. It is nice to see Nightcrawler again as well his bond with adoptive Rogue and Gambit. Talk about so many emotions. Gambit wants a relationship with Rogue but can't because of Rogue powers to not be able to touch. Cyclops dealing with giving up his son. The media is all in the X-Men business. Jean is not trusting her memories. Because she can't tell if it actually her or Madelyne Pryor. But wow, she actually kissed Wolverine. And man, her being pissed off a Scott for having a psychic connection with Madelyne Pryor. Rogue is caught in a love triangle with Gambit and Magneto. I'm happy that the show gave us a backstory into Rogue pasted relationship with Magneto before joining the X-Men. We get to see Cable as an adult. The Sentinel attacking the mutants of Genosha was insane with so many mutants getting killed. It seems that were the images Madelyne Pryor had seen when she used her powers to get into Henry Gyrich mind for information in episode 1. Man Magneto and Gambit sacrificed themselves to save the mutants as well. When Rogue was holding Gambit and she said sugar... I can't feel you line my thoughts was oh f*ck that line hurts bad. Great job to the voice actress of Rogue Lenore Zann did a fantastic job with that line. This may be the best episode so far. RIP Gambit he went out like a hero. But anyway I hope you have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing Tellitlikeit Izz.
That's not something Cyclops would do bro you haven't been reading the last 15 years of xmen 🤣🤣 Cyclops has become a self-assured winner-takes-all militant tactician that will do whatever it takes for the mutant race to survive. My favorite iteration I actually respectthat versionof Cyclops
It’s crazy to think an episode of animated X-men can be this traumatic. It ended with you like the Tracy Morgan clip of him in the car just repeating “No.”
The ONLY time Gambit has ever died has been in alternate realities but NEVER in the 616 verse. I couldn't believe they killed him but he'll be back after his run as Death.
