Great ideas Brian! Thank you for sharing. We've been using our Oros indicators at the end of the leader, but reeling it in until the leader hits the rod tip. We like how you did it running the line through the hook keeper and then attaching the indicator to the end of the line. It's a great way to start or end the day.
Had a good laugh when they mentioned the peg-board in the background. “I’m Not responsible for that!” 😂 Great tips for reel storage. Have a safe and fun 4th of July MRO crew! Thanks guys! 👍👍🎣👌💥🇺🇸
Thanks Brian for a good Oros tip. Theres nothing more frustrating than getting set up at the water n have to detangle line n leader b4 tying on a fly to fish with. God Bless n Fish on!
Thanks Brian, I know exactly what you're talking about. I better check my reel right now! I don't have any of those OROS strike indicators so I'll try the rubber band trick.
Well, for 4 decades, I just thread about 6 inches of tippet through one of the open holes on my fly reels. I need to buy some of those indicators. I am also in the market for a 6 wt fly rod too!
A question - do the knucklehead knob extensions stay firmly in place ? Compatible with the Lamson Liquid reel series? If so, they’d be a great help to me, 75 year old stiff fingers. Great tips in today’s video. Thanks
Can somebody help me here? My new set comes with free fly line, but i dont know what type of line it is... the sign "this ends to the reel" is not there also, so i dont know if it is weight forward or not... the size of the two ends are the same also😂... so im confused
Male and Female? Did you just assume that bobbers gender?!? 🥸 What I always do is leave a few inches of leader out and thread it in and out of the holes in the side of the spool. It stays locked in there and I can still play with my reel like a 40ish year old child.
The hair looks absolutely FABULOUS today Brian!
Thanks for watching. This was a few months ago but his hair is still FABULOUS. We think he got it cut the other day. Twice a year....need it or not!
😂
Great channel. I was into fly fishing as a teen. Then life happened. Now after 40 years i am ready to pick it back up. Your beginner series is great.
A life without fly fishing is no life 😜
Thanks for being here and keep MRO in mind for your future fly fishing needs.
Agreed!

I have some of the oros that I bought from you. I can now put them to use until I need an indicator. Great idea.
Thanks for watching. It works!

Just found this channel and I really like it! Useful information presented clearly, and the guy reminds me of Jeff Daniels so that’s a big plus

Love both of those items that you showed! I will have to get a couple of those Roros and use that.

Thanks for sharing this tip Brian! Over a year and still no underwrap... except now there's one less excuse for how that last one got away!
Thanks for watching. His video on spare “excuses” should be out soon. Stay tuned.
And does this mean I'm on a team of scientists and chemists? If so I need to ask for a raise at work!
Thanks Brian, I know exactly what you're talking about. I better check my reel right now! I don't have any of those OROS strike indicators so I'll try the rubber band trick.

Just today i wondered how my line was so messed up. Now i know.
Happy to help. Thanks for watching.
Pro tip. No more wasting time at the ramp trying to get my line out of there.
Happy to help!
This trick will stop the Tippet/leader getting caught between Spool and Reel Cage wrapped around Reel spindle.
And much, much more. Thanks for watching.
Two peices of Lego blocks also works well for this.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching.
Am I the only one who just threads my last fly back through all the guides, reels everything up and just sticks it into the cork handle?
Yes.
Do it with airlocks all the time.
Thanks for watching.
HAHA i learned this the hard way the other day.
Most do at some point. Thanks for watching.
Fly fishing with a bobber. 🤦♂️
Yes, that’s pretty much what it is.
Male and Female? Did you just assume that bobbers gender?!?
