Thanks, good information... I will be testing out my 4Black, I have a 3 plus black and thought I could do some stereo 4k video shoots... ah but the frame rates are different and software does not handle that well. or so I am told. So I am looking for another 4black.

I went for the black. The 30fps @ 4K and 120fps @1080p are just awesome. It is a pity however about lack of build-in LCD on the black... it certainly eliminates any realistic possibility of shot composure as a point and click stills camera. And of course the Black add-on LCD makes the camera bigger and heavier too. Ah well. They are both excellent cameras nonetheless.
Edit: Bought the LCD "bacpac" now... but rarely use it. I had to laugh as the LCD bacpac is supplied with SIX outer case clear backs for various configurations.
By the way, the black's 4K quality is simply out of this world.

Great video. I bought the silver 4 to replace my Hero 3 black. I did have an LCD with the 3 and love having it integrated.
But when you break the screen, you'd not get it fixed individually :(
ThatOneGuy You can take apart and fix a go pro pretty easy. replacement parts are redly avalable.
Brad Rex You can take off the screen for the HERO4 Silver?! I thought it was attached and there's no need for the LCD Screen.
ThatOneGuy It's not "attached" its built in. To remove it you must disassemble the camera.

how do you guys get 2 hours on the hero 3+ i have the hero 3 and i only get 45min of straight 1080p recording. the 3+ can't be that big a leap in battery life compared to the hero 3
***** yeah it has. and other battery tests showed about the same thing. the hero 3+ also got like 30min more than hero 3....so haha idk how you guys got that much. maybe since it's brand new?

Yep I've seen and heard it too, the sharpness is better in black and the sound also is not muzzled and it picks up a lot more high tones nicely
