If you ever come to the states, particularly around Chicago, pick up some Green River soda. It’s phenomenal. When you mentioned green pop/soda, it immediately came to mind, and I thought, “I must tell them about Green River at once!!!”
Also, you know what? Luck is so underrated in games. I think the classic argument of some games having "too much luck" primarily applies to games where there are NO decisions to make, like Candyland or Chutes and Ladders or something. But games with a complete absence of luck can be a bit deterministic, honestly. Adding elements of luck to a strategy game give it a special spice that keeps things INTERESTING.
Love Dice Throne! You two really turned me on to the game with your tourney! We played it at PAXU this past December and I gifted it to my brother in law! And that In Vino Morte sounds like that scene with Vazzini in The Princess Bride “Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line!”
I don’t drink either but I do like board games! Thanks for giving me some more dice roller options. I’ve found that even my less gamey family loves to roll dice.
_"You've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?' Well, do you, punk?"_ I like Can't Stop (I have the big plastic version with the traffic cones), Push, Bang! The Dice Game, and Super Mega Lucky Box. But of course when you're as unskilled at games as I am, every game is a luck based game!
Jeff, I know why you have such terrible luck in games with a heavy luck element. You used up your whole lifetime's supply of luck to end up with Jamie. Works the same in my house. I got to marry my soul mate, Patty, which is great, but now I know I will NEVER win a game of Quacks. I'm okay with the trade-off.
Thankfully one of my bracelets has Jade beads because I totally forgot today was St. Patrick day 🍀🍀🍀🍀. I sadly have no luck scratch offs, gambling, board games I'm always losing. I need to get in vino morte, It seems really fun. I love Clank!, Dice Throne & Quacks.
Great games! I especially enjoy Clank, No Thanks, and Can't Stop. Can't say I enjoy Cubitos or Quacks, though. I never make it halfway down the track! Have you played Push? It is a short card game with a pure press your luck mechanic. I also like Ethnos, Atlantis Rising, Incan Gold (Diamont), Celestia, and On Tour for this category.

Ohhhhh I like the sounds of this!
Shamrock shakes sounds right up your alley Jeff. Or a matcha latte, I've heard those are decent

In Vino Morte is the only one we haven't tried out yet, but it seems like a great game to pull out when watching The Princess Bride!
I agree! Great game!😊
I haven’t had a chance to play it yet but I’m excited to try it! Jamie’s been raving about it

Truth! I'm in the same boat. You wouldn't believe my horrific luck in games, but I hit the jackpot with my wife.
Can't stop is great fun. Have only played on BGA but really loved it. My most-played game on BGA.
I agree! I get tired of people criticizing games for having too much luck. Not a problem for me! Mix strategy and luck... fine by me!
I feel you, Jeff. I love Quacks but have the worst luck in it 😂 I've played it about 20 times and have won maybe once or twice. So much fun though!
It’s BRUTAL. My goodness that frigging game.
It’s a big hard to get but Rapido is Knizia’s take on Can’t Stop and it’s incredible. Definitely one of my favorite lucky games.
Awesome! Haven’t heard of that one
Dice Throne is my favorite 😍 but you sold me on Clank, so I will pick that up.
Hope you enjoy it!!

We have not played push!! Very much want to try Atlantis though
Made exactly the same face when mountain dew was mentioned as Jeff...
Thumbs down to Mountain Dew
I haven't played strike but I do know there are tournaments, so there must be some kind of ability involved... I guess....
That seems crazy to me haha
ive been meaning to pickup strike it looks good
We got Strike for our oldest daughter for Christmas, and we play it as a starter for Game Nights constantly. It's great, and so quick!
I still need to play my copy of wonderlands war.
