HELP!!! So glad lord lead me here. our little band has piano, 2 guitars, sax and flute but no one was really keeping time so I volunteered to switch to bass and eventuall find a simple foot operated drum machine. ouur trouble musically is staying in sync and tune. we are stuck tuning to the piano but its abot a 1/8th flat so when she switches to the organ, which is perfect pitch all the other instruments are out. my notion is to ease the introduction of time keeping and tuning in a bit at a time. thoughts?
He is adding Hammond organ in the chorus as well, although he didn't show it in this video. I also use it a lot, often layered with piano and pad and varying the volumes, Nord Stage lets to do it very easily. It's almost mandatory to use an expression pedal for the organ part though (even pads can benefit from it) - it's a vital part of the organ playing style. And remember not to keep the sustain pedal pressed for too long and multiple chord changes, otherwise it'll get muddy.

I am from middle-eastern culture and during praise song sometimes I would use "Brass". But I notice Don has virtually every instrument covered by a human, including Brass, sax etc. Thank you
Hi Andrew - if one person is on piano, there is plenty more that could be added, such as a pad sound that brightens in tone with a modulation wheel at the chorus, Hammond B3 organ, bells, or a pulsing synth.

I have my Auxiliary Keys player mix Hammond Organ and pad behind me since I lead from the keyboard as well and it sounds pretty awesome together.
