Been buying their stuff since 95. Got the whole back catalog. I used to be more of a Lou guy, but the last 10-15 years I’m even more into Jake’s stuff. Seen them live twice, both shows were great
Love this sincere conversation, really great to hear this and to hear the vulnerability from Jason and Lou, SOLIDARITY and thank you for the great songs!
I'm Spanish also. Here is some of my original music all instruments recorded by me. It's like a mix of dino jr and nirvana. That's how I would describe my music
Wow, I just listened to Bubble and Scrape and Defend Yourself two nights ago. These guys are real good and have been going for a long time. First found out about them on the movie “Kids” a long time ago.
@@jessop-me too. I saw them tour that album and every three songs or so they all switched instruments. Was pretty cool at Bogarts in Long Beach California.
two things that grabbed my eye: - the bernie t-shirt of the bass player cracked me up - lou's guitar is actually a 12 string but he only has the 4th string doubled it seems? weird.
Lou has a weird 4 string tuning, and he doubles two of the strings. Sometimes in acoustic shows, he plays a large ukelele. This modified 12 string is a new addition to his gear set
"Music is combat"! That's so funny, and very true of audience -performer relationships, esp when someone good opened for garbage groups with Normal fans and pop radio play...+ fan anxiety about "their" band "selling out" making them hyper critical. I remember a show in 90something where Lou went off on some dumbass who heckled him for getting married. I believe a guitar was thrown and the band decamped until someone else punched the guy a few times.
Huge respect to Lou for keeping on. Sebadoh is one of those hidden 90s treasures that never stops giving.
I love Sebadoh. I'm not the only one. Thanks for this KEXP.
We also love them in Brazil!

@@TwinPeaksSessions Exactly, phenomenal album.....I still play Not too Amused all the time, love Barlow from Dino Jr!
Louie C we might be the same person. Not too Amused is my jam - I wish they still played it love.
Barlow's vocals are weaker here than in the past IMO
ill listen to these guys til they day i die, everything they put out...
finally got around to listening this record. So Sebadoh, go back to their roots, just a killer album.
Sebadoh y Dinosaur Jr excelentes bandas. Espectacular Mr. Lou Barlow!!!!
I really liked how different the first two songs with him on guitar were versus the latter two with him on bass
KEXP introduces all the good bands!

I respect sebadoh even though it's not skapunk
I'd like to think Lou Barlow knows how talented he is. He has to brain fart that at least once a day.
Still butt rock
