just saw Sebadoh Saturday in Asbury Park. They still fucking rule, new albums rules. Crowd was without energy. Mostly couples in their late 40s and mid 50s. no one drunk or talking. It was so strange. Jason made a joke, said "well you should all have lots of energy left for your second evening when we are done."
Lou Barlow made one of the greatest comments....he was the original bassist for Dinosaur Jr.... he said... "We new, we were looking for new job when J. Mascis realized he was a genius....That made me think...not only does Lou know, but he knows that I don't need to be a cling-on.... We saw Sebadoh in chicago....wonderful show...
Also, to all the Spoiled fanbois: “Dreams” is like if “Spoiled” grew up, got a real job, and had the sex with your mother and the told you that he did it at an inopportune moment for you socially and/or emotionally.
Reminds of seeing them open up for the flaming lips in 1999 I love sebadoh but I didn’t enjoy them live Jason can’t even get the opening riff close to right for its all you I love slacker 90’s music but even sonic youth gets closer to playing what’s actually on the original recording
I was at this show- it was Flaming Lips, Cornelius, IQU, and Sebadoh and was recorded for HBO. the show went on forever & my dad very patiently waited in the parking lot to drive my friend and me home
love the music, but the camera work is sloppy, almost everything poorly framed, overly shaky... please, the band can provide the vibe, you guys with the cameras, record it.
Lou Barlow - one of the greatest songwriters of his generation.
Very underrated
definitely one of my favorites.
I saw Sebadoh and Pavement supporting Sonic Youth in Prague 1992
me too.
Wow
Sorry you had to sit through that.
0:00 - Flame

Sing Something/Plate Of Hatred was great, don't hear those songs a lot any more.
i keep coming back to this for a few reasons. this flame is so much more dynamic and lous distortion is one of the best crunches ive ever heard
Sebadoh was the first concert being cancelled due to Covid in my city. Still hurts.
That's Elliott Smith giving the authentic early 90's slacker mtv interview complete with mumbling and lack of eye contact
Jake James 1999 is hardly "early 90's"
Ha I was at this show. So good

Jeff K uhmmm...lou returned to dino jr a long time ago...
I was at this show! I was 15
Russ was a great drummer, and really added something unique. I wish this lineup had recorded more stuff.
lou barlows guitar tone is sick.
I like his tone a lot more here than on the newer performance I just watched on KEXP (from a few years ago).
13:03 Dreams 😭❤
So damn good
Holy hell this version of Flame is like 50% better than the one on the album 🔥
LIES. Although this version is definitely 🔥
Nope
The Sebadoh is such a great album
this is great!!
"it's all you", the first song off the album 'The Sebadoh'
I Like It so much!
Also, to all the Spoiled fanbois: “Dreams” is like if “Spoiled” grew up, got a real job, and had the sex with your mother and the told you that he did it at an inopportune moment for you socially and/or emotionally.
Lou Barlow could play JJ Abrams in a biopic movie, or the other way around
Especially here. If you cut his hair, or grew out JJ's...they're like the same person. Appearance-wise.
I was the three hundred and fourteenth person to like this video. God bless several dose, er stub a toe, er Sebadoh!
FUCKINGS ROLL !!!!
