I drove for hours to get to that gig as they didn't play Scotland. This is a fantastic version of Not Too Amused, I can't remember it sounding so good at the time.
I wish i had been at this reunion show. When I was at Tufts in Medford/Somerville, I had a Civic with a cd player, and one of the albums I picked up at a record store in Davis Square was a deluxe cd reuission of this album. I listened to this thing for like two years straight.
Damn-that’s kinda a tragic image, but beautifully relatable. I love this song so much, and it hits me really hard to where I have to avoid listening to it when things are dark.
@PixelVendors i will continue the journey. 28 YO, discovered Sebadoh this year. Had only heard DJ, and decided to mosey on over to Sebadoh. 😅 This has been my alarm for the past week.
What was that you just said? That didn't make any sence t o me It's not the way I see it, man I'm almost tired of listening to you Why do you tie me up with words? The way your eye shifts makes me wanna go Black jawed living room couch professor When will you be through with me I'd like to know Everywhere I go I feel it But I won't talk, I won't get stuck with you Everyone's so lonely I dig it But I'm afraid I can't share this with you So don't make me your captive I don't feel like talking your shit I nod my broken head I'm not too amused wite humans
Wow. I just forgot that I used to cover this song... After my 2nd band broke up, I started doing some solo stuff, purely for enjoyment; this was one of the few songs I covered.
+joacoalvear i notice it has a humbucker pickup in the neck. kinda random for a tele. maybe its a custom shop guitar. it gives more meat, but hes also using pedals
I used to think this band didn’t have any good songs because I hated their sound. This one is actually good! I gotta admit it. It’s amazing what using a Fender Precision Bass will do to improve the sound of your band. The Rickenbacker bass sounds shit and I’m glad they didn’t use it for this performance. I slightly overdriven Telecaster with a humbucker in it sounds awesome too. But seriously, that P-Bass kinda ties everything together. Rickenbackers are known for their weak output and crappy sound. No one should use them. I do understand why people like Ricks though. They have low action and feel great when you play them. Unfortunately, they don’t sound good. Let this be a lesson to all the bassist and bands out there. There’s a reason the P-Bass is used for so many genres of music. It’s the best. It has so much presence and sounds so sonically full.

one of my favorite Sebadoh tunes
SAME!
I will never be able to choose between Dinosaur and Sebadoh...as they both are very capable to destroy me with their guitars and lyrics.
During these Covid times, all of these performances are like gold. Thanks.
12 years and kicking I love Sebadoh
A top 10 all time fave song. And kick ass album!
I love when they switch instruments
Me too! That Tele with the humbucker and P-Bass are killing it!
I love you Jason
What a great song! Come back to Australia Sebadoh.
Omg! I interviewed them for the student rag just before this gig! I thought this moment was gone forever, but here it is!
