I would recommend to anneal copper seals before installation. By annealing (getting them red hot) they get softer and are easier to compress by which you obtain better seal.

I've a 06 Avensis and between this video and the ones you posted on replacing the discs and pads (front and back) I've been able to do the work myself. Thank you for the great content.

Very good. That was very precise and complete. I’m glad you didn’t rely completely on the one way valve as I’ve seen them fail before so “belt & braces better on brakes”. Well done.

This video has given me the confidence to have a go at my brakes in the new year. I have a strange noise at very low speeds. Just before the car stops. It’s almost a string like noise. My local garage can’t put their finger on it. They say the disc and piston operate fine. Have you had any issues like this?

I have had a few noises from the brakes, one of them was due to the disc cover rusting, the bits of rust would fall between the hub and the wheel.

So far so good, I've had the new callipers on over a year now, and they're still in good condition, however I haven't changed the front callipers yet, front brakes take more punishment than rears.
