    Brilliant thanks 😎
You're lucky things came undone, on my last Audi nothing came undone and everything was already rounded off 😰🤣

Good job. I have the same car. I would recommend taking the lid off the master cylinder when pushing caliper back in. Keep an eye on the fluid level as it will rise when you push the calipers back in. Can overflow an make a mess. Also I would take caliper slide pins out and clean and use silicone grease. They tend to stick on these avensis causing the pads to wear uneven. Easy job when the caliper is off and your pads will last alot longer.

Wrong that could possibly turn the seals over in the ABS pump or master cylinder. Clamp the brake hose, attach a bleed bottle to the bleed screw, undo the bleed screw and push the piston back with a wind back tool. then do the bleed screw back up. No need to bleed the brake afterwards. Copper grease used could affect the ABS because it has metal content in it. No thread lock used on re usable bolts and no torque wrench used.

On some cars it may be necessary to crack the bleed screw when pushing the caliper back, however I have a pdf of the Toyota workshop manual for this model of Avensis, and it does not include a procedure to crack the bleed screws on the calipers front or rear to do the pads. You can but why give yourself twice the work, and potentially introduce air that will require a full bleed.

    Great video.
I did the rears about 2 weeks ago.
Bolts were absolutely rusted on. Eventually got them free.
Am glad to see the fronts are just 4 bolts as well. Really need to do this tomorrow but it looks like a very wet and windy weekend ahead.
Well what else would I expect during an English summer!

Them 2 holes are actually used to help remove seized on discs....if you notice they are threaded if you put a bolt in each whole and tighten it drags the discs away, it's a lot easier the mallet method

if the brakes are that much heavily soiled, then the maintenance of the brake cylinder is also a must!

Yes, unfortunately this is a problem in this country, every winter the roads get covered in salt and therefore the underneath of the car gets covered in salt.

@@amateurtorque6709 You should see some of the rigions in Bavaria, Germany. Cars are literaly rusting away over there. Some people would have two cars, one for the winter and one for the summer time. I used to live there and the bottom pieces of the front wings on my golf mk3 were literaly falling off due to rust.
