Obviously this vid is not my usual art vlog, but I figured it would be better for me to post something random than to not post at all. Also, I hope hearing about my journey on TH-cam, getting over my fears of posting online, and just going for it!

OH i think that's an essential rite of passage 😅 but it's also such a sign of progress! like when i feel cringey about the first vids i posted five years ago, that's actually just brain being able to acknowledge "oh i've GROWN and i am so much more proud of the videos i'm making now..." that's why it's so great to just START and begin that journey. i can't wait for future me to be better than i am now and to be able to look back at the videos i'm currently posting with embarrassed nostalgia 😂😂😂
I posted a video of me coming out when I was like 15, no idea why I did that and I took it down very quickly lmao. Still haunts me.

Okay this is quite literally exactly what I needed, I had an anxiety attack a couple of days ago and I was having so much social anxiety abt posting online, even tho I really really wanna make this a career, but just that scary social part (along with the fact I'm an adult but I'm still afraid of my parents knowing, and yet I want to let go of that guilt and be able to share my work with them) was what was keeping me back, and your advice just literally gave me so much comfort 😭💖☁ so thank you so so much for making this video, it was a sign and such a calming/grounding thing for me

this video definitely inspired me. Ive been wanting to get out of my comfort zone and do things that scare me and posting videos is a BIG one. I didn't realize it at first, but your "starting my art business" series is the perfect template for someone who wants to invest their time into something that they love, while documenting it. it's definitely a great way to hold oneself accountable.

This is my first video of yours that I've seen and I just want to thank you! This video came to me at the perfect time.
I've been struggling so much recently because of where I am in life. I'm a cosmetologist and for me, cosmetology felt safe because it's what I'm naturally good at. As time's been passing, I've realized how unhappy I am doing this. I had dreams growing up of becoming a voice actor, playing instruments, dancing and doing TH-cam/content creation. For a long time I felt like "It's too late, you're too old. What's the point?" Recently, however, I'm realizing that I'm telling myself these things as a way to convince myself that what I'm doing is good enough. I turn 24 on Monday, that's still very young. I'm still young. I'm realizing that fear has pushed me into a comfort zone but I can still do all the things I grew up dreaming of. I have potential, I just don't use it anymore. But that changes now.

I am also trying to grow a lil art business, I was a software engineer for ten years and I totally feel what you were saying about not being as "proud" at that accomplishment, at least for me it definitely felt like I chose that path because it was safe but I didn't love it. earlier this year I came to basically the same conclusions that you mentioned in this video, and after saving enough to pay all my living expenses for a year I quit my job lol. so glad I found your channel because it's inspiring me to vlog about my journey too ☺ I'll be cheering you on !

Grrrrrrl I just can relate too much 😭😭😭😭😭 All my life I knew I was going to study something that people around me would consider as "succesfull" and I am now finishing my final project to my engineering degree. I have always LOVED dancing and drawing but I have never have the power to embrace it because "i wasn't enought". It wasn't until this year i began to watch lots of art inpiring videos that i started to ACTUALLY enjoy my art and I have so much fun even though I know is way far from something perfect. Such an inspiring history for someone hoping to start enjoying new things (just enjoying and not overthinking actually). Thanks❤

I've been watching your videos for a while now and decided to watch your past videos too for some inspo. Honestly, it gives me a lot of courage to pursue art more and to try to put myself out there. I don't know if I could come to make any videos on youtube to share my art, but it would be fun to try it out anyways! even if it doesn't work out, at least I tried

There’s a lot on my plate and just these days I’ve been so busy that most idle times i’m just playing small games on my phone to kinda pass time by but still have fun, but not the fun/activity that requires too much of me in that moment since I don’t want to burn myself out or push myself too much or put pressure on myself too much about getting important stuff done.
I know how anxious it feels to just rest and take a break, but it is also incredibly freeing!
I want to continue being a content creator too when I have more room in my plate and when I feel ready for it and ready to face my fears related to definitely I’ll still need to go through baby steps, and that’s what i’m working on right now. Thank you for being such an inspo and also being just your genuine self! It really helps 🥺❤

Thanks for sharing and motivating! I've always had such a huge desire to start a TH-cam journey and I did on some occasions but would always get in my head about bad quality and not being relatable. I really do want to try again now and aim to be more consistent and try just being authentically me vs trying to be like someone else. I guess like not compare my journey with someone else's 🤔 anyways, cute haircut! 💖

I ended up moving back in with my mom for personal reasons so filming in front of someone makes me nervous but I do want to bite the bullet and upload videos, even if it ends up just being for me and watching my own progress.

Your videos are always so encouraging 💕 Thanks for sharing your journey. I've been wanting to create a youtube channel since I was a teenager. I made a few in the past but they heavily depended on friends and whether or not they wanted to create a video and post it. I definitely learned that I was using other people as a crutch because I wasn't confident enough to do it on my own. And though I wonder about what ifs (like what if I just did it on my own), I also recognize that I just wasn't in the right place at the time. Currently, I think I'm in a good place to do it but I also think I have a lot of obligations and I don't want to cause myself more stress. How do you balance your two jobs along with your art & this art channel?
Honestly the videos you make actually seem approachable, sometimes vlogs and other content from art TH-camrs feel so polished though still authentic, but they seem larger than life to viewers. Yours actually make you seem to me like someone I could easily be friends with, and your content makes it seem like something we can actually do as well, if that makes sense. How did you get to be so confident speaking though, my voice cracks so bad so I just filmed silent vlogs when I was filming. 😅 I'm trying to get the confidence to get back into it :3

But looking at your fast growth, at some point I thought to myself that it takes all these advantages that you have and the natural talent and vision that I don't have, so I couldn't succeed or it would take me so much more time to start doing something good. But my therapist told me that I don't actually know what it really takes for you to make these cool videos! And literally the next day after this realization, I am watching this video, which I am really grateful for!💖💞❤🔥❤🧡💛

Thank you for this video ❤ I started my own channel a few months ago and I'm really struggling with growing my viewership. ATM I'm working on new videos to add some variety in the hopes that it will grab the attention of new people but I figured that, since I'm really enjoying the whole filming (and even editing) process, I'm just gonna keep doing It as long as it's fun for me, even if I don't have a following ☀
I had huge anxiety over posting my first video, haha! Anything related to posting art is a weird experience, because I'm usually creating something that I am proud of, or that I care about, and now other people are looking at it separate from myself. It makes it hard to take that step into doing commissions, creating an art shop, or a patreon/kofi. It's getting better though! I am creating a person that has experiences outside of just art, and is willing to nudge themself out of their comfort zone.
