Software engineer, hardware engineer/assembler, craftsman, botanist, chemist, competent tree climber … it might be easier to determine what you’re not…. Absolutely mesmerizing outcome…stunning!
This so far beyond "farm-to-table" ;-) The time, effort and sheer number of disciplines required to do what you have done here is truly amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Seriously. From the discipline and knowledge to handle his samples without contaminating them to the extremely professional controller box to what looks like pretty solid software to the editing of the video. Awesome work.
This video is elegant and the man who made it is absolutely an artist. Because he is an artist, and highly technically skilled....he used his skills to create something incredible. The problem though, is that it makes it harder for people to get started growing their own mushrooms when it appears to technically challenging to do so. You can buy a pre-inocilated mushroom bag and grow them on your kitchen counter by A) cutting a hole in the bag, and B) spritzing it with water for a week or two. Like everything, you can make it simple or complex and you can grow mushrooms really easily on the table you eat on.
@@ronlabe5487 Yes mushrooms are as EASY or as HARD as you want to make them. The sheer BEAUTY of Mr Mycodos "MR INCREDIBLE?" video here, is its purest composition of "WTAF did I just watch someone do seemlessly from start to perfected finish?" It's a MASTERPIECE! Although maybe I would not have cooked the finished results in same way but hey, each to their own right? It is GENIUS level video though and one I cannot stop watching. The editing and musical score alone is so catchy and like Mycology, once you are IN, its a world of pleasure and perhaps Manure, depending on what species you plan to allow to dominate your life! ;)
The sheer number of skills casually on display here is unbelievable. Everything is so high quality with so much attention to detail, on a small channel... I almost can't believe it.
Amazing. In this one video, you demonstrated mastery in at least 8 categories of skill. I am thoroughly impressed--and a bit jealous because they are all areas I WISH I could learn. Thanks for this. :)
I cant even begin to imagine the amount of effort, research and discipline for this video to be made. I've never skipped a single second watching this video. Keep doing videos like this. I'm just beyond awe right now.
Thank you deeply for this video. I thought I was the only one with the 'mushroom/electronics enthusist' Venn-diagram crossover lol! I just got into mushroom growing about two months ago, and man has it taken over my brain. I am essentially working my way to this set up... Made a magnetic stirrer out of an old computer fan and thought 'that was alright fun,' but started this itch... soooo, I have re-familiarized myself with coding and electronics from high school and bought an Arduino. Coded an extremely accurate temp and humidity gauge first day. Programmed an attiny85 microchip the next day. Today is day three and I see this... that itch has now grown stronger.
You've helped me with out asking anything in exchange not only will I not forget your contribution but it has inspired me to share my own creations with the world for free
I love seeing your invention and process, from a technical stand point its amazing, from a YT editor, its even better! Your transitions, selection of music, vid quality! Keep up the great work!
I absolutely love this - thank you so much Kyle. I found myself dancing the quickstep and foxtrot in my head whilst watching; that's a first, for sure . . .
This is an absolutely beautiful piece of art, this is one of the most majestic things I have ever seen. This along with your hydroponics videos have changed my life. Thank you.
A beautifully told story! My jaw dropped at that lion's mane find! I'm starting this hobby, too. As a software engineer, much props to the custom software.
I can recommend you to where I get my stuff from an online store his got his got Shrooms, psychedelics, alongside other products well Refined ships to anywhere discreetly.
I've grown some mushroom myself, and it taste way better than the commercial farm ones because here they very like to overuse chalks, making the mushrooms taste horrible. After watching your video, I really want to try growing another batch, but with automation and timelapse like yours. Very cool video!
I watch and follow several mycology channels, this is the first time I came across yours. I was mesmerized right away. Didn’t skip a single second, really felt like I took quite a bit away from this video, more so than 1+ years of other channels. And it was just classy on top of artistic and educational. I’m late to your channel, but sooo happy I found it at last. 👍
Not only are your videos cool, but how you do things makes the process super simple to maintain after setup. Keep being an inspiration and making useful tech available to everyone!
I loved how you built your own environment controlled chamber this is the kind of stuff I love: building everything from scratch and automating the culture. I would love to try this if I get the materials and improve my understanding of creating the control system. I’d love it if you could do a video on how you built the control system for the chamber
The only change I would make is in your channel description, you are not a hobbyist engineer, far from it, you are a better engineer than many I have seen teaching at university... Herculian work done by you, congratulations. I hope one day achieve this level too.
OMG! U are having expertise in multiple areas like carpentry, climbing trees, biotechnology creating culture in sterile medium, and electric circuit creation how did you learn so many completly different subjects 😳
Wow this is amazing. First time I've seen such a complete video on cultivating mushrooms at home. Not that much can typically be inferred from being wordy, but damn, "inoculum"?! You, sir, are a gentleman and scholar.
I am inspired by your videos like the automated hydroponics and this!! Im tracked to pursue embedded software engineer to build my automated farm! Thanks a lot!
So comprehensive and a great balance of detail-without-being-boring, thanks for making this! I've been using mycodo for a lot of different projects for about 2 years now and it just gets better and better. Thanks again!
im not reading the fucking comments to see if someone said this but I just really fucking like how the sped up drill sounds when it connects with the music bed. peace fucking out.
I love your channel; engineering, programming and microbiology fueling hydroponic gardening and mushroom cultivation. A beautiful mix that I plan to learn all about!
Amazing video ❤ absolutely love how you have demonstrated everything from the beginning to end . Would love to see a detailed video of exactly how to build a fruiting chamber like that especially setting up a Raspberry Pi computer , would love to build something similar but lack the experience or knowledge in working with electronics like that
Your material made me feel envy 😅. Man, you are very good at so many things that it just sounds like mission impossible 😑. Amazing stuff, thank you for sharing!
Dude! You crushed it! I dont even know where to start complimenting. The design, technicality, and quality of ur setup is genius. I especially like your electronics. Those mushrooms look so tasty too. Ow man i didnt even get to the video. The. Background music, time lapse, and scenes fell into harmony throughout the whole video... Killer dude!
Thanks for doing this! I'm definitely going to dig into your program this year as I already have the sensors in storage. I have been growing and foraging mushrooms for years wanting to build an automated fruiting chamber but never got around to the automation side of things since it's not my favorite side of things.
This is crazy, i was wowed by you making your own hepa flow hood, then you made the friggin controller, AND the code it runs on! DUDE!!! Leave some smarts for the rest of us 😂
I’ve been watching mushroom cultivation and DIY videos for years and just ran across this video … INCREDIBLE WORK!!! I love the flowhood and thanks so mush for sharing. I’m a new follower and will check out your Patreon!!!
Wow man, I was just going to mention the same as Sharvan did a month ago. I am an amateur mycologist and mushroom cultivator. I can nerd out on the video content alone but adding to that the PHENOMENAL video/ vocal/ audio/ and all-around production value is extraordinary. So accolades fellow mycophile, you've made something special here ; )
In the context of laminar airflow and using a flow hood, it is generally not recommended to place the flow hood on top of a workspace or table. Placing the flow hood on top can indeed disrupt the laminar airflow and create turbulence, which could compromise the effectiveness of the clean air environment provided by the flow hood. Laminar airflow is designed to provide a controlled, unidirectional flow of air in a parallel stream. This ensures that any airborne particles, contaminants, or microorganisms are carried away from the work area and do not interfere with the process being performed within the flow hood. Placing the flow hood on top of a surface may disturb this smooth, directed airflow, potentially introducing contaminants into the clean zone or causing unwanted recirculation of particles.

You forgot "good cook"
Dont forget YT content creator
Being a "Full-Stack" type of perrson is the only way to go :), I have always pondered building little weather stations and, this man, did it
PolyMath

I've never watched a 17-minute video without skipping a single second before, this video is truly a masterpiece in every aspect
Same! It was a completely amazing video
talk about short attention span, my guy
The sheer number of skills casually on display here is unbelievable. Everything is so high quality with so much attention to detail, on a small channel... I almost can't believe it.
The competence of this man is intimidating, I would say maniacal even.
lol 😁
Amazing video and you have some incredible skills my friend!
I'm glad the algorithm decided to suggest this channel, content is high quality
Amazing. In this one video, you demonstrated mastery in at least 8 categories of skill. I am thoroughly impressed--and a bit jealous because they are all areas I WISH I could learn. Thanks for this. :)
Same here just watching his projects makes me want to learn everything.
Content, video editing, idea, music, receipt and huge list of other things in a single video.
This is just mind blowing
It's so cool how just a small piece of a fruiting body contains everything needed to keep growing on its own.
I cant even begin to imagine the amount of effort, research and discipline for this video to be made. I've never skipped a single second watching this video. Keep doing videos like this. I'm just beyond awe right now.
At what temperature do you incubate your plates?

An engineer, a botanist, and a chef.
this channel is criminally underrated
You've helped me with out asking anything in exchange not only will I not forget your contribution but it has inspired me to share my own creations with the world for free
Wow! Overall the best myco vid I’ve ever seen. Oscar worthy short film involving foraging designing growing then cooking holy shit!
Glad you’re back, keep up the good work!you’ve made so much progress in the field whilst also helping so many of us
Amen!
I love seeing your invention and process, from a technical stand point its amazing, from a YT editor, its even better! Your transitions, selection of music, vid quality! Keep up the great work!
I absolutely love this - thank you so much Kyle. I found myself dancing the quickstep and foxtrot in my head whilst watching; that's a first, for sure . . .
Beautifully done. Watching the mushrooms flower at the end in the time-lapsed shots was magical!

damn this is one of the coolest maker projects i have ever seen, wow. so given the terminology i take it you're a microbiologist? thanks again
Those fritters better be the best, well, _anything_ ever eaten by man.
And the montage is great. The whole feel of this video is like chilling in your workshop with a friend and tinkering together.
I love your work. I came here to better my understanding, instead was completly entertained. Amazing.
Watched this video and your automatic hydroponic system... you're really talented, man, absolutely do not stop making videos
Oh my god finally! someone made a rasberry pi app for a grow space THANK GOD.
Just wow. I need to get another mycoda and another raspberry. Kudos to your amazing skill sets
By far my favorite mushroom cultivation tutorial I've ever seen. Beautiful
I can recommend you to where I get my stuff from an online store his got his got Shrooms, psychedelics, alongside other products well Refined ships to anywhere discreetly.

One of the best self-automated ones I've seen - kudos man, you are definitely a man of many talents!
I love the documentation on the external side for the Project. This is right up my ally. Thank you for all the work It helps me a lot to get started!
That was most therapeutic to watch! Thank for your wonderful effort, right from the start to including beautiful music!
That fungal time-lapse was incredible!
Awesome, man! From getting the genetics urself to building the flow hood and fruiting chamber… hats off man 👏🏼
I am inspired by your videos like the automated hydroponics and this!! Im tracked to pursue embedded software engineer to build my automated farm! Thanks a lot!
Now THAT'S what i call a good intro.
Needs more views because this is basically everything
I am so jealous of your inability to half ass anything. A true craftsman 🙏🏻
So comprehensive and a great balance of detail-without-being-boring, thanks for making this! I've been using mycodo for a lot of different projects for about 2 years now and it just gets better and better. Thanks again!
Hell yeah man you really have alot skills putting the video together alone plus wiring/growing/woodworkin/cooking
It's amazing how many different skills you have
congrats on life
Idk how I’m just finding your videos. This one is top notch my friend!! Excellent 👌
I just saw your complete job breakdown in the description. Thank you for taking the time to pursue this passion
What a piece of art. Setting the bar high!!
This has to be one of the most beautifully executed and informative video I have ever seen. Thank you
All I had to see was the mycelium TH-cam play sign at the beginning and in already hooked.
im not reading the fucking comments to see if someone said this but I just really fucking like how the sped up drill sounds when it connects with the music bed. peace fucking out.
Great video. Loved the hydroponic automation (being doing hydroponics for 3 years) and I was just looking at mushrooms.
this was the most beautiful thing i have seen in 1 week, thanks for the inspo
Those time lapse shots are so satisfying to watch!
I love your channel; engineering, programming and microbiology fueling hydroponic gardening and mushroom cultivation. A beautiful mix that I plan to learn all about!
Excellent! Glad you found it useful.
I would def recommend increasing your FAE in the chamber for the oyster mushrooms you're growing if they continue to be leggy!
Thank you for sharing s full video of a mushroom project! Your attention to detail really comes through in your videos!
Wow. I just started mushroom cultivation, but this is now on my list of things to do. Amazing build, excited to see what else you do
you are really GENIUS man!, I have never inspired by any youtuber, but you really deserve it. very well done.
possibly the most inspiring vid i ve ever seen on here! thanks so much
Thank you! I'm very glad you enjoyed it!
Oh man, this is my dream!
Thank you for this tutorial!

Damn dude...is there anything you can't build? I am very impressed right now 👏👏
This video exceeded my expectations by a lot!! Very interesting to see a laminar flowhood that flows vertically instead of horizontally. Subscribed!
One of the best videos I have ever watched. Thank you.
Thank you! Such a great compliment!
Masterclass, you are adept in many areas of skill that I wish to improve on in, this video truly inspired me.
Inane talent here. Amazing work, thank you for sharing!

what a beautiful ending! Very inspiring
Is there nothing Kyle can't do?? The number of disciplines needed to produce this video (and from the other ones) is insane?
Wow! That’s simply amazing, my friend. Thanks for sharing and it really opened up my eyes.
You took diy to a whole new level
Dude... you had me at let's build the multifunctional control. Then you go and make crunchy oysters... epic

Placing the flow hood on top of a surface may disturb this smooth, directed airflow, potentially introducing contaminants into the clean zone or causing unwanted recirculation of particles.
Then consider it a positive pressure hood so, by principle, all airborn particles are evacuated though all openings.
really impressive! i didn’t know that you had to be so careful about everything being sterile! thanks for the video!
Very professional.
I'd like to have all that knowledge.. thank you
thats one hell of a video you made sir. outstanding.
