dude, I have questions. I have rasberry pi and made a large hydroponic and greenhouse, 8x8 meters. Where did you get all the sensors? Is this all open source that I can use these? I am just starting up and had a lot of failures on the way including getting very sick. I am hoping to get things working.

It is humbling to be sure but don't forget, all of these skills in detail are available for study on the web. If you are strong enough in any area you can pick up the other skills just by doing. People like Kyle make this possible by sharing the kind of detail he does. That's what blows me away. Anyway, Thanks Kyle! Amazing!

A lot has changed since I was a kid. When I was a kid, all of this was at most, just imagination. Heck, smartphones weren't even a thing when I was a kid. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for people who are 80-90 years old. The world of their childhood is long dead and gone. Unlike a lot of the older generation, I'm totally for automation and technology. It can really be a huge benefit to humanity, however, I also believe that the old ways of farming should remain, even if just to preserve crop variety.

OK MY GUY HOLY SMOKES. But seriously... this over-engineered lettuce tent is a masterpiece. As is the video. The continuous shot from planting to late stage growth was just.. oof.. brings a tear to my eye.

I'm thoroughly impressed. I was convinced when it came time to plant, you'd be growing marijuana (which is legal here in Canada).

Great video! I notice at the end that the reservoir seems to be getting a bit murky. Did you have issues with algae growing in the open (non-dark) container?
