Good job, sir! Have you considered reversing the pulleys such that the larger pulley is on the blade and the smaller pulley is mounted on the motor shaft? The would reduce blade speed (ideal blade speed of 1000-1200 RPM--slower for larger diameters) and increase torque to possibly be able to use a cold cut blade instead of abrasive blade which has great benefits. I've checked into the evolution cold cut saw; but, it's to expensive for me. When I found your vid, I was actually looking for DIY cold cut saw ideas. Good day, sir!
Man I have a huge metal cutting chopsaw, it's just been sitting out back , found it thrown out , didnt wanna throw it away . I have a 115 volt 1725 RPM AC electric motor also dont wanna throw out , runs great very quiet . Then I saw this . Combine them and now have use for both .. thanks
Shit , the problem is , I hurt my back building houses my whole life about 11 years ago it went out and now hurts everyday . So my wife talked me into selling all my shit . Dont even have a dam screwgun , grinder , no welder , i just have the basic toolbox tools now .I'm screwed either way. Ain't been able to work since on the dealt chopsaw I pull button and nothin, like if theres a short or cut wire . My guess is the was cutting metal and pressing to hard to long and burnt it up...
Nice rescue of the dead saw. As many have mentioned, the slower speed opens up other uses for it too. Plus later on you could probably and various size pulleys to open up other speeds for it and even more uses (like the 3 pulley system we used in my high school drill press machines, so we could pick the best speed for the drill size and material))
If you change the pulleys to slow the speed down that will give it more toque and then you will be able to use a coldsaw blade and because the motor no longer is so close to the blade you will be able to run coolant with the blade just make a reservoir under the saw to catch the coolant and a small pump to cycle the coolant back up to the blade
Great idea brilliant ..... it gives me the idea of connecting a three phase motor so I can control the speed or maybe an ordinary DC motor .... I am a true hacker hacker hacker ..... I would use a and grinder with a cut off blade and just saw the motor off and then connect a motor directly to the shaft…… And then find out that I really needed to use a belt based solution …… I am really lazy and this causes me too often do more work than I should have had to do
The idea is very interesting, by damaging the original engine, another type of engine can be adapted, possibly the only difference can be the power of the engine or the speed, because the carbons engine has more power and speed, greetings and thanks from Nezaland city Mexico
The new bearing is not steady and cutting speed is too slow as others said. You’ve got a motor, I believe you can make an other new than use the broken one!
Use a carbide tooth blade like the famous evolution chow saw and slow down the rpm to no more the 2300 rpm I copied your idea using a treadmill motor and it's the best metal chop saw I have ever used. I use it more than my horizontal band saw
Aqui no Brasil ,farei o mesmo, pois uma policorte Black Decker , queimou o induzido e me cobraram US $ 68 para fazer o conserto . O custo do equipamento novo é US $ 125 !
Dude when you said you may change out for a better motor in the future...it just hit me.... find an old chainsaw and use the engine from that... gas powered!!... that would be really cool I've got one here at my house that would work well but I'm in the USA
Why don't you try running a carbide steel cutting blade like the new cold saw Fein Slugger or Evolution saw and use one of those blades on that belt drive saw that you've created there it might work really well the RPM seem to be just about right they're only supposed to be 15 1600 RPM James
Pekpek fit talaga idol😁😂😄
Shhh. hahahaha
Hahaha lodi talaga🤣😂
Taena hahaha

this build mod i have searching, finally I can see some do it. thanks x sharing. The only man I see doing this
Change the pulleys. Smaller one on the motor side and larger one on the blade side. Will increase strength although decrease blade speed. Good idea.
Great! Any time you can reuse make it purposeful again, it a win!

Yeah your right. Thinking of changing it with a 1hp motor and look for a higher rpm ang pulley.
Excelente no tiene mucho ruido...
Felicitaciones.
Saludos desde Perú.
Thumbs up
Galing ng pag kakaconvert mo bro.
Salamat bro.
Excelente trabajo.

Great repurpose of the broken saw. Great video
That's a great idea. Good job.👍
AMAZING IDEA! 👍👍👍 😀😀
Muito bom parabéns pelo trabalho

I would just use a faster motor and run coolant.
Really nice custom build. Great job! 👍👍👍
thanks

that will work good on the roster we here crowing all the time in the back ground lol.
try to add some water hose or oil hose for cooling, maybe less spark
great adaption , need to secure electrical wire from sparks when cutting
You have great videos and this one of them. nice project.
Great job I won't throw mine away thx
But once I am surprised by his inventions and it gets very good.
Exelente Trabajo Amigo!!! 👏👏👏
i wonder if you can make a cold saw by changing the gearing : )
Eres un genio colega te admiró magnífico muchas gracias maestro buena tarde
subscribed kuyang, pareng, kapatid at idol sek
because it does not put a bigger pulley in the engine because I see that it is very small and thus increases the revolutions
Sukatin molang ng medida sir pulley to pulley. Wag sa lubog mag sukat dapat dun sa taas. Kunware nakuha mo 30inches yung sabihin mo sa autosupply
Really nice job 👍👍👍
If its slow enough like 1500 rpm you could put a carbide blade on it
Most likely 1200 rpm. Ill try that soon bro. Thanks for the info
Yeah carbide blade would be ideal solution. YOu can make it to run with cooland, it will last loong time before resharpening @@SekAustria
good Idea! what do you think about a system to fixing the motor further to tighten the belt ?
The new bearing is not steady and cutting speed is too slow as others said. You’ve got a motor, I believe you can make an other new than use the broken one!
exactly what i needed. thank you
Nice diy thanks for sharing ur video
Job well done!

Try to use high speed motor ,and make sure that the load speed reaches at least 4500rpm
beau travail.. bravo!
request naman ung dead motor circular saw naman boss ang i convert mo to single phase motor..
nice pwedepala i convert galingmo kabayan magayanga tulongpo
Great video, Thanks for sharing
good idea
Great work
Really nice job, dude! Great idea!!! 😃
Is very good, 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
ayos yan kuya, ang galing,
Ficou top 100 engenhoca. Só faltou velocidade . Parabéns

good job sir
Good job sir
very nice 👍
Lodi gawa ka nman Ng pelton turbine generator...request lng Po...
Napakahusay!
Good save. I wonder how it would work with a small petrol engine?
That would be fun. If i just have that engine im going to try it
Exelente resiclage grasias por compartir su conosimiento
good job.please can you tell the speed of the motor.
Pinoy pala may ari ng channel na 'to 😅
Great idea...
Hi, I'm Brazilian, man, I really admire your work. I want to ask what did you do with your channel's previous projects?
Hmmm i confuse with your comment.
@@SekAustria
What did you do with your channel's previous projects?
Hmmm 3d peinter reviews and roller ring bender. Check my channel it seems you missed some of my videos bro.
Tighten the belt for more strength than you have now
👏👏👏desde argentina!!!
interesante mis saludos desde venezuela
Great man

Haha yes that will be fun and cool. If i have that engine for sure ill replace ut right a way. Thanka man.
@@SekAustria wondered what it would cost to ship my chainsaw to you I'm assuming you're in Austria
Im in the philippines austria is my surname bro. I love to have that i think its kinda expensive to send it to me.
Paano mo ginawa yung angel grinder mo na maging belt grinder may video ka

Nice
I would like such a welding machine
Your pump is 1/2 hp ,, get a 1 o 1.5 hp motor and you will cut thru anything ,, as long as the gearbox doen't break down
What power did the engine use?
Muito bom show.
Idol ilang horse power ung motor mo
