My 2019 OPEL Insignia opens the trunk with the same trick.
Also, a Bentley should had been leather and wood. Not some overpriced 5$ piece of aluminum that is going to reflect the sun in your eyes in the afternoon.
Bentley Continentals since VW took over are sill some of the best and at least in my and other Owners i know Experience the most reliable Bentleys. Especially the W12 Models
Definitely can recommend them and i don't know about other Countries, but in Germany your local VW Dealer actually does the Maintenance and it doesn't cost more than any other VW Parts
Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
That is the same engine that was in the Phaeton, right?
Rather have the LC500, in 3 years they're worth the same 🤷♂
That’s why I purchased one.
It kinda looks like a fancy Mustang, but i like it though.
Don’t worry, the 2025 GT with the V8 hybrid absolutely smokes this. The GT has never been better, is your review coming soon Doug??
I was just gonna say a hybrid. V8 is actually better both worlds.
Still gas powered with electric
2025 conti hybrid v8 even smokes the w12. No boot space though.
Best integrated infotainment screen of any new car on the market.
Its sad to see the gas engines going away. I think this edition is a good sendoff, it looks nice, has a V8, and its cool to see the whole fleet get a special edition to match eachother.
How is the V8 gone when the new one has a V8 as well. Doug talk so much bs
@@leod9463 Exactly - keeping the V8 and adding an electric motor is not "getting rid" of the V8 at all. If they dropped it down to 4 cylinders and then added an electric motor (like the AMG C63) that's a different story, but just adding a battery doesn't diminish the fact you still get a V8.
"if you're even thinking that way then you probably belong in an S class" Doug getting chippy today hahaha
If I’m rich I don’t want to mess around with charging a car time becomes important you don’t want to waste it
If you're rich enough to buy a new Bentley, your butler will take care of charging your Bentley while you go drive your Ferrari.
I really like the "Damn Son" color
i love the color and the color of the interior except for the wheels. i hate black wheels.
And they are too big.
The "Damn Son!" color goes hard on this!
Going EV is gonna kill so many companies- including many you’ve never heard of.
name em for reference
Not having corded telephones is going to kill so many companies... microwave ovens are going to kill so many ovens... LED bulbs are going to kill so many light bulb mfg's... you really cannot handle technological advancements or adapt to change can you?
Audi went ev I think they're about to be gone too
@@crouchb15 vw for instance

Dis da first perfect car Doug 😂😂🔥🔥
Electrification is definitely not the future. We will see…
Precisely. Thank you. Douggie gets paid xtra for pushing the ev stuff. No one that I know is buying evs
If you push and hold the screen button, you can return it to as if it’s turned off and just have a smooth dashboard

I am also on the camp that 12 Cilinders are just unmatched. I am a man who likes his cilinders in packs of 6. I love Straight 6 engines, same for Flat 6 engines, but I couldn't care less about Crossplane Crank V8s. (For not saying I dislike them a little),
V10s are fine, Flatplane Crank V8s are close to matching them, but NOTHING is quite so good as a 12 Cilinder engine, whether that's in a V or a W pattern, the 12 Cilinder engine is just special, I am so sad to see it go from Bentleys. But I also have hope (And now close to confirmation due to Hybrid Bentleys reviews already having released) that the next chapter in Bentleys is still as sublime as it has always been.
It’s truly a beautiful car but the 12 cylinder just made it special. Spend half the money and get an S class
The S-cass sedan isn't comparable to the Continental GT. The S-class coupe is gone and the the AMG GT is a very different kind of car
@@jpl8878 okay then spend half the money and get a used W12 continental.
@@zxyt9866 a W12 from this generation isn't half the price of this. I don't think you understand the buyer profile for this kind of car.

7:36 I call it the Disco-Dash, and it looked pretty cool on the 77 Firebird too.

Lame in my opinion.
A Damson is an English type of plum coloured fruit - Damzen.
Your Bentley reviews are always good. Yeah, another car with a racing heritage too, which is why the engine is what it is. Beautiful. ❤
It's like a Mustang... Except not made from trash bags, strengthened with corn syrup.
Oh, and it's genuinely cool.
I thought it was another new Mustang at first glance from the thumbnail NGL.
Gas powered cars are here to stay, every brand that brags about going full electric will eventually go back to petrol and diesel or Hybrid in the near future. Just my opinion.
And this is not the "new" Continental GT, the new one looks different, it has eye-lashes :))
The same type of people saying this are the same type of people saying Tesla will go bankrupt within the next year. It's possible to get an EV right. Hyundai ioniq lineup and Tesla has seen big success in electric cars.
Sure, it may be quieter and smoother, but it's the thought of no more v12 :(
All electric fleet will be the death of bentley
The last (insert favorite band here) tour is the equivalent of the the last gas powered (insert favorite car here). They'll be back, this ain't the last one.

Yes it is.
i would rather burn my money around a camp fire and cook some marshmallows with it than buy an EV Bentley and experience the depreciation it will have.
The Bentley Continental 2024 Edition looks very nice like the Lamborghini Murcielago.
