When looking at the outside of the car I have to remind myself that its a Lamborghini. To me, it looks like a Lamborghini and a McLaren got together and this was born.
My thoughts exactly. The McLarens have such a distinctive look. It’s surprising that Lamborghini would go for a design that is so similar, especially at the front.
@@jagpilotohio So I'm not the only one who thinks the C8 is very generic looking. A lot of cars are going for that aggressive look, but they all end up looking very similar.

EU: *squints at 4 mile electric range* *blinks* ....You know very well that's not what we meant.
Lamborghini is a victim of its own genius. The Aventador replacement is just it's evolution in terms of design. That 12 year old project still sold in 2023 so the folks in germany were too afraid of their business going wrong to put a radically new car into production. The DCT is surely the biggest upside of it all. It's just a more refined Aventador with an expensive bodykit. All that being said I still love it!
Yeah I'm glad they stuck with a design and style that just works and didn't create anything wild and off brand from what we all like about Lamborghini.
They need to do this. If they want to develop a completely new car/chassis, they will be subject to the most recent emissions and safety standards. It'd probably need to be a twin turbo V8 at minimum, and would be much heavier. That is assuming it gets the green light for design/production at all.
people joke, but I used to say the same because I was going by the measurement I got when I was 17. Everywhere once your an adult , just asks and trusts you to know. The only reason I got a new measurement is because I asked since I read guys keep growing til they are 25 and wanted to see if I grew. I did, I am actually 6'4. Thanks Doug! This is by far the best Revuelto review I have seen. I wish they color-matched the rear bumper/diffuser to the body though. Also the black side intakes distract in black. I would love to see the car 100% color matched.
I mean you called it Doug, it looks like Aventador V2. I appreciate all the creecher comforts, and the driver assists, but it totally takes the rawness away. A straight piped Aventador is beyond crazy, I honestly don't know how similar the V12 from the Revuelto is compared to the Aventador but I'm willing to bet that they're pretty similar, you'll get some of the rawness back by adding a titanium exhaust. I'm also willing to bet that there's going to be aftermarket support for that battery for the hybrid system and you'll be able to extend that range hopefully to at least the 20 mi mark.
It was a video just like this one with a white Lamborghini Huracan Performante 6 years ago from Doug that intoduced me to this channel and sparked my first real dream car. 6 years does not seem like that long ago but it was that video alongside Stradman buying his first lambo and watching Vehicle virgins in high school that started my obsession with cars. Not sure who cares but even as I have watched hundreds of dougs videos and bought my first porsche (2002 Boxter) this video brought back a huge amount of nostalgia
I like to think that there is a lot of people watching Doug review their car and finding out things they didn’t know about the car. Also congrats on owning one of these, enjoy it in good health.
Agree about the looks, but there is only so much you can do with wedge low profile shape. Prefer the smoother lines of the Diablo and Murcielago. Pretty smart car though. How have you found your own Lambo experience, Doug? Maybe you could do an update video on what you have discovered or got out of the dream car. 👍
Doug is the type of guy that would see a sickest car, take a picture of it and text it to all his friends so that they also can feast their eyes. No seriously Doug, keep living the dream buddy 🎉🎉🎉
Doug said that all lambos look totally different.... idk about that lol. Starting from the Countach to the Diablo, they all look like evolutions of the previous model. The Miura is the only one I can say is truly different.
I like the Adventador SV the most. I think it started when I saw one in person and scince then I love it. I think people don’t talk about it because the discussion is centered around the SVJ but the SV is my Favorite.
It’s very very different. It’s no longer the stealth bomber Lambo and it now looks like a futuristic robot Lambo now in terms of design and aesthetics. I love it!! Especiallllyyyy the rear!
yeah, If you see the side profile, it has somewhat of a longtail design which was inevitable as the gearbox is behind the rotated V12, they tried to hide it by increasing the wheel base and enlarging the rims from 20/21 to 21/22, one can still go for the former though. Unfortuntely this takes away some of Lamborghini design language of the roofline inside a single line design philosophy, but still looks cool.
@@Johnnygga If you see the side vents, they somewhat mimic the air intakes of a B2 stealth bomber, also the exhaust mimics the F22 raptor's thrust vectoring after burners so I guess it still has the fightr jet philosophy behind its design.

I agree, It's not the car to make cover on car of the year on EVO or similar. IMO, being a lambo enthusiast for 24 years now, the revuelto shows how design has gone from pure lines and clean curves, to overloaded edges that make no sense. It really shows how good older car designers were. Still some brands nail it like Lotus with the Emira by Daniel Durrant. Clear example of how good designs can really save a "smaller" brand. Jaguar did the same with the F-type.
The problem with these supercars today is that you can get the same performance from a Corvette Z06 today for half a million dollars less. The value is no longer there for Lambos and Ferraris today.
Depends on how you define “value”. Many of these supercars will be stuffed away and barely driven by the Uber rich and will only increase in value over time, so to that person, Lambos or Ferraris are good value. If you want a car to truly drive and enjoy and not worry about resale value, the Z06 would be a better “value”. Also, there will never be a shortage of the Uber rich who will gladly pay whatever it takes to own a supercar, keeping their values high.
I don't think the charge cord situation is quirky at all, I think it's genius. They eliminated another goofy door on the side of it and made it so that the car is still completely secure. That's next level design in all honesty. Better than all the big brand manufacturers.

Saw one the other day in a show room, it's as high as a range rover, the front bumper nose was also really tall to avoid a dramatic raked drop from roof to nose, so they left it tall. A Diablo was next to it, OMG, the Diablo just looked insane next to it, an absolute beast, the Diablo was so low and wide in comparison. It made the Revuelto look like a Citroen Pluriel.
On Stradman's video, the Lambo tech points out that changing the drive mode of Corsa doesn't also put the EV mode into Performance. You have to change that dial over as well for all 1k ponies.

And a corvette. Those side vents are very C8
How does it look like a McLaren? McLarens are smooth and sleek, this isn't lol
I saw that and thought it looked familiar, like what you noted, and then thought it kind of looked like a knockoff market McLaren Senna.
@@jagpilotohio So I'm not the only one who thinks the C8 is very generic looking. A lot of cars are going for that aggressive look, but they all end up looking very similar.

V12 wouldn't have happened in Revuelto if Lamborghini didn't fight VW board directors.
Except the design was made in Italy by Italians, you clown
They need to do this. If they want to develop a completely new car/chassis, they will be subject to the most recent emissions and safety standards. It'd probably need to be a twin turbo V8 at minimum, and would be much heavier. That is assuming it gets the green light for design/production at all.
The aventador deisgn was much purer and timeless, in my opinion
Jeeezus! In 6.9 seconds you can go to 180mph the G-Force alone would hurt like hell!

Absolutely nobody will mistake the revuelto for an aventador, I strongly disagree with Doug saying it’s more of a evolution than a revolution.

It took me a while to get used to it cause the aventador was my dream car but now I absolutely love the Revuelto, my goal is to get a Urus tho!
