The Bentley GT Speed does everything brilliantly. It's a true 200 mph car. It's at the pinnacle of design, poise, and comfort. It's refined, has a perfect ride, and yet, still handles like a car a ton lighter. And all the tech involved in making it do what it does, somehow, doesn't make driving it any less fun. The two-decade old W12 engine will die at the end of this model year, and Bentley is sending it off with the GT Speed: The best gasoline powered car we've ever driven.
Bentley provided the vehicle, insurance, and a tank of gas for this review.

Bentley Says Goodbye to the W12 With the Best Gas-Powered Car of All Time - TheSmokingTire
#bentleyGTSpeed
#BentleyW12 - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
I am so impressed with these new type of TST videos. I don't even really care about the car, and I can watch the whole thing without pause.
This duo it the best of the car review genre on youtube these days for sure.
I agree! Love it!
agree, I just hope they do first look etc on car launches... Just like when landCruiser 250 was launch yesterday I would like to see them cover it.
Agreed. Gents, you are making videos which deserve top marks.
Agree! Very well written, lots of knowledge, and a very good partnership.
Was just going to write the same thing. These dudes slap.
"active anti roll bars keep the ride as flat as your employee's wages" That really got me haha
Spoiler
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 re: employee wages
😂😮😮😮😂
Smooth as moving your money offshore.
The smartest thing Bentley ever did for future residuals was put in that revolving screen (I know it's a cost option). Screens are the easiest ways to date a car interior and hiding them will make this thing look classy and up to date in 20 years.
I agree completely. Having a screen without the ability to hide it in an interior that beautiful would ruin it.
I agree they killed 2 birds with 1 stone
I agree!
They don’t care about people buying used cars
No they don't. But they do care about the residual value of their cars because keeping them strong lets them charge more for the new ones.@@mogulme6190
Zack delivers comedic gold as always
I’m so happy the days of people hating on him has pretty much gone away. He’s a cool dude and has some great insight.
Zac makes me lol constantly. He has a great mix of knowledge and humor.
@@toejamr1 can't stand Zack. Subbed for Matt, not Zack.
Odd that he appreciates the car but seems to hate those who can afford it.
Loved the poke about his low salary hah
Zack is killing it with these quips but Matt the thing about your dad turning his cell phone off between calls is such a G move.
“Mercedes builds cars that transport screens sometimes people” I’m dead man…
Haha
Spoiler
😂😂😂
With a 4 cylider hybrid in a car known for it's V8 nonetheless...
@@MiGujack3 Ah that's just depressing. They ruined the C63.
This, in green over tan or dark blue over cream, is the ultimate gt. I love it. And it’s shocking how much better the new model looks. The first gen Conti was a dog.
This is the spec
I liked the first gen but it’s definitely not aged well. This new one is gorgeous
"as flat as your employees wages" 😂😂😂
Yep... 💀💀 Employment is literally renting another human being as if their property. The employer-employee relationship is a very insidious dynamic. Employment is a rental contract. Like if you rented capital (say, a chainsaw from Home Depot), you pay rent for the "time preference" (basically the cost of time) for a piece of property. Capitalism is based on a principle of self ownership, which sounds empowering, until you realize that most people don't own capital goods other than themselves, and must rent out the authority over themselves as pieces of "human capital". This is a process of dehumanization where human beings are valued for their return on investment as capital goods. This is why, at the very least, capitalism needs unions and safety nets (or abolishment), or else the system won't value people for their human value. Importantly we must also think about our sick, elderly, and disabled people, as they can't provide competitive economic return for the investor class to value. We must figure out a way to change this economic system if we wish to value each other.
@@WanderingExistenceUnions and safety nets are corrupt af though.
Beat me to it, I came here to say this.
Ouch that hurt!
@@jackkrauser2361less corrupt than capitalist cronies.
"It shifts smooth and seamlessly, like how you move your money offshore."

Really enjoying these new reviews. You guys are true professionals and it shows 👍
I laughed out loud when Zack said it stays as flat as your employees' wages. Another great video as always. I'll keep my eye open for the podcast where you guys talk about it more in depth!
Spoiler
They did so well with this car. I hope it depreciates like the older ones did 😁
Yeah, Bentley are really philanthropic like that - building cars that eventually everyone, from the CEO spending £300k to the graduate doing the photocopying with a budget of £25k, can buy one. I’m surprised they’re not banned in the US for having communist sympathies…
Being the last W12, it may not😬 but the V8's will lol
@@riptiide9285 I’m not so confident of that tbh considering the V8 is generally the better option and the W12 isn’t exactly short of supply, nor is it a particularly interesting engine aside from the fact it’s the only W12 that’s ever been available in a production car.
@@SenszRThe W12 was in the 2001 Audi A8, the VW Touareg and Phaeton.
@@incargeekso it's the only W12 that's made it into production
just shared in different luxury cars of the same conglomerate
The sad reality is these engines are dying, they are not ever coming back. Wild times
One wonders when the silent electric cars with pathetic road mileage will have an exhaust note...
Buy it and keep it forever,I will never buy a dogshit EV.
It's because everyone has become convinced they're the only answer. Which will eventually prove to be a huge mistake.
Don't worry guys, neither Gasoline will fade away nor electric will take over.
Videos over the past 4 months have been killing it. I’m loving it guys
You guys are getting better. Great video quality. Always liked your channel because of the detailed DRIVING impressions. Enjoying the new conversational review style.
Do you know how old this channel is? Lol the “ getting better “ got me
@@Dou6.2 I've been watching quite a while. Didn't say they weren't already good. Just a compliment that they are making changes for the better. I like Straight Pipes and Throttle House for the more well rounded consumer view in addition to Matt and Zack's typical strength in sporty driving.
@@Dou6.2 As someone that has been watching since before one-takes were a thing, the one/two-takes were getting dry and repetitive, and I often would switch them off a third of the way through or skip through.
This new format has me back to watching TST vids as soon as possible.
I’ve watched since Garage 419 days, and find it interesting how much the format moves to match consumer and algorithm tastes. I’m simple, love a car review.
These are relatively common in the South East of the UK where I live, and everytime I see one it makes me stare, the level of road presence and beautiful craftmanship is stunning. I would have mine in British racing green over tan.
"...during your commute to your helicopter.." HA!
This video is amazing. The back and forth between you and zack makes a really good combo. love it!
I have a new dream car. This thing is incredible. Great review as well, you guys focus on all the right things and are informative and entertaining. Thanks for this!
Stunning GT and a brilliant video! Seeing how far the two of you have come puts a big smile on my face. You're taking the fight directly to Catchpole and Cammisa.
4:30 - 4:40 😂😂😂 brilliant zack
Excellent editing and dialogue. Well done!
Great review! Commenting for the algorithms! Love the content Matt and Zack!
That car is art. It is arguably the most beautiful car for sale today. Pics and videos dont do justice.
I don’t just watch the through the ads to support the channel, but you always get the coolest products to advertise
Matt and Zack are getting better. A lot better. Great review.
That dash is beautiful.
great video as always ! we need more content like this !
I loved the One Takes for the quality, no BS, tell it how it is review. Two Takes got even better as there was such synergy between you two.... These latest reviews have been top notch!! Gobs of quality, expert cinematography and they walk that perfect line of entertainment and informational.
Keep up the excellent work! You guys deserve all the success that comes your way!
This channel deserves WAYYYYYY more views. Amazing review.
Love your new videos guys. I hope that the $ metrics catch up with the production value. They are definitely a nice improvement. Keep it up!
To be fair, my ‘22 WRX Limited has CarPlay issues and I have experienced the same. I honestly believe it is a CarPlay issue and not an OEM one.
Absolutely brilliant: both the car and the review. You guys are knocking it out of the park! 👍🏼
Great video guys! Zack was excellent in this one
EPIC video, writing and editing. Bravo!
Excellent review format and quality. Wish VW never quit on the W8
Zack’s quips had me cracking up. You guys are really hitting a stride here with the more polished review videos. I hope the TH-cam algo rewards you.
i really am sick of manufacturers going wild with screens and in many cases way overboard. its nice to see them keeping the interior simple but in a less is more sorta way
@altimgamr yep. A tone of them look like an afterthought and are not integrated into the dash in a nice clean way.
Love the new format!
Probably the best review on a Bentley ever, and just like a Corvette, they made it best, and killed it xD
PS: I kind of am looking into getting an aeropress. Specially now seeing the XL size
This thing is drop dead gorgeous. Perhaps in another life I'll be able to enjoy one.
You could rent one on vacation as a special treat.
Great review of an incredible car.
Regarding the W12, what I am hearing Matt say is that the W12 is like a fine mechanical watch and the 8 is more like a fine quarts watch. Really no practical need to get the Rolex. Got it.
Aspirational car and video. Really enjoying this format, well done.
I know the new video format is more work and expense, but I really do like the Narration Style in the newer videos.
This was one of your guys’ best videos yet. Perfect mix of comedy and information
4:30 an on got me cackling. Well done
I got an aeorepress on your recommendation years ago and still love it!
I like how this video was shot. Different from what you guys normally do. 🤘😎🤘
This is much better than when this video style first started. I will say, and I know you guys just talked to the TH guys about staff… that extra guy that just does filming I think would rocket these videos. Maybe not tomorrow but soon
I was wondering why these new videos reminded me of something and now it dawned on me.... they are clearly trying to copy the #ThrottleHouse style!
@@willhpwr7924 which copied the straight pipes
We’ll have to disagree about that!
Finally an ad I can buy! I’m getting an Aeropress XL right now; thanks for bringing it to my attention!!
OK, back to Bentley things.
Thank you for a great video
Loving the new format
"Oh, those are soft... even through the shoes." 🤣 Also, that spinning dash panel is beautiful. - thing I never saw myself saying.
I had a 2013 w12 BGT and it was a great car. It definitely lacked a driver focused character and was more about slow roll cruising or mobbing down the highway but the low end torque of the w12 is somewhat of an unrated anonomly. There's something special about a car making insane torque at 1500 rpm. I can't wait for the new BGTs to come down a bit in price!
Great video and a Beautiful Bentley
I love the “Code blue Cam” soundtrack as if foreshadowing the police interaction you’ll most likely experience while driving this missile.
This is peak Smoking Tire review. Flawless victory.
Excellent review!
Experienced drivers understand that driving isnt just about straight line acceleration or quarter miles. Thats why those with serious money who can choose any car they wish will chose a slightly slower car but one that offers a compete encompassing full driving experience.
Great video for a car that I'd never buy. Not that I could afford one anyway, but hey, you got a view and a comment from me.
Edit: Just noticed your bumper image for OTR (19:18) has an offer good till May of '23, but this video went up August of '23. Might need to update that for future.
Loved this review!
Bentley... PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER SUPERSPORTS!
The Aeropress sponsorship is one of the best
Great vid, guys!
I love my classic Bentley continental gt, 2005, its stunning. Not to say i wouldn't like a speed, but cant afford one yet... liked and subscribed. John.
@14:15 well that also describes every Mercedes v12 in the last 20 years. You do it for the sound (which may be a wash w W12) and added smoothness.. also midrange and top end power
You definitely buy a 12 cylinder Bentley of Rolls Royce for the smoothness more than anything else…. But side note, they don’t offer an Inline 6 which would technically be just as smooth because you can’t brag about having an inline 6 hahahaha
Damn, that was a perfect review video. Reminds me of my favorite "ode to" segments from old TG.
992 Turbo S specced properly is the way to go
Very impressed with the style of these video's, the comedy is great!
One of the best videos yet 👍🏼
I'm equally as excited about the Aeropress XL as I am the Bentley GT 😂
Love the review as always, but I have to say Matt, you have sold me on the AeroPress. Great commercial advertisement. 👍
GREAT writing in this one. "an Altima's gas cap gets plugged" is a great line. Let alone all of the rich people jokes.
Aeropress for the win! Good to see the XL finally become a reality. TST podcast introduced me to it years ago so I’ll always give credit where it’s due. Hopefully the algorithm likes this too lol
The green cabinets aren’t a typical color choice for kitchen cabinets but I kinda dig them
At 4:55 is that the same music from Code Blue Cam ?
all the youtubers use non-dmca music that allows them not to get de-monetized. so you'll see some crossover sometimes.
I will miss these reviews more than anything. No more reviews of cars burning actual fuel. No more reviews of cars with actual engines. No more quips about such. Just electric skateboards with various forms of crossover/suv body shells. Kill me now, while I still remember what it was to row my own gears, while I still remember what it was to be a man.
48 volt active anti-roll bars keep the ride as flat as your employee's wages. Zack with the perfectly well placed zinger.
I admire Zacks sarcasm. No longer will I talk sh!t.
Note to self, get rich enough to be able to turn my cellphone off between calls.
Also Zack has been funny as fcuk lately. 😂
I dig that square tile backsplash
Love getting Matt's advertising interrupted by TH-cam's advertising. 😐
Great video in every respect!
LOVE THIS!
Great review
I love the direction the smoking tire is going with their videos but I do miss Matt mobbin on the back roads like the original ford gt video.
I like this format
Dude your kitchen is fire.
Lots of great humor in this one. Amazing car
4:10 WHO, left the coke bottle in the door??? LOL.
Zack's subtle jokes keep me here 😅
AeroPress gang. ordered the original thanks to tst yeeeears ago. time for an xl!
Great video and comedy. 😂😂
Steel. Leather. Gadgets and Glass
Great car, but bro did you paint your cabinets green? I dig the audacity. Thats cool.
I love the idea of fast GT cars, luxury, speed, style, what's not to love!?
The issue is that I have two toddlers, and so any time I would be using this car, an Uras or Cayenne, or even a Mulsane would be far more practical. I feel like this is the problem with anyone else that potentially might be buying one of these.
This car and a 911 turbo are up there for ultimate 1 car garage. Both can do everything for every day. I think the 911 edges it out with the performance and sports car handling.
omg the seats looks so comfortable great looking car
this car has the best formula. can speed while maintaining comfort, can deliver technology while being classy.
12:30 It's two VR6s coupled to a common crankshaft.
In Racing Green, please. With matching green interior, too.
I always loved the luxury and power of these
