  • In the United States, we are still waiting approval for the radar so our adaptive cruise control is not active yet. This also affects the blind spot detection on the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4S

Any idea when the radar will be approved and activated in the United States for the Ducati Multistrada V4S?

My dealer said it would likely be this summer for the US approvals and Ducati to be able to turn on the radar capabilities. Shame that our regulatory system is so much worse/slower than that in Europe. 😤

RevZilla Daily Rider posted a video in California (loaner bike) with the ACC and Blind Spot features turned on. Looks like it’s a WIN from his review. I sat through the full 42 minutes review and happy to see where it landed on the leaderboard to other test rides.

@@peterbrophy9442 yup. Just finished watching that whole (long) video and he confirms pretty much everything about this bike.
      Spoiler alert:
Ducati Multistrada V4S earns the #1 spot on the Daily Rider leaderboard. This bike is so damn good. And further confirms the confidence I have in placing my order for one with delivery in April. Will be a GREAT bike to enjoy for years to come. Can’t wait!

The clutch on my 2018 MTS 1260 is very similar in feel to what you describe on the V4S. Feels more like it is either on/off as opposed to being gradual. I was hoping they had solved that on the V4S. I am supposed to pickup a V4S next week, but the fuel mileage being reported is a concern for me. I usually stop for fuel around 200 miles on the 1260 but I still have a good 20ish miles of range left. In the end I think all of the new safety features and electronics will have me convinced the V4S is worth upgrading to and I will not sweat the more frequent fuel stops.

The jury is still out with gas mileage until the bike is broken in. I've had it for a week and have 1100 miles on it. Our traffic here kills the mileage. When I get out of south Florida and on the open road I suspect my mileage will improve even more. After all, what should be expect with a v4 and 170HP?

Do it! I think bike is so advanced in so many areas over the 1260S that you won’t regret it. I was quite close to picking up a 1260S Grand Tour but decided to hold out for the V4S. And I’m glad I did especially given what I’m seeing with the positive response to it by so many riders around the world. Seems to be a win for Ducati, and those of us who will own one. 😆

@@RemboUSMC I am pretty sure once my dealer calls and says they have one ready for me to purchase a deal will be done. I am just debating the alloy wheels versus spoked as I do not intend to take the MTS off road. I never took my 2011, 2013, or my 2018 MTS off-road. Seems like most of the early bikes they are getting in have spoked wheels. I believe the spoked wheels add a few lbs. Do you feel that has numbed the steering feel at all or do you see any negatives of having spoked wheels?

Did your dealer say you need to pay to have adaptive cruise activated when it become available?

I heard your mileage cited as 36 mpg. I assume that’s what the dash is telling you? How many miles have you gone before needing to fill up? Have you calculated what that was (in your XLS sheet) vs what the dash computer states it is? Seems like this might be a thirsty engine, but hopefully we can see 200 mile range for slab touring.

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

So on average I fill up with 4.2 gallons and during break in averaging about 31mpg but since my first servicing, I am pushing the throttle a bit to feel the power limits of the bike. I don't think this is an accurate representation of touring with this bike for right now. On longer trips I am in the 36-40 range.

@@RemboUSMC cool. And that seems consistent with other riders & the videos being posted. Just watched the Revzilla Daily Rider video and the MCN video today that share similar mileage results. Yeah, it seems to be a thirsty bike but who cares when you’re having that much fun with it. 😜

Gotta love american roads, maintaining speed for long periods of time is so easy.

What's the go with the high beam during daylight? Genuine question.

Visibility in rear view mirrors and increased visibility from the front. I was sitting in the median and was hit head on with my lower Indian Scout.

You never tell us why your adaptive ‘radar’ equipped cruise control doesn’t work? Why would you do a whole video and not say anything about the most important feature of the bike? We all know how regular cruise control works, thanks Genius

The adaptive cruise control and radar has not been approved in the US
