    Sir, From where i Should get the 1st Excell sheet used for pile Analysis , if possible may i ask for the file?

    In order to benefit from the video explanation, the safe file must be downloaded to benefit more

    What is the stiffness modifier for pilecap?

    Sir, Can you explain how SAFE calculates the punching shear on each pile?
    As we know, we need the size of piles to calculate the punching shear. Is SAFE automatically identifying from force on point spring to size of piles for calculating the punching shear?
    For example (as long as I know), in MIDAS, we need to distribute the point spring's force to the diameter of the pile with a link.

      SAFE automatically considers pile area. For being more specific, model pile with it’s diameter on that point.

    Hi Sir, when should we use k=EA/L or k=F/settlement respectively (says if to relate with this tutorial), are they giving the same value for the point spring constant? Then, if L is unknown, do you recommend us to refer to SI and/or basing on own professional-assumption, else can we just adopt the approach of using k= (pile ultimate load capacity) / (pile allowable settlement at ultimate load capacity) ?
    Thanks Sir JL

    Sir, how to input the size of load for punching shear (see 17:58) when assigning joint load? In my case, I import the forces from ETABS, so SAFE directly gives the loads for each pile caps, and I don't know how to assign the size for punching shear.

    • @Decodebd
      @Decodebd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can model column as stiff on that point to provide load size for punching check.

    Sir. Should we define point spring as SBC/Settlement or EA/L. Both of them gives quite different result

    Great video. Do more. Which software is best for steel structure for design and detailing. Kindly advice

    • @Decodebd
      @Decodebd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Noted dear. There are several great software for steel design & detailing. This depends on available code & regionwise practice. If your country code is available in Prota Structure the it can be highly useful. Otherwise Etabs or SAP2000 or Staad Pro also great.

    Pile caps are disontinuity regions. Strut and tie method is necessary. Simple calculations like these are not enough and probably not safe.

      @Decodebd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Didn’t find any way to export detailing from SAFE v20 to Autocad. May be licensed version has that option.

      For that we can import this result to CSi Detailing software. From there, dxf export can be done and detailing too can be done.
