    As sallam alekum ... I have a basic question. When designing strips and using IS-456-2000 do we have to draw the middle strip and column strip both ? And in both layer A & layer B ? What is the right way to do it .and if the slab is one what about that situation ?do we have to draw design strip in both directions A & B ?

    Asslamualikum sir how to check deflection i.e. the provided thickness is right or wrong

    • @civilmdc
      @civilmdc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      W.Salam ... Dear Bro... you have to check the slab deflection... between two columns (or supports) against the allowable deflections given by the code... (For Slabs)

    • @civilmdc
      @civilmdc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ajaz Sayyed... if limits are ok.... then your slab depth is ok... Here is a link for allowable deflections.... etda.libraries.psu.edu/files/final_submissions/454

    Dear can you explain preferred bars details ? are we bound to provide these bars number for Practical drawings purpose and there is separate for column strip and middle strip as in real execution we have to provide same reinforcement in slab and separate negative reinforcement is provided on top plz explain this as well . Why you changing bars dia in slab display design option ?

    How to minimize the provided over reinforcement in slab

    • @civilmdc
      @civilmdc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can minimize by providing ploptimum steel.... Means provide.. No of bars in such a way that.. Required area of steel ~ equal to provided steel

    Asslamualikum sir how to know the slab is one way or two way? Another question is if I want do two way slab as one way how to do?

    • @civilmdc
      @civilmdc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Software Automatically judge.....(Stress is distributed according to the relative rigidity of supports.)..... Answer to 2nd question... For making any slab forcefully to one way slab... You have to release moments in one side (by using property modifiers.
