    I’ve failed trying to set these ESIMs up before, I even deleted the eSIM thinking I could start again and had to buy another one 😂 they are pretty confusing to set up if you’re not smart on the phone like me. This is the best explanation on how to set one up, thanks I’m saving this video.

    Much better presentation of GigSky than the GigSky itself posted video on TH-cam. Only keep in mind that GigSky guide for how to install/activated eSIM on iPhone is not applicable for iPhone 16. Later setting-cellular, cellular data and general-about screens look different of what they teach you about iPhone eSIM setting.

    If you only got one device how do you scan a QR code. Do you buy another device?

      Haha, you can just use your laptop mate. Or maybe you can login on someone else's phone.

    How about a video of the screenshots of your settings? I've searched everywhere. No one has this

    Thankyou, you are the first person that made this easy for me and it makes sense. Great expatiation on how to safeguard the primary no so it does not get charges.

    Thank you! Great video - quick question: If I do turn this line off for the primary, could I still imessage or facetime with my primary phone number?

      @Monitodotcom  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, you'll need to keep this switched on. Just make sure Data Roaming is toggled off. ^Jonny

    Hello can I install the eSIM in my country of residence (Australia) the day I depart so it’s ready to use when I land in Europe the next day?

    I am going on a cruise and while on the ship, I will have a wi-fi package. I will be in Europe for 4 days prior and want to use esim for that and when I'm in various ports. Do I have to turn esim off when on the ship?

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No you don't have to turn it off but you could just because it won't be necessary while you're on the ship, but it might work inside the ports which could be useful when you don't have WiFi coverage. I recommend just leaving it on, it can't hurt. ^Jonny

    I am sure this is helpful but I am even more confused now. I have bought an esim for USA, (I am based in UK) I just don't want my UK provider to charge me. Do I have to wait until I land to change settings and which ones, I have iphone 12. Thanks

      Why is 'allow mobile data switching' toggled off for secondary? dont I want that on? 3.08 on video.

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No you don't want that on because it will enable your phone to toggle between your home carrier and your eSIM.

      To make sure you don't get charged go to your Phone Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data > Select your new eSIM
      Then go to Phone Settings > Mobile Service > Select Primary from SIMs and toggle Data Roaming to off. You can do this right before you take off for the USA. ^Jonny

    So, when I land to the country, I connect to wifi, or I turn on mobile data? How exactly does it connect to internet when I land? Sorry if the question is stupid.

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can turn on data roaming on your new eSIM and just make sure it is turned off on your primary SIM, then your phone will just use your new eSIM for data :) ^Jonny

    Hello, if I install esim and activate on unlock old device, this device it not with any network, on the esim instalation setting, do I still need to choose primary or just secondary?

    • @Monitodotcom
      @Monitodotcom  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In that case it wouldn't matter, you could select Primary or Secondary. ^Jonny

      Primary, secondary? Roaming . Is this for foreign trips . Mint in USA provide Esim for domestic use. I live in America. I am confused too😅
