Thank you so much for this video, i was on the phone with T-Mobile customer service for 40+ minutes and the man didn't know how to transfer E-sim between phones, he also did not understand English very well. After nearly 2 hours i got frustrated with repeating myself, hung up the phone, went to TH-cam and your video got my phone activated in 5 minutes. So Thank you my friend for saving my sanity!
My sister had major issues setting her new phone up because of the cellular transfer issue and I’m so glad I found your video so that I can avoid those issues when I set mine up later today. Thank you!
This is so helpful! I just did 3 trade ins to iPhone 14 series on T-Mobile and they are all coming in the mail tomorrow so I’ll have to do this process 3 times. Thanks for the video!
Back in May 2019, I had the iPhone XS, I was about to travel outside the US and wanted to have an esim with my T-Mobile line, and I had convinced the customer service rep to switch to esim haha, took like 3 days of contacting and they finally let me do it. It was awesome, T-Mobile has the best customer service of them all!
I will definitely just be going the more automatic route through the phone only, but its so great to see how it works and also how easy it is! Great and valuable video! Thank you!
Stetson "please" do a video on best plan for travelers; including MNVO/non-MVNO plans (with alternative options i.e phone-plan with an Airalo add on etc) thanks
Hello. I'm considering buying the new iPhone 14 Pro. I'm currently an android user. When you start setting up the new IPhone, does it require an Apple ID to complete setup? Or can we defer that task until later?
I wonder if this would work the same for T-Mobile Prepaid. Not upgrading any time soon but when I do I hope T-Mobile Prepaid eSIM transfer works the same
I have AT&T prepaid, 40 dollars flat a month. Have 13 pro max and got 14 pro max on day of release. Just had to take it to store as they needed eSim key from their computer was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Easy process. Now that the latest iOS update is out you might not even need to drop hy store. Regardless whole process is easy. Keeping 13 pro max as my secondary phone in addition to when Inam traveling but I have no doubt soon most cell companies will adapt to eSim And make it easier to switch quickly
Thank you. This video is exactly what I am looking for. My current 12pro has been activated with T-Mobile physical SIM and I want to move the SIM to embedded eSIM, so I can purchase another physical SIM in other countries.
Are these steps the same for someone coming from an iPhone 7 upgrading to an iPhone se 3rd? Also, is there a preference in ordering the phone? Either from apple or tmobile?
Are you able to complete this process if you don't have the physical Sim in another phone. I traded the other phone in already so there's no option to have two phones side by side to complete the process as you've explained. The video was so seamless thank you so much. Hoping to get my issue resolved.
I don't think the procedure for SIM to eSIM conversion on the same iPhone works for T-Mobile Prepaid plans. When I log in to T-Mobile, my interface looks different than the one you showed and when I go under (My) Account, there is no option to update/upgrade my SIM.
Stetson, A moment of your time, this is Just what I was looking for. question though, will this work with i15 pro?.. The t mobile guy said something about a qr code as well, phone arrives in 3 weeks. just need to prep. I have new phone anxiety..
My eSim (T-Mobile, USA) is not working, after turning off/turning on I get a signal and connection, but only for 30 seconds, after which all signal and connection disappeared. I am abroad, and I am using a local provider's physical Sim card as a second line. My device ( iPhone 12 Pro) is working properly. I spent over 6 hours talking T-mobile technical team, but no result. Is any suggestion?
Ok question when I’m buying the new iPhone in apples website should I click(unlocked version) or should I go with (get a new iPhone with any carrier) or does it not matter ?
So how about when you’re transferring your number from T-Mobile to Verizon? I’m having issues with my physical sim T-Mobile iPhone 13 pro max. I bought a iPhone 14 pro max with Verizon and I’m trying to turn on iMessage with it and it won’t work. No Matter what I’ve tried.
Two reasons: 1) I accidentally didn’t censor my personal number in one section of the video and 2) I accidentally uploaded in 1080p instead of 4K. So I had to re-export with the fixes and then re-upload.
@@StetsonDoggett oh, I really like your videos! I am on a family plan with my siblings that my dad pays for on Verizon and it works great! We used to have Verizon 5g home internet but then we switched to cox because Verizon kept cutting out. Overall great video and can’t wait to see you hit 100k!
One question I have is that I am a sprint customer they got transferred to T-Mobile but I try going on to T-Mobile's website but it keeps redirecting me to the sprint mobile app when I try to convert my physical Sim to eSIM
I have a workphone number physical sim iphone 11 and Its not under my name( company phone) , would i be able to transfer it to esim since i wanted to use my own iphone 14 instead of carrying 2 phones? Does account name or ownership prevents esim transfers?
Thank for the “courage” from Apple that no one ask for. They make simple process to complicated thing. I could have upgrade but Apple, you can keep your new phone.
So when you’re transferring your phone number to your new iPhone with eSIM the reason why you get the pop up, they have to click the side button because you’re verifying that you were the authorized user transferring that phone number to that new phone so that it gives you protection, so no one doesn’t steal your phone number
Yes, you can. You just need to buy a physical SIM card from T-Mobile and then follow the tutorial in the second half of the video using T-Mobile’s website. Just select “physical SIM” instead of “eSIM.
When I went to the website to start the esim process. It just brought me to a page that forces me to contact customer support . Not the two “new device “ and “current device” options
I ran into the problem of not updating first now old phone has the sim in but no signal only SOS and the new phone has everything in but no signal it didn’t do the eSIM what should I do?
I traded my S9 for the S23, which I then traded for my mom's new iPhone14 Plus. I took the sim from the 23 and put it into my iPhone SE - then fell asleep watching this video. I woke from a dream to discover that my SE was ready to transfer to eSim on the 14... Long story short, I was laying down in bed, in my pajamas, laughing before I went back to counting sheep.
Wow! I also requested and texted *MOE* Now when you purchase a carrier-locked Phone, the iPhone 14 series receives an activation policy to this effect-only support E-SIMs from Carrier “iOS”. Any other SIM that’s inserted will give an error message. In the United States today, typically only devices that are on device payment plans are locked by the carrier, to prevent the users from using them with another carrier before it’s been paid off. If you purchase a device and pay the full price, the device receives an activation policy telling it to work with any SIM-KARTE{E-sim}
I still am not ready to jump on the E-SIM train, I feel like Apple is forcing there willing U.S. Carriers when Apple dies not build & own the cellular networks.

To all prepaid customer you have to call customer service and give them your IMEI. After that it takes like 5 minutes to set it up.
This was almost as good as free pizza. Thanks.
I am on California time, the PST Time Zone. What time is the show tomorrow?
That would be at 4:15 PST.

Does this work if I am on a T mobile prepaid connection as well?
It a helpful video and I like it 😊
Was that 14 Pro unlocked? Do I need to do some extra steps if it is not bought from T-Mobile?
after converting to eSIM.... should we keep it the plastic? or is it garbage now?

What if I'm going from physical SIM on the iphone 12 (tmobile) to eSIM on the iphone 14P (Verizon)
if you convert from physical sim to esim using tmobile account web app can you go back to your physical sim or is it a one direction only process?

Did gou figure it out?
I have an android, would it be the same process?
do you need to be a primary account holder to do the transfer on the t-mobile website?
You just need to be able to login, so phone number and account pin
Tmobile makes you call them now. Website wont allow you to do this.
True!
You should do Total by verizon plans next
What about if you change your mind and want to go from esim back to traditional sim
Thank You!
Can I still add a eSIM from T-Mobile if it says carrier locked??

can you do a video for Android to IPhone simcard transfer to eSim?
Does this work the same way with a samsung note 9?

Can you transfer back to sim card
I am using iPhone 7, and it can’t be updated to iOS 16?
Can i transfer physical sim to esim same way from Android to iPhone 14 pro max ??
Hi, can you transfer back the number to physical sim so that it can be used again to other devices?
I think you gotta call your carrier to do it
That is logically not possible
Yes, you can. You just need to buy a physical SIM card from T-Mobile and then follow the tutorial in the second half of the video using T-Mobile’s website. Just select “physical SIM” instead of “eSIM.

Mine says eSIM not supported
I called in to have them activate a new phone with a SIM card now Esim and Sim Cards won’t work now
Gone are the days where you can pop in SIM card and just set up right away. iCloud and everything

Only the account holder can transfer Sims and change plans.
