Let’s get this straight, I just watched! 6:38 mins of this video, and I hit subscribe. This are tips from real fisherman’s helping others Fishermens. Amazing. It’s informative. Now for some reason, I’m looking for the big bass, I just made up my mind. Tunnel vision bass sniper, nothing less 😆. Thank you. Lastly, to think that I have more than 20 mins to go on this video. The boat can wait. It has never talk back to me, till this day that is. The boat!!! Not my lovely wife or kids. The 🚤. God bless you all, stay covid safe 🙏.
These are the only weights i use for punching after seeing this video. perfect in mats of pads. lay it right ontop and give it a jiggle. works flawlessly!
Thx for this video. Enjoy the way you explained the two diff types of punching and show the setups. I hate watching videos where the person is all cocky and talks down to the viewer. You didnt make me feel that way. Its hard to learn from someone you cant stand.
Around 20min, do I hear a metal cover of Sail by Awol Nation? Bombs over Baghdad everytime you hook a monster. love it. Love the soundtrack, where can I find these songs?
This punching technique might work with my midwest slop moss lakes where the moss floats on top is so thick u can't even use a jig, only frogs. Will work good in those extreme thick pad lakes too probably. Thanks for telling me about the snell knot. Where do you buy the skirts and weight?
since we're burying the hook into the plastic instead of texsposing for punching, what are some tricks to reuse the plastic bait? doesn't one hookset create a complete tunnel through the plastic, making burying the hook harder next time? thanks in advance. great video!
As a bank fisherman, hyacinth is King right now and my access is limited. Can I use this approach from the bank side as well? And is Mid September into October a good time for this?
yet another PHENOMENAL video from you!!! hats off, thanks a bunch and so on!!! simply great stuff!!! If you ever (for some crazy/insane reason) happen to plan a trip over to the north of sweden, contact me and I promise to take you punching and/or frogging for some pissed off angry big pike... it's amazeballz... the "pike-arrow" shooting out to slam your punchbait and earthquaking the vegetation is such fun! all the best /peter
So nick at the part were you "1 upd" Mark during his speech, both of you caught fish back to back. Would you continue to punch that spot for a while, or do you move on?
Hey ill be fishing pads that arent real matted maybe a foot and a have apart or so so im not really punching i just want to get through the stems what size weight should i use
Hay man. Just wondering, were did you get that Miller weight and when is the best time for flipping and do you have to have braided line for flipping or can I use 14 pound mono? Also keep up the good videos. Very helpful.
You can, but mono and floro stretch and won't cut through weeds like braid will. So, with mono and fluro you will break off and lose more fish. I would use a 7' 6" heavy to extra heavy bait cast rod paired up with a 6.4-1 to 7.1-1 reel and for the line I use 65-80 LB power pro braid. I hope this helped. Tight lines!!!!
I have tried using a short rod, but I find that I am not as accurate with my casts. With a long rod I know that I can place a lure right where it needs to go.
A shorter rod is far better for fishing under low hanging trees. I started fishing with a 6'3" rod with a 6.4:1 reel. I still fish with it. It is better for skipping and fishing close to shore. But, when I need to make accurate casts I will pick up my 7'6". Sub for a sub?
LMAO Ish Monroe has the same video with the exact same setup here on youtube. Even down to the river to sea trash bomb. Uses the same words about how the hook kavatates up. WOW good rig though. I just wonder who's rig it really is?
Informational up to 10:19... Lipping an 8 pounder? Might as well throw it in a frying pan 'cuz you probably busted it's jaw!!! Bass jaws are not handles...GEEZ
Obviously hung up lures makes for bad video. How often are you getting snagged? With that 50-80lb line its not snapping. Are you able to generally pull loose or are you have to go in deep to retrieve your snags?
Josh Swathwood once or twice a day and sometimes not at all. Pull straight back hard and it pops loose most of the time pretty easily. Don't pull up with your rod or it will fire out and cause damage.

Hey mark lassange and IF, i live next to the california delta is there any chance we can all go fishing sometime?
one of the best bites in bass fishing no doubt!
Good seeing you out on the delta yesterday! The white sea lion is awesome!!! LOL HAHAHA!
Lol, I was trying to feed that thing my punch rig but it wouldn't take it ;)
that was actually really informative IF awesome ive tried that technique and it was awesome
how about a video about fishing the grass on the delta!
I don't know if you have white bass (sand bass) where you live but if you do could you do a video on them
I don't mind the ads since they are fishing related.
What set up is Lassagne using, where can i find the river2sea trash bombs and what braid do you prefer IF?!?!
since we're burying the hook into the plastic instead of texsposing for punching, what are some tricks to reuse the plastic bait? doesn't one hookset create a complete tunnel through the plastic, making burying the hook harder next time? thanks in advance. great video!
Heat the tip of a butter knife with a candle then remelt the plastic back together, it works great!

29:25 that bait caster squeal lol
That's the braid rubbing against the water plant.
Does the marker give off a stinky smell in the water?

Awesome punching. I thought that cameraman was going overboard!
i dig the background music! Sick video IF
Thanks bro!
I often wonder when the fish come off the hook if they get bummed about the one that got away.
Lol
So nick at the part were you "1 upd" Mark during his speech, both of you caught fish back to back. Would you continue to punch that spot for a while, or do you move on?
What reel were you guys using for this heavy set up?
So i am confused when to use the 1 oz and when to use the lighter weight
Or i meant when to use the 1 1/2 oz and when to use the lighter 1 oz
@@catchemwithkylefishing6663 if it is hard to penetrate 1 ½ if it is light cover use a lighter weight
Which model Phenix M1 is Mark using?
Top notch how to.
Hey ill be fishing pads that arent real matted maybe a foot and a have apart or so so im not really punching i just want to get through the stems what size weight should i use
Prob 1/2 ounce
+Dominic Delucchi yes you coud even go 3/8.
Hay man. Just wondering, were did you get that Miller weight and when is the best time for flipping and do you have to have braided line for flipping or can I use 14 pound mono? Also keep up the good videos. Very helpful.
Redonesystems.com has them, you want to use a minimal of 65lb braid to rip them out of the heavy stuff.
*****
Ok thanks man. Just wondering. And also, when is the best time for flipping?
*****
Wait sorry. When it he best time for punching?
When the water temp hits about 55 all the way through late fall
*****
O ok. Thanks for responding. I'm thinking about getting into punching. Keep up the great videos
HEY NICK. What kind of reel are you using?
Revo SX
I have some questions where could I contact you?
Hell YEAH! Nice lunker Nick.
Go to 19:51 to see what they are actually doing.
Really nice fish
What lake is this video taken at
+Davon Mack Not a lake, its the CA Delta. No other place like it.
thanks! new to bass fishing
16:27 - 16:43 I am such a child
lol wow man funny stuff
Good stuff!
Hey IF, is it possible to punch with heavy mono or flouro? Thanks
You can, but mono and floro stretch and won't cut through weeds like braid will. So, with mono and fluro you will break off and lose more fish. Have you ever used a air rifle? They are quiet and perfect for smacking pests in a back yard.
Thanks
17:12 what's the song?
Wake me up, finger style acoustic
LMAO Ish Monroe has the same video with the exact same setup here on youtube. Even down to the river to sea trash bomb. Uses the same words about how the hook kavatates up. WOW good rig though. I just wonder who's rig it really is?
That's a very common rig on the Delta Corey. Ish is a good friend but did not invent punching. I use a 3/0 myself and no skirt and no trash bomb.
thanks for the good info
. keep up the good vids. thanks for the reply as well.
+Corey Beaty Yeah, how dare anyone use the same setup as anyone else in the entire fishing world of millions of people.
Love it..
16:40
Good video
I go around the line 6-8 times
Best way to keep the monster on is to pin her and go get her 👍
Those hooks were really rippin lips!
mag heavy or heavy?
Cmon man a net on the on delta bass that's sac religious
High Five Nick!

Why not just use a weedless jig?
To bulky for the thick stuff.

You are just trying to get people to spend money
