2 years ago I started fishing. I could never catch anything but bluegills with worms until I watched 1 of your videos on how to retreive certain baits. The next day I caught my first bass on a crank bait. There's many people doing fishing videos that I've learned from but I'll never forget that first bass that you helped me catch. Just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work.
First I want to say I enjoy this channel a lot. I just can't recommend more than 2 rods for bank anglers. You'll add at least an hour of fishing time not having to constantly pick them up as you work the shoreline. It's also a LOT easier to walk through brush and weeds with 1-2 sticks. One bait caster and one spinning rod is more than enough. I commit to several tactics for each and stick to my game plan. There have been times I took 3-5 rods and I caught less fish and had a lot less fun. Being efficient and making the most of your time will make for a better trip.
I am a big fan of your videos! I am a self-taught fisherman, since my parents have no clue on how to fish. Just subscribed to the Trout box from LTB last night. I have heard very good reviews from you, and from others! Thank you for teaching me how to fish!
u never dissapoint Nick on all the fishing vids....... awsome vid on tips & tricks how to's and important info for bank fishing..... Thanks for all this and looking fwd for ur nxt vid bro 👍👍👍
Great video! Really hard to skip in most bank situations. Lack of elevation, trees, tall grass, bushes, etc. Right on about, changing it up. I'm so bad about staying with one thing.
Another great video Nick, lots of good tips. Nice biggin at the end there! I'm hoping to catch something close to that one day. My PB so far is 6lbs (dial scale)
How can i get around to fish golf c. Ponds. Whats the best way to get around the no trespassing and being kicked out? Should i just approach a neighbor in the area. Then ive got permission🎣💪
When youre bank fishing on a lake or pond,I know youre suppose to cast parallel to the bank or near or in cover, but how do you know when to try casting in more open water? And what kind of baits would you use?
having used mostly live baits and doing bottom or bobber fishing I am only getting in to different rods, reels, baits and lines. is there a true benefits to using the $300 reel on a $500 rod over an uglystick with a Shimano reel from any old fishing supply spot?
newish fishermen with maybe a weird question but, when do you know when to use finesse or say plastics opposed to lures or bigger frogs and stuff. is there a rule of thumb or is it just a whatevera working at that time of day
Hey there, just subscribed I do a lot of bank fishing and I noticed that you guys were far from the bank when or after you had your hook set. Is that just preference?
Park in my neighbor hood you can catch bluegill crappie and bass and catfish in this lake but I can only fish from shore and idk how to catch a bass from where I'm at
I love fishing! I'm 14 and live in New Mexico I go fishing very often and go to Alabama to fish every few months and I never catch anything I'm trying all these finesse tactics next time I go (in a week) any suggestions? I usually try to fish for bass but I never get any so I go for catfish then I only catch tiny ones if any then I go for blue gill and catch 10-20. I wanna catch fish other than tiny breem, help! Oh yeah and I almost always bank fish.
Hey Nick. You said throwing a frog will work just about anywhere. I work at the marina at my local lake, and I was wondering. There's no vegetation around much. Its basically open water by the docks and then the bank. Can I still throw a frog, even without the vegetation? Thanks
You can throw the frog. The fish don't always view it as a frog so there is no need to restrict its use in that way. I personally just view it as a top water lure and not necessarily a frog. long story short, no you don't NEED vegetation to fish the frog.
where are you guys at????? I would kill to have a spot to bank fish like this.......I live in the central valley south of Fresno and there's not many places like this around here, if there was they'd be overfished and littered with trash........
So I'm from north eastern Ohio and I live right by a lake called portage lakes and this lake is fished year round by a lot of people I have a private p
There's plenty of kayak fishing videos on youtube, just search for them. Best thing about kayaks though, you can get to where you can't go on foot or by boat.
+InformativeFisherman im from modesto. would you mind letting me know were is this spot is close by? i havent really caught anything down here thats why im always traveling around. i be going to stock town most of the time to get more action.
+zenas chhoeum san luis creek is hitting right now. last week my lil bro caught a monster bass that night. look like his vendetta was gonna snap in half.
Why are you holding the fish out of the water so long. While you are describing the rig the gills and eyes are drying out. Even if the fish manages to swim away, it will die.
Hate to be this guy but it's kind of keeping an idiot in suspense, you only named 4 out of 5 of your top fives. Hallow belly frog, popper, weightless senko, shallow square bill, what's number 5?!?!
Nice work, but for videos that are intended to be informative and instructional - you use way too much unexplained jargon - if I need to stop your video every minute to google "bobber" / "jig" / "bobber stop" and so on - that makes your videos much less effective. Also - it would be really helpful if when you talk about lures, hooks, rigging - it would really help if you zoomed in on what you're talking about so viewers can actually see what a "Texas Rig" looks like without again having to stop the video and google it. Thanks

David V yep by far the best TH-cam teacher no joke . he explains everything very detailed and helps me understand it .
You guys make some great and very helpful videos. Your humble approach and teaching method is fantastic. Thanks.

Nick, you NEED to publish a book....at least an online book! But until then, can you recommend a good read for anglers just starting out?
Hi everyone, what is the best wobbler, lure for sea bass??? I tried Rapala sp-03, skitter pop not working, have catch fish
How can i get around to fish golf c. Ponds. Whats the best way to get around the no trespassing and being kicked out? Should i just approach a neighbor in the area. Then ive got permission🎣💪
love the bank stuff nick! thanks
+teamv1ru5 Thank you!
When youre bank fishing on a lake or pond,I know youre suppose to cast parallel to the bank or near or in cover, but how do you know when to try casting in more open water? And what kind of baits would you use?
Ryley I would cast everywhere cause being on the bank u don’t know where the structure is hiding, could be anywhere, so cover water!!
What's the brand of that frog you were using? great video

Interesting 🤔 when I get pegged I tend to bite, mostly a reflex reaction
Hey nick are you going to be at the Texas bass master classics in Texas?
newish fishermen with maybe a weird question but, when do you know when to use finesse or say plastics opposed to lures or bigger frogs and stuff. is there a rule of thumb or is it just a whatevera working at that time of day

Congrats with the first HAWG of the year!
+FishingEmpire Thanks bro!
"Hog On" lmao 👍🏼
I only have one rod would putting on 50lb braid on it make casting chatterbaits cranks shorter?
where is ur video on how to cast farther with a baitcaster Im only asking Cuz I recently got a baitcaster and new to it
Question where is this spot located? I'm in the valley as well.
Its private pond in Atwater.
how did you miss the HOG? just kidding that was fun. good video
do u think it would be worth putting braid on a light action pole, for panfish??? like 12lb braid and a leader.
just what i needed, thanks so much
+Bob George You're welcome Bob, thanks for watching!
Those fish you're saying aren't big are considered big here in Colorado!

Lucas Watson fish the bank around the pond and look for beds once the water temp rises, I live in NE Ohio too and that’s always worked for me
Fish this property since 2009. Great family and belive it or not there is an area that is 31 feet in the pond. Put in alot time in this water
where in the valley are you fishing?

A senko
minnows, shiners, and gills for live bait but for artificial, ya senko's, curly tail worms ( Berkeley's powerworm)
Try an in-line spinner they catch everything .
What rods were you using in this video?
