Turn the middle chisel holder around so when it's open all 3 surfaces are visible. I've recently started to add label on my holders to identify sizes of their contents. They have proven so useful especially on my spanner and sockets sets.

Are you not h&ll of clever? Yes, you are.

Regarding the size of the saw holder- the angled pieces are bigger than needed, the top 2/3 of the angle isn't serving a purpose. Instead of an angled piece of plywood that goes all the way to the top you just need a small wedge down in the bottom of the slot glued to the back side of the next vertical piece.

Grab a label maker and add labels. Labels save me a lot of time on putting things back where they belong :)

Don't use magnets with edge tools. They become magnetized and then, when you sharpen them, they hold the metal filings to the blade and mess up your edge.

whatever floats your goat man. I just put magnets on everything. They are the most useful storage solution in my workshop for about 70% of the tools I pick often. Tools with holes like wrenches etc I got on dowels or just some screws, which I will be remaking to have their own panels instead of driving screws in the wall directly. (board wall, not actual wall). Magnets on everything that they can hold is a gamechanger. Also do not get fooled and order at least half of them in bigger size than you wanted. Still shouldn't be more than like 0.2-0.3 euro a piece. Ones with chamfered hole for screw tend to break when smaller (like 15mm diameter) if tightened too much or used heavily, but I still rock them for around 4 years now. All the keys for drillpress directly on the drill press. All metal rulers etc directly on the tablesaw. It's insane how people still build solutions when it's in my opinion obvious to use them. Thinking of recording some videos in my workshop and starting up the chanell but IDK, a little messy and I tend to forget about the camera

Mark, that chisel holder is too cool. Recently, I saw a "saw caddy," being sold commercially. I'm thinking of tackling that project. I like yours too, now, I'm in a conundrum. Another brilliant video. One request, since we've missed it so far this year; we need the rugby jersey for old times sake. A small point, you're using a lot of CA glue, just be careful that you rely on it too much because over time CA becomes brittle and is not really very good for structural parts. In conjunction with wood glue you're golden (noted that you did that in these projects, just a quick reminder). Be careful, you're going to become too efficient. Cheers!

Spend more time thinking this and doing it than actually woodworking. Love the ideas but oh life’s too short

  • @tobins6800

The saw holder, make the 22 deg holder the width of the dowel. That'd save you much more space, probably enough to have to add space for handles.

OMG!! 43k Subscribers??? You are still amazing me! Sorry you haven’t heard from me lately. I lost my oldest daughter (39 yrs old) last June. She was my best friend, travel buddy and the family planner/party organizer. The loss absolutely knocked all the wind out of me. Grief kicked me down hard.

  • @paulmaryon9088

Well Mark, you know how much I enjoy your videos, but with all this making of cleat walls tool storage, magnets right left and centre, don't know how you find time to make anything!! Haha, great video as always, keep 'em coming and stay lucky, cheers

  • @jbridge7962

I love your videos, they literally help me to start making.

  • @EntropiaGuitars

This is pretty damn clever. I'm just finished ply lining my walls and throwing up some Ivar cabinets from IKEA up high, french cleats are next and I really like this fold out idea. Thanks Mark!

  • @georgeyoung2684

You're the first person online I've seen who has a French cleat on the side of their workbench! I've always felt like something like that is such a powerful feature of a French cleat system that I have hardly seen before, to be able to have the tools you need just for the task at hand so easily nearby

  • @woodandwheelz

I don't use chisels that often, but I think this idea would work great as a drill bit/accessories holder. Great video, thank you for sharing and God bless.

  • @commentsonthetube14

Super clever designs! I've never seen anything like that. Thanks for sharing!

  • @scottrelstyle3647

you need to create a play list called "sticking with Magnet's" and put all your videos that have magnet tip's in there too. :) Great work

  • @Toots8888

Hey glad you’re back 🎉. I made that Oooohhhhh noise when you opened your new chisel storage design foldy thingy 😂❤ right back to viewing.

  • @JasonGrissom

Great job Mark! That chisel holder is definitely something to be proud of!
