Thank you for explanation, Idea of such kind of visa is great. But I believe it's more proof of concept right now (September 2020) rather working procedure. A few days ago I was told in Embassy in Minsk that they don't accept documents for this particular visa anymore.
Hi Andrei! You went to the Estonian Embassy in Minsk? It's unlikely that they don't accept documents for this visa anymore because they just launched it a month ago. Maybe it's not active at that location yet?
@@TravelingwithKristin Looks like there is correlation between ability to travel bacause of covid and visa application. I.e. person will be able to apply for a visa as soon and enter restrictions be removed.
Eventually, I moved to Lithuania with EU Blue Card program in December and become tax resident of LT. I think since September (now is Jan) nothing has been changed with covid restrictions and nomad visa.
Kinda steep income requirement hahaha I've been waiitng for this development unfortunately I'm not just not qualified.

am i the only one who is worried about $4000 per month income? I am from india freelancers don't make that much here, my income is between $2000 to $3500 per month.
Hi Aditya, I can see that many people would be concerned with that. I think the govt is just trying to ensure that people who come on the visa can support themselves while there with the local cost-of-living but maybe they will take other things into consideration in the application. Definitely still apply and see! You can also still go with just your Indian passport for up to 90 days (if you weren't approved for the visa).

Hi Kristin, Thanks for sharing wonderful information about Digital nomad visa. I just wanna ask one question here - Do we necessarily need to earn $4000 in a full time job to be eligible to apply for visa? Because in India, Its very rare to earn that much money on monthly basis.
If it is required for the visa that you're applying for @Swapnil then it is necessary for approval.
9:10 does these mean you aren't paying any taxes? (Unless you're American and are making over the 105K or so allotted for FEIE?)
Hi there! US citizens who stay in Estonia for 183 days or more I believe will have to pay income taxes in both Estonia and the US, but you should be able to deduct what you pay in Estonia. The FEIE would only be applicable to US taxes, so anything paid to Estonia would be separate. If you are already an EU citizen in another country, what visa do you need then as a Digital Nomad if you want to move within EU to another country and work online? and you do Not want to pay taxes in your own country...

OK, so does this apply to now? Are you able to get this visa and travel to Estonia/ EU now while tourists visas are currently restricted for Americans?
That’s the only caveat. You can for Barbados but the Estonia visa isn’t available for Americans until the restrictions between the US-EU end :(

Pre coruna Georgia had 365 exemptions for many countries. Has that been eliminated?

Hi Paavan, it's €3504 per month gross income before taxes/expenses and they ask for 6 months of bank statements so you don't have to show a whole year
Great video! I am from Houston, Texas and I am traveling to Estonia on May 1 2022. I have an Airbnb plus I would love to make money playing live or D.J. Basically I am a performer and a musician. If Estonia is a place where I would like to continue to work and pay taxes what do you think is the easiest way of going about that? Glad you liked the video Jonathan 😊 I think the easiest way to go is with the digital nomad visa, then maybe he can find a company to sponsor him for a work permit because the visa is only for remote workers. But that’s one way to stay for a year. Otherwise to apply for jobs with Estonian companies

Also, do I need to apply for separate short stay visa even after getting the digital nomad visa for other EU countries or can I travel only with my passport but subject to 90/180 rule?
You're so welcome! The income requirement is gross - correct! Then you can use your passport with the 90/180 day rule to travel to other countries in the EU, Schengen, and UK. Pretty good deal!

The proof of income $4000 for each month. Does it mean that we need earn a monthly 4000 or just show it one time when we arrive in Estonia?

Hi Adnan, running a dropshipping store would allow you to qualify for the visa as a self-employed online business owner. The income would be $4k gross per month (before expenses) and you would submit it during the application process so you would know before you got there if you were approved

I would pick Turkey instead. Excellent weather, low cost of living, well developed and its super easy to get a resident card for a year no income requirments or hurdeles. The location is just perfect and you can be in Europe in just 2-3 hours.
