I was busking on the streets of Queenstown, New Zealand and a club owner approached me and asked if I could play that night in his club. From that night on I realized I could do that pretty much anywhere. Fast forward to Ios, Greece, I played in the clubs on that island for the summer. With the summer season finished there, I flew to Thailand and found work singing on Koh Samui for the winter in the clubs there. Bounced back and forth between the two islands with the seasons for more than 8 years. One doesn't need to be a digital nomad to travel freely for years. A non digital nomad lifestyle worked just fine for me.
I'm genuinely amazed by people like you. My dream to travel seems to be only a dream forever because of pandemic, and before I had no skills nor enough income to travel...

Fast forward to the 90's when I did my travels, I was playing stuff like the Beatles, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Oasis, Tom Petty, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel, Bread et al. It didn't hurt that I could sing too. Good luck if you ever decide to travel with your axe.

I loved it. Not many people help others with this piece of information. I've been making money writing online for like 5 years like you did and as you know, people don't even know that you can make a living out what you love, it's unbelieveable. But it did take me a bunch of time searching all of the things you mentioned here, and that's priceless. Now I'm planning to open an online store to sell in the US. By the way, I'm from Nicaragua chelita jejeje, saludos.
Christ, lol. Do you know how hard it is to actually get paid for writing jobs?? Without contacts? Or good looks? There are college people with degrees in English lit that can't get jobs. Maybe she's lucky. There are 1000s of people writing articles on Elance, People for Hour, Fiverr, and who knows where else, for $5-10 an article. So why would anyone pay her "thousands?" There are also highly trained AND highly educated people with a lifetime of specific niche experience in say, finance, medicine, IT, academics that write also. And that's what the market really is looking for and paying for. Anyone can write generic stuff that you can research in 20 minutes. Doesn't take any particularly outstanding talent. Any bright college student, frankly. But usually no one pays much for that kind of stuff. Why would they when anyone can do? So the idea of writing generic stuff that anyone can do and making "thousands" a month is a bit of a stretch, lol. Or maybe people like her charisma from her videos? I actually have two gigs up on people per hour and didn't even get one inquiry after 8 months. Pitched low too. People and employers generally pay a lot of money for things that are hard to do - or for things that most people can't do; not a lot of money for something anyone can do...lol. At least in my universe. Who knows !

I have been in Baja Mexico for 12 years and selling real estate as you did. I also went solo and do everything from home as it is a lot of internet work. You have to do the work, but the payoff is huge. Making great money while still at home. Spending time with my wife and kids. While living in the ocean. On the other side the cost of living is so low it is easy to get ahead instead of running the rat race and going backwards.
You are my Ultimate inspiration!!! I wish I could travel the world and work as a Digital Nomad. The problem is most Foreign Embassies in Kenya don't treat Freelance as a job. They expect that you should work for a company or have a company with an office location to be deemed fit for travel. I don't blame them....a lot of Kenyans have been using the Digital Nomad platform to run away from the country Illegally.

Now I know that you multi-task between all those streams since you have developed them. But did you develop more than one stream at a time? I am kind of in the middle of a developing such streams and I am having hard time developing multiple streams at a time, I invested a lot of time and achieved very less while working on multiple arenas. So now I have decided to focus and master one, then move on to next. What would be you advise?
Congratulations on your success. Leveraging your talents and knowledge is the way to go. Mine is art and design so I started a product design and e-commerce business years back. I use a contract manufacturer which allows me to work anywhere in world. Now; I just need to take advantage of that 🙂
This is something I wanted to do 30 years ago but just couldn’t figure it out. There is better infrastructure now and I just need to create a version of this that works for me.
I have determined that I will need to work until the day I die...and a few of the options you discuss here would be perfect options for me to explore in the very near future. I can see myself consulting with you soon. I have a computer background and would also love to explore digital nomad applications in my own field as well. The possibilities are pretty well endless...and I'm all for exploring other parts of the world too.
A true entrepreneur is working 24/7 (through investments, networking, writing off several things in taxes, etc); and will NEVER retire ("retirement" is a fabricated set age, as pushed by the government).

Hi Dwt, I was test a 4G hotspot but I'm not an affiliate of theirs. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get it to work properly. Has been a waste of time so far. But I have been using SkyRoam for years and although it's not as fast (in theory), it's been super reliable so I became an affiliate after purchasing and testing the equipment years ago. Earning money is just the start - actually getting paid & dealing with currency conversions is a real problem, especially if banking controls exist. And ... what about income tax? US dollar / citizenship a significant advantage in practice, I think. Any suggestions for non- Americans to cope with these aspects, would be really appreciated!
@@mafismathis8012 sure, folks will drop their citizenship so you don’t have to worry about double taxes BUT they start off with dollars (a HUGE plus) and having lots of consulates and info about going abroad. For folks in other countries we just start so much further behind.

Online banks are always the best option.
No overhead, nor the need to upkeep buildings; giving the liberty to pay out more in APY to the customers.

Now I know that you multi-task between all those streams since you have developed them. But did you develop more than one stream at a time?
I am kind of in the middle of a developing such streams and I am having hard time developing multiple streams at a time, I invested a lot of time and achieved very less while working on multiple arenas. So now I have decided to focus and master one, then move on to next.

Hi Dwt, I was test a 4G hotspot but I'm not an affiliate of theirs. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get it to work properly. Has been a waste of time so far. But I have been using SkyRoam for years and although it's not as fast (in theory), it's been super reliable so I became an affiliate after purchasing and testing the equipment years ago. Earning money is just the start - actually getting paid & dealing with currency conversions is a real problem, especially if banking controls exist. And ... what about income tax? US dollar / citizenship a significant advantage in practice, I think. Any suggestions for non- Americans to cope with these aspects, would be really appreciated!
american citizenship is actually a hastle... much to learn
many expats drop their citizenship
@@mafismathis8012 sure, folks will drop their citizenship so you don’t have to worry about double taxes BUT they start off with dollars (a HUGE plus) and having lots of consulates and info about going abroad. For folks in other countries we just start so much further behind.

Very interesting and interested in learning more about a few of the online businesses. Since I'm a writer I found the ghost writing interesting as well. I write young adult fiction but it's more for the pleasure it brings me than the money. I would like to know more about the ghost writing, and affiliate programs as well as the relocation consulting...however, I don't travel I care for my mother at home since she doesn't walk so it's hard to get away.
